My mom, sister, and I stopped in to Mari Ari bout 30 minutes before close on a Saturday night desperate to find a few quick wig pieces that I could wear because I have just started chemotherapy treatments. We were on our way back to Louisiana from Houston, and I found their shop in a hurry, knowing I wouldn’t have many good options once I got back to my hometown.Ophelia was absolutely phenomenal. To say she was an angel to me that day is an understatement. She was so patient, kind, and supportive. She let me take my time, try on every wig I had an interest in, made sure I was knowledgeable of the products, and had everything I needed for success when I got home. We were even able to laugh a little throughout the process. She stayed way passed closing time to help me with all of this, which she didn’t have to do, and made sure I was knowledgeable of all of the services that they have to offer for me when I am back in town for my next treatments.If you are looking for wigs, hair care, makeup, or general beauty supplies with a heart behind the service, I would enthusiastically recommend Mari Ari, Ophelia, and Benny. They are doing such a great job, and I can’t wait to go back.

After suddenly and unexpectedly losing a lot of hair from my Covid hospitalization, I had about a month to come to terms with the fact I needed help and guidance until the new growth comes back. I had done tremendous research and called a few places, but Mari Ari was the best by far especially with the help of Ofelia. She was so wonderful and really listened to make sure we found the perfect one. She makes you feel really comfortable and helped me find the piece that looks natural while blending in with my own hair. Highly recommend!

Now that I have experience with buying wigs, Mar Ari is not the place to go. Especially for first time buyers. They are way more eager for you to buy wigs and make you feel beautiful than to actually help you understand quality and care for the wigs. I bought a wig from MEM beauty and the quality is INSANE! My new wigs from MEM beauty cost the same price for the low-quality wig I got from Mari Aris. If this is your first time buying a wig, please go to an actual wig maker and not a store that buys wigs from random vendors at a ridiculous resale price. Also, they offer $5 off (something like that) at checkout if you rate 5 stars up front.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I just had to say just how amazing these ladies are. Customer service was completely on point, everyone was all smiles and went above and beyond to make sure I walked out with what I needed. Doesn’t hurt that they have snacks and coffee while you’re waiting. I’m visiting family from out of town and needed to get some clip ins for a party and not only did I get the clip ins but a woman here cut and styled them so I literally just had to clip them in and go. I recommend going in and taking a look around! You won’t regret it.

First time buying a wig and I LOVE IT! Rosie helped me step by step and made the experience fun, not stressful and enjoyable. I was debating on cutting my real hair super short and instead I bought a fabulous short wig to play with.

The customer service of these ladies is outstanding, I will never discredit them on that. As for the quality and selection of the human hair wigs, I cant say the same. The selection is not much and not updated frequently. Quite a few are ones that are not the best quality, so dont expect them to last long at all. A few are better quality, so its truly a huge gamble and not really worth the try. I will resort to buying my own high quality hair and making my own wigs. Sorry ladies ☹️

Where do I start. I went to this hair shop because no one else was open on a holiday. I went in the sales person was amazing it was an Asian guy he was so friendly and so helpful and so very patient. I purchased hair against my better judgment but I was in a situation where I need it here immediately as I am at Texas hair stylist and order my hair online and had run sold out. The cost of the hair in the store is not worth what you get I would never purchase here here again the hair I received I paid over $200 and it tangled a week in it was terrible. It was dry and lifeless after the first wash too much to spend for hair that does not work mind you it was their least expensive hair which was still over $200. I would not purchase based on my experience with this hair any hair from at all. The hair vendor I use will last you repeated installs for over a year with the most amazing body and sheen this hair does not do it if the least expensive hair cost this much and did not deliver there is no way I would spend more on their most expensive hair I would dodge this place there’s several places up and down Westheimer that have very good hair for half the price go there. Even beauty supply store hair would be better than the hair I bought from the shop . Just my opinion and I work with hair professionally.

The hair pieces looked so real and the wig people did such a good job matching the hair piece to his actual hair color. They even cut it so that it would blend into his hair. Amazing service and a really nice store.

Two months ago I caught their Christmas in July sale where I purchased two bundles and got one free. I got the Brazilian deep curl in two 20 and one 16 since the were out of 18. The hair was gorgeous.. Smelt awesome. Was so soft and silky. I co washed the hair before my install and there was a descent amount of shedding. Nothing to worry about. But as the week went by the shedding got worse and worse. I recommend it for gently used clip ins and NOT a full install.

If I could give them no stars, that would be more than they deserve. I am a patron of another business in the same shopping strip. I went into this store today to look at some makeup. No one came to assist me, but I asked if I could look at the makeup and they said yes. While I was looking, I was accosted by a man who asked me if I had put some makeup in my purse. I was downright outraged! In all my life, I have never been accused of stealing! I told him that I hadnt put anything in my purse other than my keys. He told me that he saw me on the surveillance cameras, and asked me to open my purse so he could look inside. I told him no, and he told me that if I didnt let him look in my purse he was going to call the police! I told him to go ahead and call them and I would wait on them to show up before I dared to open my purse for him. It was unbelievable! I waited a while, but the police didnt show up. The man came and asked me to step to the back of the store. When I went back there, he apologized profusely saying that there was no excuse for his behavior. He said that one of the clerks in the store told him that she saw me put a $6.99 eyeliner in my $1400 Gucci purse. He admitted that he saw nothing on any surveillance cameras and he never contacted the police. But as a Black woman, this type of injustice cannot be tolerated. He asked me how he could remedy this, and I told him there was nothing he could do. I asked the clerks in the store if that was how they treat all of their customers, and only one of them said no. The other one sat there looking stupid, so Im sure that she was the one who accused me of stealing. This whole ordeal has incited me to make this review online for all the world to see. Whats funny is that when I looked at the other reviews, I found that they dont treat all of their customers like they treated me. But that is how they treat their Black customers! I hope that anyone affected by this review will be cautious when entering this store.

I went in to Mari Ari Hair because my hair stylist recommended I go there for hair bundles. I have an ombre so matching something to my hair is very difficult for me. When I walked in, it felt very luxurious and clean not overwhelming. The associate who helped me was really kind and she matched me immediately to like 3 different sets! I was excited because I thought it would be a lot harder. She didnt have 2 of the same sets so what she recommended is I blend 2 different sets. they were very similar but had different shades of blonde like my hair since the ombre carries a variety of colors.She offered me a 15% discount for being a first time customer. Although pricey at about $250 (regular price) each, the hair feels amaziiiiiiiiing and being an extension fan, I can tell theyre pretty high quality and real human hair.I would shop here again!

Its been almost 3 years Since my make up artist recommend Mari Ari for my wedding hair extensions and I think Im addicted lol. I change my hair color often so I sometimes have to get new ones. I usually look for Ivonne or Rimmy because theyve been there a long time and can usually match my color right away, even though the other girls seem pretty nice as well. They always have great music playing and a great environment. I even met a Texans cheerleader there once and she was super cool.

Everyone greeted me and was very nice. I talked to one girl and she wasnt too knowledable so she assist me to somebody else. The person helping me was very nice and she knew her hair and showed me different types of hair. I was looking at keratin fusion hair and when she told me the price , I was disappointed. The hair is $100 per bundle. They always have promotions buy one get one have half but Thats alot to ask for. Espically when im trying to buy 5 bundles. I know the brand might be known in houston but its not as popular as bellami (they are known world wide) or other brands which charge the same thing and this brand isnt known like that and there hair isnt the best quality. The hair is soft and will last, I will give them that but over priced.
