Her expertise and certification in play therapy is so important, unique in our community, and such a valuable resource for my patients. Plus, she takes insurance! Expertise and affordability...what a find! Her play therapy rooms are just incredible and the difference Ive seen her personally make in childrens lives is inspirational.

Julia helped my family so much and really helped us heal after some hard times. I’m so happy we had her on our team. She’s thorough and kind and my daughter is thriving back at school now. I had initially reached out to Julia’s Counseling in early July. My voicemail was returned within the next day or two. The girl who returned my call at that time was attentive and empathetic as I shared some painful details of what I am wanting to address in therapy. She was up front that there was a waiting list and it could be 6 weeks or so before I’d be able to get in. At that time I decided to call around, thinking I could get in sooner elsewhere. Last week I called and left a message, intending to have her add me to the waitlist. I did receive a call back about a week later from Julia- I assume she is the owner. She was short with me, seemed rushed and annoyed. I tried to let her know what I was looking for in a therapist- she cut me off and said there’s quite a waiting list, tried to sell me on virtual group therapy that had no relation to the issues I was seeking therapy for. Seemed to care more about weather I had health insurance or if I was going to self-pay.

Julia’s counseling was amazing with both my kids. Both Laurie and Curby were amazing. They helped my Kids through a lot in last few years.Thank you for helping our Family!

She even responded when I asked what the status was after a few weeks to assure me she was watching for slots for my son. I would NOT recommend this place at allI had great difficulty in communicating with the owner of this company regarding some issues that came up during counseling As a client I feel that it is important to create a relationship with the people you work with or supposed to learn to trustJulia C. The owner does not have the empathy and authenticity nor the respect for her clients and it shocks me to see this asan owner of a therapie Groupthat involves therapie for children to see such lack of responsibilityAlso the intake process of a minor for the parent should take an hour that is standard here they have me 10 minutes not enough time to establish rapportIf you care about your.child take them somewhere where they care about you!!The response of the owner has nothing to do with my reviewNo one had to go to the emergency roomBut I am glad I saw this response because it confirms how little she cares about her clients or how little responsibility she takes for her lack of response to phone calls regarding counseling issues and legal proceedings with under age children involved in counseling at this facilityThis is not a case of 911 this is a case of a client whose phone call is not returned in more than 48 hours ! Not acceptable for us !!

I am an LMSW who does play therapy with kiddos at this agency. Julia and the team provide the most supportive and encouraging environment for their clients. It’s truly a mission of JC to uphold the upmost respect for every single client and family member that steps into our office. Julia paves the highest road, and I have never seen anyone who truly invests so much thoughtfulness, care, and individualized treatment into every single client or prospective client. What clients may see is the hour of weekly sessions, but Julia and the rest of the team are all committed to working, communicating, and bringing the latest evidence-based practices into each session. Communication is terrible with the owner. I’d be weary if thinking about therapy with her. Condescending and rude.
