Dr Obrien I think is a good doctor. But she/ Sunset Clinic has the very worst staff I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have called 5 times to get pre authorization for a prescription or set of prescriptions and even then most of the time they still will not call it in. I do not know if her staff is simply lazy, overloaded, or unqualified. Surely Dr Obrien knows what screw ups her staff is? And maybe is trapped or too busy to do anything about it? I personally do not go into the doctor very frequently but my wife and daughters have prescriptions coming out of their ears it seems like 5 apiece. And if they are not preauthorized, they cost hundreds of dollars more. And they need pre-authorizations all the time. Like every 3 months it seems? So you can imagine this is a never ending process.And to make it even worse this is a 4 way process - CVS must get insurance information from cigna, cigna must get pre-authorization from the doctor. I never know or actually SEE anything that these people say they are going to do but I AM able to actually talk with Cigna and CVS and unless these people are LIEING then the doctors office is the hold up. And its not like even I can get a form and take it to the doctor and send it to cigna. No I CANNOT see or actually DO ANYTHING which is VERY, VERY Frustrating.If you do not take prescriptions Dr Obrien and Sunset Clinic in Houston, Texas might be fine for you but heaven help you if you need routine, complicated prescriptions that heaven help you must not be generic (cant tell you how many times the whole process has to be re-done because someone did not write as proscribed or name brand etc only).

Amazing physician, very knowledgeable and very great bedside manners. Genuinely cares for her patients and makes the time to talk to you!

Great doctor and good support staff. Dr. OBrien is one of the few physicians that will go above and beyond to help her patients. She makes herself available to help with routine and non-standard issues. In addition, shes a good internist who I highly recommend!

Dr. OBrien has been my doctor for a very long time. She has always been on point with all my medical needs and questions. I trust her with any and all of my medical issues and concerns. She is a great listener and is always calm and communicates very well with so much sincerity and care. I have been so blessed to find such a wonderful doctor that I can trust and who is very thorough with all my medical needs. This past year she has helped me tremendously with my follow up appointments after my heart surgery. I dont know what I would have done without her!

I have been blessed to see Dr. Kelly OBrien for 6 years. She is very thorough, conscientious, excellent listener, exceptional communication skills, calm, dependable and smart. Her ability to diagnose illnesses is on point. The medical facility has state of the art medical equipment that enables immediate results within minutes when necessary. You can count on Dr. OBrien and I highly recommend her.

Dr. OBrien is an anomaly. Listens, thinks, waits to diagnose and not adverse to alternative solutions. Highly Recommend
