I worked closely with Emily over the course of two years. We actually worked side by side in the same clinic for one year, I as a pelvic floor rehabilitation specialist and she as a psychotherapist, as part of a multidisciplinary team that treated patients with pelvic and sexual pain. We shared some particularly challenging cases during that time. Many of our patients had a history of significant trauma or abuse that manifested itself physically as well as emotionally. It is my firm belief that many of our patients would not have recovered if not for Emilys integral role in their treatment.
