Marisha is amazing!!! She has been my “home girl” for like two years. I call her that because I can share everything with her and she really puts things in perspective for me. I give her much credit for preparing me to meet my husband. She challenged me to be introspective and self aware, which made a huge difference in how my approached and my relationship with my husband. She is honest and looking for your best outcome. Check her out if you need a Homegirl too lol.

Where can I start? Marisha is amazing!! I was very nervous when I first started counseling, so nervous that as I waited in the waiting room talking to my friend, I almost left. SO GLAD I DID NOT LEAVE. Marisha has been my counselor since 2017 and we have went through so many stages together. Because I had deep trust, abandonment and betrayal issues coming from the mental health system, it took a while to gain trust in her but I am so glad I did.!And that is not to take away from her rapport which makes you feel comfortable immediately, its like talking to a friend. She has challenged me and held me accountable which has caused so much growth in my life. However she is patient and kind and very supportive and will give you different alternatives of your choices to really help you consider, reflect and prepare for big decisions and then will walk along with you through the path you choose. She is not an enabler, but fully believes in her clients and supports clients right to self-determination. She is funny, sweet and truly feels like a friend I can talk to. I have learned to trust not only her but her depth of knowledge and skillset as well. What can I say? Good counseling from an amazing counselor such as Marisha works well! Due to the effort she has put in as a counselor and the work my husband and I have invested in our marriage, our marriage has been totally transformed. My husband and I went from two people who saw each other subconsciously as enemies to becoming best friends. Not only has Marisha held me accountable but she has held my husband accountable as well. Due to that, along with her support and encouragement and skill set my marriage is 100 percent different.Be prepared to put in work and really look at yourself and be ready for deep reflection of yourself and actions if you want change in your life. If you are really looking for support and to change something in your life and/or the ability to have skills to support you through some of lifes challenges, I recommend Marisha. She has been nothing short of a blessing in my personal journey in individual therapy and in the journey with my husband in couples counseling. We are now soon welcoming our first child! Thank you for being you Marisha, honest kind, supportive and a true partner in the process of healing.-R

I have been seeing Marisha for about a year for supervision, and her guidance and expertise have been INVALUABLE!!! Marisha has a gift for being extremely relatable and knowledgeable, which is exactly what i was seeking to grow my own skill set. The Cope Clinic is a center i would suggest to anyone seeking assistance. The core values and standards of service alone, flourish personal growth. When youre ready to grow, The Cope Clinic is definitely the place try.

I was a patient of Marisha Copeland regularly from February 2012 until April 2018, starting while I was still a minor. During this time, I continued to decline in my emotional and social health. I became severely depressed. I believe that I was deeply hurt in my sessions with Marisha. What I understood from sessions with became incredibly unhealthy and her misdiagnoses were very hurtful to me. I also believe her lack of referral out to someone else when I continued to rapidly decline in my mental health caused a prolonged experiencing of pain for me. I could not come to terms with this until after having distance from her, and it is still difficult for me to discuss and process. Despite my mother attempting to get me to find new help away from Marisha, I continued going to her because I thought she was helping. I now spend copious amounts of time in therapy trying to reclaim my ability to work with mental health professionals, on top of trying to work on coping with the other parts of my life. I really feel upset, betrayed, and overwhelmed with my experiences with Marisha.

It is unfortunate our relationship had to end over a billing error. Make sure you know how to read your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) because she does not. It is clear to us she tried to take advantage of our vulnerability. She looks great on paper, but remember this is a business and money comes first. Red flags - she was 10 minutes late to our first appointment, no heads up. When you arrive at her office, you wont know where you are because there are no signs and not a soul in sight. You just wait and hope you are at the right place. She kept bringing up payment during our sessions even though we confirmed from the get-go that we are covered and stated our co-pay. She says you can contact her anytime - not true. She does not answer or respond to phone calls. Email is your only option. All of this to say, it took a very long time for us to take the first step into counseling. It is a scary thing for many, as most new experiences are. We trusted Ms. Copeland and she breached that trust in a few ways. Her lack of professionalism and ethics has been discouraging and has shaken our faith in counseling. Hopefully her future patients will have a better experience than we did.

I will say at first I was against going to my appointment, but i will say after session 1 I felt way better about the whole situation. Ms. Copeland makes it so easy to talk to her. Definitely a life changing appointment each session.

We have been meeting with Marisha for the past few months and its been wonderful!. My wife and I have meet with 3 other couples counselors over the years that have given us bogus advice and not helped us to really look inside to find the root of our dissatisfaction. Marisha focuses on learned behavioral modification to help tackle the changes that we all seek in ourselves for the benefit of our lives and our loved ones, and I can say that she is the only therapist that has really helped me in all these years of trying.
