Trust me there are worse places??. They have nice private rooms, 90% caring staff, a administration that will fight for your needs, not wants, needs. My father was injured there and died . Enough said. They did not secure a tray it rolled he fell.

My dad was here for 5 weeks last year after a fall. Thank God my mom stayed with him every day and night, because the care was terrible. Some of the RNs and CNTs were actively incompetent, while others were just overworked and uncaring. Only a few of them really belonged in a caring profession. The discharge planner was useless and expected my mother to remind her about what she had agreed to do. Really? You want my 80-year-old mom to tell you what your job is? Aargh. The only good part - and this was big - was the therapy. Both PT and OT were great, and my elderly father was able to return home again. However, I truly think that if my mom hadnt been there 24/7 to advocate for his care, he wouldnt have survived. We are looking for rehab for him again this year after another fall, and it DEFINITELY wont be ManorCare.

Since my parent has been at this place, they have twice not had her medication and have been at a complete loss as to what to do when her blood sugar spiked, the Dr was unavailable so the nurse made an executive decision to get my parents blood sugar down. When there were emergencies I didnt receive any phone calls, so I would have had no idea, if my parent had passed or was comatose I would not have known, but fortunately they have bought my parent a cell phone to call me and thank God because I wouldnt have known anything being so far from where my parent is. I wouldnt have even started this review, however, since Martin answered, he decided it would be a good idea to put more stress on my already raw nerves and be condescending, rude and argumentative instead of simply getting me to the person I needed to speak to about my parent. The only reason I dont give a one star is because of the politeness and helpfulness of Doug, the Director. I am very afraid of this place. The good reviews it got are surprising me at this point. The director can only do so much with what hes been given and it looks like to me he has his work cut out for him. Just because it might be better than another place does not mean that its a choice you want to make for someone you love and care about. To be honest, the nature of my parents condition is deteriorating and Id prefer my parent to be comfortable and not afraid like my parent always is now. My parent has no trust because these nurses/Drs have broken that trust and have placed my parent in such a state of mind that my parent is living with unnecessary fear of dying this way. My parent likes some of the people who work here, dont get me wrong, all are not this way. Some are new, some do not know what they need to do in all situations. This is lives we are talking about. Not just money and business folks.Edit**** I am taking a lot of notes about exactly who is doing what and whats being done or not done. I will post every single one of my notes here and everywhere I can find to review this place when it is all brought to a conclusion, please make sure that they are positive things that I can write. I am so done with the excuses.Edit*** 2018 thanks for nothing. You treated my mom like she was nothing. You lied to me and you lied to her. You are the most uncaring terrorists that I have ever had the misfortune to know. When I went to pick up her stuff there were crying patients because they hadnt had their meds in a timely manner for pain. You literally torture people here in this place and I hope that your staff gets their karma from this. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

This place was the most horrible place to work for they expect so much from you with little help or assistance. Patients were neglected such as being found on the floor it was ridiculous you call the nurses station the nurses were never around it was just sad. The lady over the nurses was trying to get her nurses to comply but they were just ridiculous ! I worked there for like 2 weeks and left its was horrible I found out the person who worked there before me stayed only for like 6months they could never keep anyone it was sad.

Staff is just going through the motions. Lifeless environment. Not enough people. Poor equipment for monitoring patients vitals. Not proactive towards resolving issues such as elevated blood pressure, fever, etc. The system in place for addressing each patients specific care plan needs improvement BIG TIME!!!! Communication breakdown occurs frequently. Patients holler out for long periods of time for assistance. Nurses or assistants take forever to respond when nurse button is pushed. Apathetic personalities possibly due to lack of proper resources. I could write a book. Furniture is decent. There is television in the rooms. Very loud talking at night. I dislike the experience.

The staff is nice & they seem to genuinely want to try to help the patients, but they are understaffed, & their cleaning service people are as visible as Casper the Friendly Ghost.

Worst rehab place ever. Lazy and careless staff ( except the therapists )Very surprised they are still in business. My father in law was admitted there a year ago for rehab due to multiple strokes and his daughter had to be constantly on top of the staff, whether it was to check on his medication or food intake, bathing arrangements, etc...If you don’t care about your family, this place would be perfect.Otherwise, there are too many options in Houston.
