Told them exactly what I needed and they did not want to provide it. I gave him all the Documents he asked for , He did not read them. Im sooo Upset , Its SOooo much more but I HAVE SEVERE ADHD and WAS LEFT UNTREATED.Ultimately what I needed was Turned down by a LADY I NEVER MET or SPOKE TO , like I said third party , this is how they do things.Terrible.This is why people hurt themselves or others, Mental health is not taken seriously. . .Dont not Come here I saved your time.Guess I have to keep going till I get the care I need

Our son wants someone to talk to so we had our pediatrician refer us to someone. This group wants to do a psychology evaluation before seeing him which costs over $700 with our insurance. And we have decent insurance. No wonder people arent getting the help they need when places arent allowing kids to talk to someone before placing high cost tests before hand. I get capitalisms and all that. Also the people that confirm the appointments have you on speaker phone and you hear all their back ground noise and its annoying. If youre charging that much for evaluations, you can afford noise canceling headphones for your phone staff.

I dont like the fact that its so hard to reach anyone on the phone. Otherwise its good. The worker are courteous and friendly once your get through on the phone.

Current counselor and psychiatric nurse practitioner are good (only reason this rating is 3 stars and not lower); not all are up to professional and ethical standards. Scheduling is difficult and frustrating and cannot keep a regular, consistent schedule with this counseling group. Also watch appointment times; sometimes cut short or start late yet you and your insurance will be billed for the full appointment. During the pandemic, this was the only place available with our insurance who didnt have a 6-12 month waiting list. Virtual appointments helped as it is too far away for in-person appointments. They can and need to do better in customer service and policies.6/06/21 UpdateThe owner invited me to call and discuss issues. However, the receptionist informed me she doesnt have the authority to connect me to or take messages for the executive director of the agency. So tell me....how are issues resolved when one cannot contact the person in charge and those in supervisory positions do not return phone messages? What is most concerning is that there is a medication issue and NO ONE will return repeated phone messages. Lost a couple more stars.10/05/21 UpdateSwitching psychiatric practitioner nurses around. It is readily apparent the file is not read prior to the appointment. Late for online appointments. Even was told they double book appointments and then the staff are not able to keep appointment times. It is obvious this agency is all about making money rather than actually serving and caring for clients. Continued frustration. Trying to locate another provider but area mental health services are backlogged.

Always counseling. Set appointments without letting me know. Change appointments without talking to me. Are rude. Seldom answer phones. Id never recommend them. I havent left because after 3 other counselors, I finally have one I really like so Im sticking it out!

I have been going to Kinghaven for some months now. They are always so helpful and so polite. I’ve had two different doctors. My first one was amazing and really gets down to the point to find out exactly what tracks we need to go on in order to find out the best medicine that works for me. My new doctor is also amazing as well. Always do cheery and her smile makes me feel better throughout my day. I have been in therapy and counseling since I was 13. But by far, this is the best facility with the best team or Doctors and Administrators. Very pleased every time!!!!!!

This is a terrible mental health facility. Patients are not treated with decency or respect. Please if you must use this place, never ever accept an appointment from Dr. Rachel Tootle. She was rude, highly disrespectful, and unprofessional. She hung up our Zoom meeting in my face while I was still talking. Horrible place. I wish I could leave 0 stars.

It was strange in the beginning but wasnt horrible. But they either dont have enough employees, communication between them or something. I was suppose to have an appointment today at 10:15am. They called yesterday about filling out the consent file and emailing it back. Which I did yesterday before 5. Then they call me at 11 to ask if I still wanted to have my appointment. Which I FOR SURE did because I took my last dose last night. I said yes and she asked about my consent forms. I told her I emailed it already. She put me on hold for a long time while she was trying to get in touch with whoever. Finally she came back and told me she would call me back because whoever wasnt answering. Well that was at 11 and no word yet. I tried to call but had to leave a message. I REALLY need my medicine, like today!

This place is horrible !!! First of all I made an appointment for my two year old son but they have me as the patient and even approved my insurance which is my sons insurance “ Texas Children’s” like what ? How did nobody catch that ? & then after waiting 30 minutes to go to the back they finally call us and the front lady desk walked me to the evaluation staff member and the first thing he whispered was “ did the insurance go through” like what ? & then he ask some questions about my son and then go to his supervisor… he comes back and walks us to his supervisor she then tells us we’re going to have to reschedule because the lady who specializes in children isn’t there. So we walk to the front to the reschedule and then lady at the front says we can’t even reschedule because the lady who does that isn’t there either ???? Like what ??? We drove 45 mins there and back for nothing !

For virtual and in person appointments to be scheduled, there’s a month of waiting. There is miscommunication between the agency scheduling the appointments and the actual clinic. The Doctors are great, very experienced and concerned for the patients. However, the wait once you’re at the clinic can be a bit much.

Don’t bother to send an automated message about the reviews given about this trashy place keep your automated reply because your employees have 0 professional skills. Just by the looks of your office speaks volumes. Don’t go to this pave itself horrible

This place is absolutely awful. For each appointment you have to wait 30-45 minutes after your scheduled appointment, which would be okay if they let you know beforehand but they do not do that. They do not answer calls or emails and will not give your insurance the proper documents or receipts. Even the zoom calls you will have to wait. Do not come here especially if you need help because they will make it worse.

The staff could be more attentive. They seem to wanna rush you through to get to the next step. The questions that they ask were good , and helped explain my feelings.

I was recommended to this establishment and so far they have been awesome with my daughter. Shes been open with her therapist, and the therapist has put my mind at ease with the help she is receiving.

The problem I have encountered twice now is the department who is in charge of ordering my prescriptions.I have had to call a few times to get my prescriptions refilled with only 1 tablet left for me to take.Its very important that people not skip or not have a dose as prescribed.Thank-you very much to Wilma Davis for all of her help and ideas.Regards,Lori Nevers

I like how efficient the appointments are, however it is annoying that I have to have a appointment every month that is less than five minutes with a 40$ copay each time. I understand that they have to check up on how i’m doing on the medication but it is just annoying to have to pay that much each month just to get the medication refilled

Zero stars, if that were an option. They will constantly change your in person confirmed appointment to telehealth/zoom and tell you the day of. Oh and the BEST part, they will totally blow off your teleheath/zoom appt. They have apparently no concern for their patients, they called to confirm our teleheath zoom for today at 11am, stated they would call closer to his appt and send the email, they never called I called and guess what they were closed at 3, his appt was at 215. Nobody called to advise, nobody called to reschedule. That will be my priority, not theirs. At this point I am fed up, Ive filed a complaint with our insurance company in Hopes they drop this facility, I would hope our insurance company at least cares about their patients. Im also filing a complaint with texas Health and Human Services, medical boards and anybody else who wants to hear this story. I only took my child here as it was the ONLY option under his insurance umbrella that was taking in person (which needed to be established given his age). Now Im in the process of changing insurance plans since he needs speciality care and this facility needs to apparently redo their entire office, doctors included. If you think of bringing your child here, make sure they can at least understand the doctors they are speaking with, if you need an American with no heavy accent so your child comprehends what theyre saying make sure you request that. Well just like so many now of days these doctors dont actually care about you either. If you do something they dont like you get treated bad and they just leave you hanging. They dont want to try and help.

If I could give less than half a star I would!!! The office is staff are trash liars they delayed and delayed, and passed the buck around the office to charge more for services. Gas light patients and family that call for assistance or information. Get rude with you and then defensive when you don’t take their nonsense.

Kinghaven has great counselors and doctors but Kinghaven is totally unorganized. I get stressed just dialing their number. The people they have hired to give you therapy are great but you need therapy just to deal with their disorganization snd over scheduling people. You never know when your appointments are because they change them and don’t contact you. They cancel your appointments and don’t contact you. It’s a hot mess. If my therapist wasn’t so good I wouldn’t deal with Kinghaven geez. I get stressed just seeing the name Kinghaven!

So far its been a very helpful experience for my newly teenage daughter. Very attentive and caring personnel. Looking forward to continue working on our goals.

I would give less that one star if possible!! The initial virtual appt that was scheduled no one called or emailed at the appt time and then no one let me know why- I was also not informed that the appt would be with someone other than the psychiatrist. Then we got a second appointment and it was with Lilian Elem (Nurse Practitioner) and it was terrible! She was very distracted and uninterested from the start of the zoom appt. (the appt happened 1.5 hours late) My daughter was very upset by the end of the visit. Her anxiety was higher and she was in tears after talking with the NP. She felt that the NP could care less about her and her feelings. I DO NOT recommend this practitioner for any teen!! Then, the information emailed to us following the appt had information for the Houston area and we live in the DFW area. We will DEFINITELY be going to a different practice!!!

King Haven did not take long contacting me back and also the two persons I spoke to were very nice and helpful. I cant wait to see whats in store for my foster son.

Normally, I would prefer to have an in-person appointment, but totally understand we had to connect vertically due to COVID. The connection wasnt great, but weve all been there! Even so, the online doctor/psychiatrist/NP/psychologist was really helpful and even recommended their mental health services like counseling - we all need right now! I got the advice I needed.

Appointments get scheduled but the day of the appointment the doctor is not available. When called to confirm the appointment, we were never put on the schedule. Happened several times. Very upsetting!!!

My counselor was very understanding, she listened to me, with compassion.

I had a appointment here for follow up care for my anxiety medication that I was currently taking and started by my pcp. My pcp referred first to a cash only psychiatrist and I wanted to use my insurance so I googled and found this establishment. I am on a certain medication and instead of tapering me off of it they knew I would run out. They may do medication management but not for continuance of the specific drug I was taking that I cant just abruptly stop taking.. No other feedback or help was given as to where else I could go other than have a good day. I do not recommend this place for mental health. Very unprofessional and manager never called to address my concern.

This is specific to the sugar land location but I am posting this review here since this location comes up when you Google the Kinghaven Counseling group.Honestly wish I had never brought my child here. She has problems with anxiety and depression after losing several family members this year and distancing learning for the last year, and she only just turned 9 last week. The psychiatrist here seemed rushed, she didnt get to us until 30 minutes past our appointment time so maybe she was behind, and she had no patience to wait for my child to put her thoughts into words. Or maybe thats just the way she is, we could hear her loudly speaking to a virtual client all the way from the waiting room. I didnt even get told her name, she didnt introduce herself and the receptionist just referred to her as the doctor. During the interview, she asked my daughter if she felt empty inside and she told the psychiatrist its the opposite, she gets too full of emotion and sad feelings and gets overwhelmed. Less than a couple minutes later the psychiatrist asked her if she ever cuts herself or hurts herself. I didnt think she did and I didnt think she even knew about self harm - SHES BARELY 9 - but I waited silently for her to answer because I wanted her to feel like she could answer for herself on the off chance she did have those feelings. The psychiatrist got fed up after a few moments of silence and started lecturing her, basically yelling, saying Do you know that some people cut themselves and burn themselves? They get so full of emotion and overwhelmed and they feel like they need to cut themselves or burn themselves to release that emotion, to get some relief, do you know that?? Do you know they feel like they need to release that feelings so they cut themselves or they burn themselves with a lighter, do you know?? So do you do it or not? And my daughter was stunned and said no she didnt and the psychiatrist said Okay good. Idk why you have to think about it, either you do or you dont. I am furious!! She DIDNT know about any of that!! Thanks lady, now she does and now I get to worry that the next time she has a panic attack shell remember that and consider hurting herself to release the emotions!! Absolutely ridiculous!! If you dont have patience to let a little kid formulate their thoughts and feelings into words, you shouldnt be working with children! We came to get help and instead of waiting for her to try to answer honestly and to the best of her ability, you just wanted her to quickly pop out the right answer quickly and move on and when she didnt do that you belittled her AND put these ideas in her head. I will be making a complaint with the main office on Monday and we will NOT be returning to see this specific doctor again. Idk her name but shes the one at the highway 6 location in Sugar Land with a very heavy African or Carribean accent.

My 1st ever visit that actually never happen. I paid what I thought was my copay. But my copay is $40, and I was charged $50, that discrepancy kept bothering me. So I inquired If there was a copay for Tele visits due to covid?The receptionist said maybe, maybe not but I would have to check with my insurance and they would reimburse me. I asked why was that not asked while my insurance was verified? So then I remembered that typically new patient appts dont require copay, So I inquired If this new patient appt actually requires a copay? The receptionist then said that I am paying for a psychiatric evaluation. I said I dont want that at this time, I only need someone to talk to at this time; she said it was required for all new patients. So I asked why wasnt this information told to me up front? And why wasnt I told that I would be paying for a psychiatric evaluation from the beginning? I could have made a decision then to keep searching for a different provider.Because of this fact I felt deceived and this interaction was not transparent and I was led to believe I was paying my copay.I told the young lady that I dont think this is an office I can work with.. Please refund my money.. She said yes she would.Then an hour later someone from billing called me to inquire about what happened and she too stated that I would be issued a refund.So far since June 17th 2021 no refund has been issued.I called my bank, they sent me a notice stating a verbal agreement for refund is not sufficient and that I would have to call and receive in writing that I would be issued a refund or try reach a resolution.I reasoned with myself, that I was told by two Kinghaven employees already and that my transaction would be refunded. At this point I knew my hard earned money is gone.I decided to write this review instead of asking for my money back a 3rd time.As a nurse and patient advocate, please check with your insurance to verify if a copay is required for all new patient appts. And also verify if copays are waived if you have a Tele- visit due to Covid.And If something doesnt feel right trust your gut! No matter how pushy personnel may be hold your ground and dont let them walk all over you.I have not even had an appointment with this office and this is how my interaction turned out.The people at this office are money hungry pirates and cannot be trusted. Fraudulent scammers who prey on unsuspecting patients.The only way i figured this out is because I work as a nurse for insurance company and help patients all the time and am trained to see fraud and report it.I will also make a report to my insurance because they took my money and no services were received. I rate this company -5.Not an ethical business at this office location, not sure if the deceit and fraudulent scams are at the other locations. Beware at your own risk. Rated NEGATIVE -1 stars.

It was an appt through zoom and I appreciate that, our apts elevators have been unfixed for a long while now and we live on the 3rd floor so I thank you for letting me have my appts that way, thank you... I like all of the personel that Ive spoken to, everyone is very professional and nice, very polite... thank you for your time...

Very Disappointed, had my appointment 2 WEEKS ago and still trying to get my prescription sent to my pharmacy. One excuse after another for someone always dropping the ball and not sending it out. even emailed the customer support team that responses to these reviews and STILL no help. Did not want to leave a review to avoid retaliation from this facility but i feel whats worse then them still not sending my medication it has already effected many other things Time, Money, Health etc. I am a very patient person but i hate getting lied to. I would consider looking elsewhere if you want quality care. Time after time they never fail to give me a reason to leave and this this is it.

The most incompetent place i have ever taken my son. they truly say how are you doing and while you are talking they are writing the prescription refill, then they say, we will see you in a month. and thats it. telemed the last three months has been even worse, today sit there waiting on them to join zoom for 20 minutes, then when you call they say someone will call you right back, good luck with that. today i called three times and each time they said we will get back to you, so at 5:20 i called again and they told me we are done seeing patients for today, so when i asked them what happened to my sons appointment, she said, oh, we have you marked as a no-show. and when you can get a refill, takes two days for the prescription to make it to the pharmacy which is literally at the end of the hallway.

I’m sick of Kinghaven. I’ve been coming here for about 3 months and majority of my appointments have been canceled without my knowing or made at closing time like today. I’ve contacted so many and have yet to hear back. I’m about ready to leave and find someone else. My mental health should be a priority yet it’s not treated as such.

I came in for an appointment in December 2020 and I’m still waiting to get testing done 2 months later. Every time I call I get a different answer on what’s going on. This place is extremely unorganized and unprofessional and I feel like they just took my money.

This place has the most unprofessional staff I have ever been to. I scheduled appointment 2 weeks ahead. I specifically told them that this will be paid by the Employee Assistance Program through my company not my insurance. They told me that they would call back on Tuesday to confirm it. I never got call back on Tuesday. I called them on Wednesday. Then they said that my appointment is confirmed and I would get link to zoom in my email. I did not get any email. Not even at the date and time of my actual appointment. I waited for 10 mins on my actual appointment date and time. Did not get any call or email. Then I called them back and they said I had some co-pay. I explained them that I had specifically mentioned that it was through my Employee Assistance Program through my company and I would not have to pay any co-pay. Then they transferred me to the billing department and the billing department did not know what I was talking about. Why did they say confirm my appointment if they did not have verified the payment stuff beforehand? I wasted more than 2 weeks. The customer service people also sound very unprofessional. I wish I could give 0 star to their service. Very unprofessional and poor communication. I wish I would have checked online reviews before I booked my appointment here.

This is place has turned around tremendously. The waiting time is within 15-20 minutes from check-in till the time one is seen. The staff members are compassionate, caring and helpful. I would recommend this counseling group.

I wish I could give zero stars.My son suffers from various psych disorders. This place is like a small piece of hell. Honestly, its like something from a horror movie or like maybe the 1920s or something where you wouldnt be surprised if they had a shock therapy room or something. The rooms are dirty and dark....even the walls look grimy and terrible. There are tonnnnns of people waiting and various scary waiting rooms. I LITERALLY cried and my husband and I took our son and left. That is how bad this place is. It should be shut down yesterday.One of the most scarring experiences of my life. Read the other complaints and you will see Im not the only one with similar complaints.

I have NO kind words for this place. Please DO NOT bring your child/children here to be seen, you will be sitting in the waiting room, abandoned room or even in the hallways. My last appointment day for my son was on a Saturday for 8am. Hours past and at 12:30pm, very pissed and hot I asked what number on the list my son was on to be seen. I was told that He has 7 ahead of him. What kind of crap is that?? its 12:30 and we still have 7 people ahead of us? We walked out after giving us an appointment 2 months later ( 10 weeks). The ONE AND ONLY DOCTOR ON STAFF only sees patients every Mondays and every other Saturdays, which means they overbooked and the staff just doesnt care. We was there just to pick up one prescription.....ONE!! This place needs to be shut down in a quickness. If you dont mind spending the ENTIRE day in a filthy, broken down facility then be prepare to bring a sleeping bag, blanket and pillows,a picnic basket and some form of entertainment because you will be there for hours. I found a new facility for my son to go to and we didnt have to wait long to be seen. IN AND OUT!!

This has got to be the worse place to take your child if you need medical care on the planet earth. Even with an appointment you can expect to wait 4 hours and sometimes even longer. The hallways are always very dark, the rooms are filthy, the bathrooms are locked the staff NEVER seems to really know whats going. The doctors never remember you nor do they care. One doctor may see 50-70 patients in a day. Its absolutely ridiculous! I just cant believe that the medical board or who ever they receive their licenses from knows that they operate like this, its got to be a crime.

Dark, gloomy building. Unprofessional receptionist. Medical Assistants who wear scrubs with UGG boots in the spring. Charged me $200 for a session. Billed me twice what insurance didnt cover when it was paid and documented by the bank already. Willing to prescribe controlled medications if you run out before your scheduled date with the actual psychiatrist. Just please, try elsewhere.

This place has really turned around. they have worked hard and gone the extra mile to make patients feel like they matter. absolutely no wait time, friendly staff - literally a complete transformation from where they were when I first started seeing dr. I do agree that its gloomy and ugly, for sure. I actually didnt have to wait long, but the worst part was the counselor. She just asked me why I was there and just as I mentioned my sons hyperactive nature she automatically prescribed aderoll. To make matters worse, his twin bother was with us and told me she could prescribe some for home too!!! WTH, is there no testing or evaluations for these meds? Anyway, I just left.

There new location is superb. They have made major strides.

Wow! Ay problem since the Dr. changes the hospital medication and removes medication that is necessary and the Dr. caused an overdose of medications, the therapist does not seem professional to call a patient with depression drama Queen and Anxiety is incredible but the worst was the diagnosis they gave me, the furthest thing from reality. They really are the worst that can exist. I explained to them what I wanted the report for and what they gave me nothing to do with the real situation of the patient. Wow they really are not trustworthy or truthful!

I am very grateful to my counselor and to the ladies who help me with the translation. All the staff are very friendly they make me feel like family, thank you very much.
