Kharisma is by far the best salon in The Galleria area. It is so warm and inviting and everyone there is so sweet. Ira did my highlights and did an amazing job. I was so pleased. She is very experienced and a true professional. Don’t miss out on this one.

The experience could not have been better! We were in town for a wedding and treated myself to a blow out and style. Absolutely loved the stylist. She was professional but very personable. Even text me after as a follow up to a conversation we had and she wanted to share the contact information. The salon was very clean and had a nice buzz of activity with regular clients. I just want to let you know that’s a very rude term to refer to someone with curly hair. Especially African Americans. I wanted to say something over the phone but was too irritated and kinda shocked. I mean no disrespect but it’s really unprofessional to say that. I’m leaving 5 stars because I’m not bitter. I just want this to be known to you guys. >.< we live in Houston. The most diverse city in the nation. If you’re in a hair salon throwing around the word nappy to refer to really curly hair, there’s a problem and your curly head customers aren’t going to feel too happy about it. I try not to be overly sensitive , so I hope you don’t think I’m one of those. I just want you to be informed. Why would I want to pay 50 dollars for a 15 minute consultation when someone is talking like that? It turns me off. All the best.

Ashley has been cutting and coloring my hair for 16 years. She does a wonderful job with curly hair. My hair has always been in excellent condition before and after a cut and color. The salon is lovely. The ladies that wash hair are polite and friendly and they work in a good scalp massage. Kharisma is super clean: squeaky clean windows, sparkling floors and very nice bathrooms. All of the staff is friendly and professional. Debbie, the owner, runs a great salon that is always customer centric!

I literally say to Ashley when I sit in the chair for a cut and color, Your call. What do you think we should do. The staff is friendly and professional. If you want a first class salon Kharisma is the salon. Debbie, the owner, is one of the best in management and customer relationships. I have been with Debbie for so many years and have followed her to her own salon. She runs a very classy salon.

This location i am being visiting since 7 year almost . I have just being with 2 hair technician melina and carlaThe owner debbie is being rude to me since i for the first time complain her about my treatment of satisfaction in Brazilian blowout , i called salon on frontdesk for 3 times until today after a treatment done , one after a week and 2 mid of week and 3 time today , the lady at reception was super rude stating we dont have time to discuss about anything beside appointment and she din even listen anything wht was my concerns and i called them to scedule my appointment for haircolor and see we can discuss why my hair din response a better results out of Brazilian blowout treatment and she was behaving like she dont want to listen and she was complaint me about calling her personal technician and personal technician Carla who provided a number to call them directly to set up appointment and set a appointment personally so we shouldnt always call them directly instead of calling reception and she itself comlain m calling texting bothering at 11 than i have proofs text and call when Wht time i called and wht i text regarding Carla for appointments of if sometime they says its busy and dont help actually . I called receiption this time to set up sppointmemt the lady Debbie the owner just rejected me saying we not able to assist you and will give your money back .. i am old client and havent behave or call to asked money back tried to creat a solution for treatment and conevrns about my hair and discuss wht to do futher and diring this can i do hair color in my hair or not .. very unprofessionalism and called again me back after hanging saying i cant refund money back since its being over month where the brazilian. Stays in hair for 4 to 6 months and if treatment is not satisfied they supposed tomlook after client hair and see why that happen instead they blaming behaving ride and unprofessional talks and weired behaviour attitude behaviour with client gives her out of this salon .. i have my 3 people going from my family to that salon i would recommend then and as well recommend. Not having old to spend this much money if u not serve well and treated well by this people .. i trusted them for years so i want say it bad salon but seems as they going up out in business they behave weird,Rude with their older clients and their concerns are neglected with their rudeness . I am completely disappointed with giving business to this people and disgusting attitude behavior without listening wht customer or client is actually asking for i dont recommend .

I am amazed at the level of service at Kharisma! I have naturally curly hair and when I called I spoke to the owner who spent a good time on the phone with me to ask me about my hair, my expectations, costs, and was given the choice of three stylists to pick from who could help me with a curly cut.I got Michelle, and that glorious woman spent 2 hours with me! I had her undivided attention and she answered questions I had about hair, routines, tips, everything.From walk-in to shampoo to cut to walk out, I would recommend Kharisma to everyone!

I have been going to Ashley for around 9 years and she is fabulous and does a great job on my wavy/curly hair. Cutting wavy/curly hair is tricky but Ashley is great about making sure i look my best and she changes it up for me when I get bored with my style. The staff is fabulous and there is nothing more relaxing than to get your hair shampooed at Kharisma. The salon is beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend Kharisma!

It’s been 3 months since I have had my hair done here I was told that they are going to refund me! Well they did NOT! My hair is still in horrible condition it broke off and I started balding I tried not to leave a bad review for a company being a business owner myself however I haven’t heard from anyoneI do not recommend anyone get their hair done here not even a haircutIn my opinion they pay people to leave them good reviews as they attempted to do with me all I wanted was my money back for The horrid service I got Sorry I can’t be bribed

Courtney has been coloring and cutting my hair for 11 years -- she is EXCELLENT! My color is always very natural looking and she does a wonderful job with my short hair cute! Shes been on maternity leave twice since Ive been with her and Ive used other colorists and stylists at Kharisma. Ive always had great service and results. Its not an inexpensive salon, but if its in your budget, its worth it!

I am very pleased with Kharisma and their staff. My husband and I both go to Kharisma. We followed our hair stylist, Ashley, to Kharisma from another shop because she does a wonderful job. And we have found that we love Kharisma too! The Kharisma staff are very easy to work with. We also love the shampoos that we receive from Tamra because they are so relaxing; she does a great massage of your scalp while shampooing. Everyone at Kharisma, including the front desk, are so nice and pleasant. Id recommend this shop to any and all!

Debbie, the owner of Kharisma, has been doing my hair for over 30 years. I love her! This salon is full of talented and very capable stylists. I now live in Austin but make the drive every three months for a cut and perm. I wouldnt got to anyone else.

Jenny is the bomb. She is a total professional and does a fabulous job with my color. She is consistent, which for me is very important. I know every time I see her that my color will be exactly how I love it. She does a great cut and beautiful blow out. The staff is professional and the owner is all about customer service. First- I have been with Chen for almost 11 years and would follow her wherever she goes! Her color is awesome, looks natural and her cuts are precision perfect. Kharisma is a great salon! The reservation staff is on point and the entire salon staff is fantastic. The location is great, parking is easy and you walk out looking better than when you walked in...every time. The only thing that will be disappointing is if this great review prevents me from getting the appointment I need because Chen is so awesome. Shes family - but better because I always look forward to seeing her.

Kharisma Hair Studio is topnotch! The owner is hands on and the studio has a great atmosphere. The products they use are of the highest quality and the hairstylist are always attending continuing education classes.

I really liked my haircut with Travis. He really knows what to do with curls and didnt try to convince me that I should straighten my hair like most other stylists. Travis listened to me and even showed me how to style my hair. The cut is super cute. But, this is why I will never go back to Kharisma: the girl that was washing my hair and her coworker kept making rude comments about the clients in the salon. A client would walk by and they would make fun of their age or weight. Then when the two of them started whispering and giggling with each other, how could I not think they were making fun of me? It was a little bit humiliating and I felt like an insecure teenager. I couldnt hear everything they were saying, but their behavior was not only incredibly immature, but completely unprofessional. I dont want to be made fun of by anybody, least of all somebody Im paying high-end prices to.

LOVED LOVED LOVED. I am writing this review because I just got my hair done and I LOVE it. Definitely ask for Chen to do your hair, especially if youre going for a balayage look. I got a balayage and it came out just the way I wanted it. She is so good!! Amazing service and clean environment. Definitely a place to go for a high end look. 10/10 would recommend.

I love this place. My hairdresser of 15 years, Debbie Comeaux, just bought this salon. The services are first rate. It might have been the last owner and staff that failed the client but not the new owner.

Ive been seeing Ashley for almost 14 years. I trust her implicitly with my hair. When she changed salons to Kharisma, it was a no-brainer that I would be a new client there. The salon is beautiful and the staff is fantastic.

I called to get pricing for partial highlights and the gentleman that answered the phone said they started at $75 depending on who did the service. I then said that was good and asked if they still offered a 20% discount to new clients. He paused then said he now remembered the girl who offered highlights for $75 is no longer at salon and that the price would start at $120 for partial highlights! I asked him why he suddenly remembered the girl no longer worked there & he couldnt answer. Not going there.

My husband surprised me with an appt for my birthday. He had heard me say a few times that I wanted to change my hair and so he called a few hair salons around the area to get information. He told me that the person who answered was so nice and answered all his (annoying: according to my husband) questions. He said that was a HUGE factor in choosing the salon. Other salons just got annoyed and tried to rush him off the phone.When I arrived, I was introduced to Jenny. She was so nice, helpful and just plain awesome! She fixed my hair color and I walked out of there almost in (happy) tears but I contained myself because nobody likes a cry baby. Lol!I will return! I love this place.

I have been going to Kharisma for years, and I can definitely say that I receive a consistently wonderful experience every time. My appointments are never messed up, and they are always running on time (in fact, if youre late, you either have to be rescheduled, or you get skipped for a bit). Laura does my hair color, and I always get compliments on how natural it looks. My highlights look so natural (and yes - I go light blonde), that it doesnt even look like I need to rush back to the salon a month later to touch up the roots! Brandy is awesome at cutting/styling hair, and she does a great job with updos. Oh yes - and dont forget the assistants that give some of the best scalp massages at the shampoo bowl that Ive ever experienced! Although they are pricey, it is definitely worth it because you will be happier, and wont need as many touch-ups or corrections like other places. In fact, Kharisma doesnt charge much (if any) more than Visible Changes in the mall, which gives your run-of-the-mill haircut! The upscale atmosphere combined with the unique color and cut methods (balayage, or hand painted highlights) definitely makes Kharisma stand out.

I was so embarrassed by this womans incredulous attitude and disdain for everyone she encountered that were trying to make her happy and accommodate her request. Her lack of class and sheer ungratefulness was appalling. Thank you to all the staff of Kharisma that kept a smile on yalls face and tried to keep her behavior from the rest of us. I HATE THAT PLACE. I went there trying to get my hair lighten, and it was the worst experience ever. They use a product that made my hair all dry. The first time I went for a consultation they told me it would take 4 hours and after the that when they use the product the awful person that was taking care of me told me that would take more than one session. They sent me home with my hair all patchy and dry. I had to cut my hair several times since that day. I HATE THAT PLACE.

Shes been cutting my hair for roughly ten years and shes the best!

In response to Maya Shibs review: I am also a client at Kharisma and I happen to be in the salon at the same time Ms. Shib was there. Not only was the entire staff helpful and knowledgeable but they did their very best to accommodate her while she was there. From what I understand she was not happy with the hair color she received about a week prior so she came back and had a different stylist re-apply to her liking (On the house with a complimentary blow out). I have never in my life seen a more RUDE, BRATTY, and UNGRATEFUL person, as Ms. Shib in my life. She acted in a manner that was so unbelievably awful, I was honestly shocked! The staff did all they could to please her and she acted like an entitled brat, shouting and demanding to the ladies trying to help her. This is a wonderful salon with a group of incredibly talented stylists. Kharisma will forever have my business, I would never go anywhere else.
