Simple, smooth and reasonably priced! Diana helped every step of the way and worked with my schedule, which helped a bunch! The consultation made everything crystal clear and I knew what to expect every step of the way. If I had any questions at any point in time I could just send a friendly text and get a response quickly! The entire staff was friendly and inviting. Also, the procedure only took one day! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful experience. Staff is very knowledgeable about the procedure and are very professional. The procedure was explained to me and I was allowed to ask questions before we started. I was referred to Dr. Puig from a family member who had the surgery done a few years back. I just completed my transplant and I am very please with the process. Let me start by saying I enjoyed the experience I had getting my transplant, but looking back I know coming here was a mistake. I got my transplant 9 months ago. Unlike the majority of reviewers before me, I took the time to observe the healing and growth progress before dumping a useless review. So, let me begin.During my consultation, I asked the doctor a series of questions focusing primarily around how the FUT scar would appear after the healing process. Im a 28 year old African American male, who typically keeps my hair cut low. She assured me that the FUT scars appearance would be minimal for African American men with my hair length. That was a flat out LIE.Another major concern of mine hair density. She told me that the number of graphs she was recommending would be enough. Since the implant area on top of my head was relatively small, I believed her. My scalp is currently visible. This wouldnt have been as big of an issue if I would cut my hair lower, but cutting my hair lower would expose my FUT scar. I considered growing my hair out longer eventually getting something close to twist outs or braids, but the density in the front becomes an issue again.Im going to eventually try to get the FUT scar concealed in December, but Im highly disappointed in the lack of honesty.To All my African American men who have SOME hair loss, avoid FUT transplants and dont allow anyone to talk you into it. You will regret it.

This hair transplant doctor, Carlos Puig (also referred as butcher) is utterly unethical, unskillful, unprofessional, and untruthful. He lied, he preyed on insecurity, and he botched. He is a salesman and con artist. He went as far as setting up a hustle and bustle during your appointment or surgery day. He also used you to train new hair transplant doctors, called fellow. He chose words to associate with the professional medical world, such as Merck, Baylor, and Cleveland Clinic. And now PHYSICIAN... please give it a break. he is nowhere close to a physician. To whoever minds feedbacks here, the good ones are highly possibly fake, or by Mr. Puig himself. Each bad one is told by either a victim or his competitor.

My daughter went last week excellent customer service. Friendly kind and warm people. Caring and great conversation. They ordered us lunch and made sure we were accommodated. We arrived early in the morning and I was so tired after driving in from out of town to be with my daughter and the office staff placed me in a quiet quaint room to sleep. I had my procedure in December. My wife and friends laugh and cannot believe how well it has worked. Some of my friends still look at it trying to see any signs of a procedure. Glad I did it. Dr said I will see more growth. I am very happy with what I have now. Procedure was easy. Watched some movies, napped and had some great conversations with everybody.

This was my 2nd transplant with Dr Puig, the 1st was 10-ish years ago … life / kids / yada-yada, and my experience was consistent with my 1st transplant …. great!Dr. Puig and his team are knowledgeable, courteous, professional, fair.I have 2 sons in their early 20s and we are staging their assessment to proactively address their hair loss concerns. African-American in corporate America who has been suffering from hair thinning/loss about 8 years. Ive been using Finasteride, laser combs, supplements, etc but have not been completely satisfied with the results to date. I made a decision earlier this year to get the hair transplant. I researched various hair clinics and met with several before deciding to go with Physicians Hair Restoration Center. Their domain expertise, proven results, and customer service were the deciding factors. Dr. Puig and Diana actually listen and help you effectively strategize to yield an optimal outcome. I just had my first FUT procedure (2000 grafts) and am 7 days post op. He and his team were phenomenal and the procedure was meticulous but seamless. I was the only patient scheduled for surgery that day and they made me feel extremely comfortable which shows their commitment and concern for you. Ill provide an update again after a few months on the progress but so far so good!

However, I have to say that I highly recommend Dr. Puig and Dr. Rohani to anyone looking for affordable options for hair restoration and professional care. Dr. Rohani makes the most out of the free consultation and Dr. Puig has prescribed treatments that are working after only 3 months. Dont listen to previous poor reviews as these are the same person trying to sabotage their business. From my experience, this practice is legit.

Excellent Results

I had my hair restoration surgery recently on July 15th 2019, I had great experience overall, Dr Puig and Staff did an excellent job during my 11 hour procedure. I originally paid for 2500 grafts but I wanted more coverage on my scalp, my donor area was great so Dr. Puig was able to do additional 346 grafts. Total 2846 grafts were placed, staff stayed back past 5pm and worked til 630 pm very patiently placing each graft with Dr Puig to make me a very satisfied customer. Staff specially Ms Diana is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s 11 day since procedure and my grafts are well absorbed into my scalp as they were always there ! Can’t wait too see my hair growing longer !!! Thanks much Dr. Puig and PHRC team!

Stellar experience!!! I completed a FUT for 2,000 grafts here during a one-day procedure and honestly I think the experience was just superb. I felt no pain, was super relaxed and watched movies through the whole thing, aswell as being kept company by a staff of great and friendly people. Prior to the surgery, I was carefully informed about everything about the procedure and even learned a lot about the scientific research side of hair loss from a very well informed and knowledgeable Doctor. Dr. Carlos J. Puig is the main doctor at Physicians Hair Restoration. Carlos Puigs surgeries resulted in me being disfigured with huge scars. Before you even consider becoming a patient of this clinic, find the truth about Carlos Puig by searching in google for “carlos j puig complaints”. Puig was Medical Director of Puig Medical Group (PMG) from 1976 - 1996. So if I could give a rating of zero stars, I definitely would!Carlos J. Puig is a sick individual with no morals or ethics. I am justified in saying this because he was perfectly willing to permanently disfigure many patients, including me, just for a few thousand dollars that PMG charged for each brandy scalp-reduction surgery. Puig’s only motivation is greed, and he is fully willing to lie, cheat, disfigure, and ruin innocent peoples lives just to make money and support his lifestyle. For these reasons, Puig belongs in a mental institution for depraved individuals, and should definitely not be practicing medicine!I filed an ethics complaint against Carlos Puig with Merck, the huge pharmaceutical company he claimed to be associated with. Merck Office of Ethics made clear that Merck did not “currently have an association with Dr. Puig.” So, as a result of my complaint, Merck made Puig correct his online resume to make clear he was not currently associated with Merck..In March, 2015, I filed an ethics complaint against Carlos Puig with Baylor College of Medicine. As a result, Puig’s association with Baylor ended in March, 2015.

Did a lot of shopping around. almost went here but decided wanted a younger dr n also wanted somewhere dedicated to fue. this place good b/c offer fut/tattoo though not my interest. i give them points for great phone and customer service.

I had a hair transplant March 2011. Before surgery, I had only a few stray hairs atop my head. 5 monhts later, there is a good coverage. It is coming in very well. It may take a year for complete results, but so far, it is progressing as described in my consultation. I cant feel or see a scar from the donor area. The top of my head is still numb, but expected to recover. The hair growth looks natural. Still have a ways to go to be a full head of hair, but progressing as predicted. The scalp deadening was a minor event. The Dr and Staff were very careful to prevent and minimize any pain or discomfort. They were all very pleasant people to deal with. This transplant isnt plugs, it is over 2000 individual folicles transplanted. I did not miss any work. Avoided hot sweaty jobs for a few days. No one noticed I had the surgery. Ill try to give an update in December. Good job and reasonable price.Its 2016. Here is a follow up on my transplant. The new hair has remained. IN 2011, I had some original hair and added the transplanted hair. At the time, it was pretty good coverage. Over the years the original hair continued to thin and leave. But the transplant still looks good. Now to be fair, Doc recommended medications to prevent my original hair from disappearing, but I didnt want to take meds, nor spend the money on it. Im still happy with that choice because the hair transplant has done very well. One of these days, I may have another transplant to thicken it up and cover more on the crown of my head. ( an area I did not elect to cover in 2011). If you are thinking about a transplant, Id recommend Dr. Puig. Good job. I certainly feel this was a worthwhile endeavor.

I made the mistake of going to dr arocha. He talked me out of fue that i wanted. So i got fut and now regret the scar not to mention fragments of hair growth. Dr puig helped me partially recover but it was another fut. Watch out for arocha. I think he use to do vein medicine, trained at a hair mill called mhr, never did a residency nor got board certified like most doctors and you can check this with acgme. If you want fue dont let them talk u out of it. But for fut dr puog is not bad. This os based on my research and opinion but do your homework.

Dr. Puig specifically stated the results would be natural and dense. Unfortunately, in reality the transplanted hair was thin and not cosmetically significant. I was very disappointed with the results. I would NOT recommend Dr. Puig to a friend.

I drove from New Orleans to Houston to have this procedure done...and it was the best decision I have ever made. I am a real person, you can google me, and I have not been paid or compensated in any way for this review. I was also a bit worried by the online reviews and that website that was talking about some horror story. I went to go see him anyway to check him out.I looked at every hair transplant doctor on the gulf coast doctor from tampa all the way to dallas. Some I did an online consult, some i talked to on the phone, many I went to go see. Some of them were really super expensive and some were cheaper. Dr. Puig was right in the middle, as far as quotations go. This factors in all of the extras like shampoos etc. Puigs prices seemed fair; not amazing but certainly not even close to the expensive guys.I went for an initial consultation twice, because i brought a family member along the second time. Dr. Puig was the most intelligent physician I interviewed. He was patient explaining the procedure to my mother, which was important to me. I wasnt looking for a hollywood treatment doctor, i wanted someone who knew what they were doing. I was really turned off by some of the other doctors that seemed as if they were oozing money. (because that money would be coming out of my wallet). Dr. Puig was clearly the best, and I am glad i went with him.My procedure took all day, but I knew that ahead of time. There really wasnt so much pain. I just sat in the chair watching movies. My recovery took alot of self-discipline but wow did it pay off. For example, you cant touch your hair for the first couple of days and that was difficult for me. Im coming up on my 8 month follow up and I love my results. (Im told my results arnt necessarily typical). My advice is to really follow those post-op directions. Like I didnt touch my hair at all and I used an airplane travel pillow to sleep on the recliner so my head didnt rub on the pillow. Maybe I went overboard, but my biggest problem now is that I dont know how to style so much hair!I was also worried about the potential for scarring. When i went in for my second interview, I saw a guy waiting around and he said hello to me. Turns out, he was there to have a second transplant. He showed me his scar from the first one...or should i say the lack of a scar from the first one. Really, meeting this guy is what sold me on having the procedure. His hair looked great!The important bit that you might want is about the scar. i had the procedure where they take a strip out of the back. I am now 8 months in, I am told by my loved ones that the procedure is now almost undetectable when I have my hair shaved at 1 and 1/2 length. If you wear your hair short/faded on the sides than you know what i am talking about. When i get it shave to a 2, than you cant tell at all. When I show my scar to them, they can only tell its there in two spots. These are the two spots that are taking the longest to heal. These two spots are still a little bit sensitive, but for the most of the day I forget its there. Ive been using the hair laser on it as much as I can remember to and using vitamin e oil every other week. i know its there, but nobody else really does. And if they do, nobody has said anything.Only one guy mentioned my hair so far. Thats because he was away for a couple months and he used to see me every day. All of my other close friends didnt notice because my hair came in slow and steady. So if you are worried about that kind of thing, you really dont have to be.In the end, i would absolutly have this procedure done a second time. If, youve been to a consult than you know how much you can expect per procedure. My faith is 100% in Dr. Puig. I sincerely cannot recommend this guy enough.
