We boarded our pup for the first time ever here, we were going on vacation but we were leaving and arriving too early/too late to keep him with us so until right before we left. So we had to drop him off a day early and pick him up a day after we got back. The people there were so friendly and so nice, He really liked the lady that took him to his room. We could see him on the camera during the times they were on and he was always happy, napping or looking for someone to give him pets or treats. He really loves attention and they gave him plenty. Will definitely be coming here again if we need to board our fur baby! Thank you!

The prices are not what they say online. They charge you extra for everything. They charge extra for having to comb the dog hair before washing! Also, they left a cotton ball on my dog ear which wind up getting really infected!

I’ve been taking my poodle there for almost a year and I took him there about three days ago and it took two hours for them to shave my poodle almost bald and still have it look patchy as hell like they ran out of time and wanted to close. My poor poodle had no more fluffy ears and his nose is shaved all the way down. I could’ve done a better job my dam self if I wanted to just shave him. I will never return to this place ever again.

I love this place they treated our dog 🐕 Sky very well. I was running late on a Sunday to pick her up. He allowed me to pick her up after closing. He could have easily charged me an extra day. NICE GUY

I brought my three dogs here for a last minute boarding solution because my normal facility was full. I have never had my dogs come back from boarding so content and relaxed as if me coming to pick them up wasnt the best part of their day. Im 100% changing my 1st choice boarding facility to this location for my all future trips.

We had never heard of this place til we received a fly from Pet City down the street. The were polite and kind, we knew Spot was in good care.

IF YOU HAVE A PITBULL DONT GO, THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT HIM/HER. I’m so disappointed that this place don’t accept our 10 month old pit bull, which all he does is play and wants attention. He is not aggressive in any way and all he wants to do is play. My wife and I work long hours and we hate to see him by himself in a cage. When my wife called to see if we can bring him there, they basically said no. They said that if we do take him they would put him in a cage and walk him two times a day. Keep in mind that he will not play with other dogs or be able to run around (which he loves to do.) This is wrong and I hope they fix this. Just because he’s not neutered doesn’t mean for y’all not to accept him shame on y’all.

Everytime I call on the weekends nobody answers the phone it’s ridiculous! And then when I do get an appointment it gets canceled!! Terrible establishment

This place is ok for the most part. What they dont tell you is even though people will be there over holidays, you arent allowed to pick your dog up and, there for, you are forced to pay for an extra entire day.

We had to evacuate for Hurricane Laura and were displaced for about 3 weeks. They took in our 2 dogs very quickly and were super nice and helpful. Facility was great and staff was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

I went to take a tour there recently and as soon as I stepped back there it was so hot!! I didn’t even want to take my dog there anymore! I feel bad for the dogs and the employees, that is completely unacceptable.

Horrible customer service. They had to reschedule my chows BATH appointment 2 different times and even offer 50% to setup a 3rd time and still called me to reschedule yet again. Smh. Nice facility but apparently nobody works there.

I’ve had my maltipoo groomed here for almost a year and every time has been a good experience until today. I dropped him off and the girl who was receiving animals was rude, answering phone calls to book appointments while I was waiting for almost 20 minutes and several times going to the back and screaming at the dogs to shut up so loudly that I could hear her through the door. One of the times she came back and made a joke about how she was going to have to “beat some dogs today”. I was hesitant to leave my dog there after that but since I’ve had no other bad experiences there, I dropped him off. I just picked him up and the haircut he got is NOTHING like what I asked for. I called to let the manager know everything that happened and his response was “well...i can give you a $10 credit”. Don’t take your animal here.The owners have responded with a false statement. I did not say my dog looked adorable. I said he looked HORRIBLE when I picked him up. I’m assuming the person who told you I said that is the same person who said she’d have to beat some dogs. I also stated that I don’t care about a price increase, but I should at least get what I asked for. The manager’s response was that “all the groomers cut differently” meaning, I can’t expect consistency when I bring my dog here.

They are the greatest!... They are not breed restricted... Behavior only which is awesome! In most facilities, my dogs arent allowed to be in daycare because of breed even though their temperaments are friendly. Here, they can play and make friends! Been here playing for abt a year now!💜💜💜💜 So grateful!!

Im very disappointed in my FIRST experience. I chose this place because of the reviews. But they are misleading. First I was misinformed to think that both my small dogs could stay in one room at the rate of the room and not per dog. This is not specific on their website. Then when I picked up my dogs on the day after Thanksgiving they both smelled very strong of urine. My older dog who was blind which I specified was special needs, her paws were soaked in urine. The rep explained that most of the dogs had gone to the bathroom in their kennels overnight. I have boarded my dogs before at other facilities and they may come out smelling like dogs but they have never come out smelling like urine or covered in it. This is a sanitary issue! And I question whether they even let them out enough times to prevent this. As I observed on the cams they were very attentive during play time to the big dogs but not so much to the little ones. Either they are understaffed or just didnt provide the attentive services I paid for! The representative apologized and took my dog back to clean off her paws. She explained that she used a dry shampoo which doesnt remove the urine it just covers up the smell. She offered a free dog shampoo service, but I dont think Im going to take my dogs back there ever again.

This place is amazing! I am so excited to have The Dog Stop in Houston. They have everything for my dogs - daycare, boarding, grooming and a great retail store. The facility is so nice and clean and the staff is incredible knowledgeable. My dog already LOVES this place. I’ll be going back very often. Thank you to the staff at The Dog Stop for opening such a wonderful place for dogs and their owners.

I bought my puppy at Pet City Houston then got a coupon here for pet services. We were nervous at first but you could tell your staff cared about the animals when they require up to date on shots. Plus we love to shop local and help small businesses.

They don’t have a trainer groomer by the looks of it my dog was completely wet and still shedding a lot never had a problem like this with another groomer. Also she did not cut my dogs nails.

Awesome experience and plan on returning in the future. Our dog had a blast and is completely worn out.

My dog loves this place!

I have a very high energy Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who normally would be at home during the day in a kennel while we are at work. We had a feeling that he was defiantly not getting the exercise that he needed through the morning and evening walks so we were looking for options. The Dog Stop has be our answer to so many of our needs for our high energy fur baby. After the first visit we knew that this was the place where we wanted our fur baby to be. The Dog Stop is so so so clean without the smell of dog. The play yards are kept so very clean and monitored by a staff member at all times. The dogs are never left in a play yard unattended. We have utilized The Dog Stops doggy day care and are so very pleased with the live streaming puppy cam, the access for the dogs to be inside and out side, the staff members attention to the dogs, and the extremely clean facility. The best part about this whole experience for our pup is that we do not have the guilt of him being in a kennel all day, he is having a blast playing all day, and he comes home completely exhausted. I have to admit that some behavior problems that we were experiencing due to his high energy have now disappeared. He truly is a happier puppy and we are truly happy parents with a very happy home. I highly recommend The Dog Stop!!

I took my Pomeranian to the Dog Stop for grooming. They did a very good job and they dont take all day to groom. My dog smelled very good when I arrived to pick him up. However, I dont know if I will continue taking my dog there because they dont open until 10am on Saturday, which is very late for a weekend.Their competitors opens up at 7am and 8:30 am.

Today was my fur baby’s first time here for his spa day! The owner was very sweet and kind. They got my Zeus in last minute and I appreciate that! He did an amazing job and my fur baby was as happy as he could be! I highly recommend this establishment and it’s so clean and smells great!

My dogs love going here; they drag me in the door every time we go. Tim and his staff are great! He beats every daycare on price, and food. I never worry about my dogs when I leave them here, and I love that you can peak in on them during the day on the pup cams.

Tim, Elizabeth, and the rest of the team are very welcoming to my dog. She visits daycamp multiple times a week and she is always so excited to go. I love that the facility is clean and conveniently located off the Hardy and 1960. Also, there are cameras in the playrooms, which is great for me to get my doggy-fix by going online and peeking in on my dog. Overall, great staff, great facility and great location.

They do a great job making sure my English Bulldog does not over heat. They are careful with her extra requirements. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I really trust them with my dog.

Decided to stop by and give this place a try. We were on the prowl to find a new permanent groomer that did a great job, convenient and not excessively expensive. The appointment process was pretty easy; I like the online appointment setting process. I got the full grooming service for my dog, bath, cut and style, buffing the nails, etc. They also have a variety of dog products such as food, treats, etc. So its really a one stop shop. The staff were friendly and professional as well- will be returning for my doggies birthday cut. :D

Love The Dog Stop! I’ve taken my Dobie for boarding from overnight up to 5 days when we went on vacation and they treat my baby like a princess! She’s very hyper and gets high anxiety but they’ve been able to handle my baby just perfectly! Love that they keep me informed always. I also take her frequently for playtime a few hours and definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Outstanding service, attitude, price, location, products, employees, etc. I could go on forever. My pooch cried for 8 hours straight at a well-known doggie daycare, but when I park the car at the Dog Stop, he jumps out, ready for the day. Tim and everyone there keep up the great work!!!!

Took a tour of this facility because it was new to my area. It was extremely hot in back! The dogs boarding were panting heavily in their enclosures. Overall it looked cleaned but, the man who was showing me around seemed very annoyed and honestly I didn’t trust him. Sorry Dog Stop I would have loved to bring my furry friend but, she’s a pug and I’m afraid she would have a heat stroke. If your already using this facility I would advise you ask what they keep their a/c temperature at or come check on your pooches during the hottest part of the day.To The Dog Stops response - honestly 79 is still to hott! Maybe you should consider knocking the temperature down to at least 76 all day. You also mentioned using pools, ice, etc. but, honestly I’ve watched your cameras. Never once in the last few weeks have I seen pools or ice buckets. There is also little to no interactions with the dogs. Ever single individual I’ve seen is always sitting down looking extremely bored. So, no It doesn’t sound like your guest are top priority. Maybe get your staff on their feet and motivated. Also, actually use your ac. Right now everything you just responded back to me has been a lie and honestly we’d never use your services.

Took my two pups today to get their haircut and they came out amazing!! My Pomeranian got a teddy bear cut and it came out great! And I had my labbed trimmed down. My fur babies came out super excited after their grooming. The staff is friendly and helpful. Glad I found a new grooming location for my babies.

I called today to ask a few questions about day boarding. The person I spoke with really didn’t care to help with any of my questions because my dog is a American Pitbull who is 10 months apparently he Can’t play with any other dog because he has to be under 6 months and he’s a PITBULL ,so then I asked well where is he going to be and she said in a cage they walk him once or twice but he would be majority in a cage. Don’t recommend this place if you have a Pitbull!

Michelle (assistant manager) was very nice and informative on everything from grooming to dog food. My daughter and I received a tour of the facility and met the owner. Very nice and clean. I highly recommend The Dog Spot.

After picking my baby up she seemed to be terrified. She would stay under the bed (which she never did before) it took her several days to regroup. I then watched the web cam they offer and saw another dogs experience and knew that may have been how my baby was acclimated to the other dogs. I really wanted to get her socialized but dont think they have mastered that task. The place was clean smelted fresh, but when I called checking on her I was told she was doing good by the girl answering the phone. She even put me on hold while she supposedly checked. When I picked her up it was a different story, the guy said she was scared and nervous around the other dogs.

My pup loves when she goes to play with her friends here for daycare.

This place it’s shore of staff or they don’t like to deal with to many dogs at the time so the “Put my dog in Time out “ for three consecutive days. I check the cámaras very often and didn’t see my dog I call them and their answers was we just put him in time out. This was over and over very upsetting situation and not been available to pick him up right away.

My dog Sugar loves to go there...the doggie day care is very clean, the staff is very nice & knowledgeable, they take very good care of her, they have holiday/B-day celebrations for them...its AWESOME!!

Elizabeths super friendly and knowledgeable. Great customer service! Brought in my older female lab-mix for a shampoo, nail trim; they had her done and smelling great in no time. Will DEFINITELY be bringing her back! . . . The last time my husband took Amberlooney to petco...the clerk asked him how much he wanted to tip the groomer...?! (The prob I have with that is...my dog is an older lab-mix, not some fru fru lap dog with bows and painted toenails. Cmon)

Our dog is here every Wednesday and she loves it! Bonus points because our cats appreciate the day off as well.
