Pleasant surroundings, well lite, comfortable rooms. Excellent care in Acute Care. Weekly menu is varied and outstanding. Staying from outside the area during recuperation, I inquired extensively. The recommendations which I received were totally validated during my stay. Whether for yourself or a loved one, I would highly recommend this location in Houston.

Holly Hall has been my mother’s home for the last 3 years. She has been so happy there having made lots of new friends and enjoying the activities there. Her apartment is beautiful and Gabby keeps it sparkling with her attention to detail. My family and I are so grateful that the campus has been locked down and safe during Covid and the staff has gone out of their way to assure they continued to have all amenities with the addition of others during the pandemic. The full campus generator assured that the residents were kept warm and comfortable during the winter freeze. The dining facilities are first rate including a scratch kitchen run by Chef Peter which includes homemade yeast rolls everyday. It is a sterling facility run by the best staff who care deeply for the residents.

The first time I heard about Holly Hall was when it was relatively new. I visited a church friend who was happily making items for Holly Hall’s Bazaar. The second time was with a neighbor whose sister was so cheerful I didn’t realize she was suffering from Alzheimer. The third time was with a close friend who was visiting a Rotary Club buddy here that enthusiastically showed us around. Every one of those early Holly Hall residents spoke of how happy they were here – which made it an easy choice for me when I finally made the decision to move myself.I moved to Holly Hall 8 years ago & have been grateful every day for the blessing of being in a safe, active & happy environment.

I was very happy at Holly Hall. I made many friends. I miss them dearly. My rooms were comfortable and complete. Chef and the dining room and kitchen staffs prepared delicious meals in a pleasant setting and outdid themselves during the pandemic to continue the tradition. The campus is beautiful and I especially enjoyed time in the raised beds garden. My special thank yous to all the staff and employees.

Holly Hall has been a blessing for me. I would have been alone in my house, not driving, with most neighbors working during the day. Here, I have made new friends, found a new life. In this life we have wonderful food, activities, exercise classes and a wonderful CEO and his staff. I love my five star place, and have never regretted my decision..

My parents chose Holly Hall for it’s beautiful campus and continuity of care. Holly Hall did not disappoint. Throughout their seven years here, they have enjoyed the chef prepared meals, entertaining activities, engaging residents and kind, professional staff.

Holly Hall is a loving and safe environment. To my knowledge, it is the only retirement community in Houston and the surrounding area with a large and beautiful green space where residents can walk and enjoy the flowers and can garden if they so choose. The board is extremely active and interacts on a regular basis (pre-Covid) with the residents at the monthly birthday parties, bazaar, book reviews and Christmas events. The entire board is looking forward to the day when they can return to campus. The staff is not only top notch, but they also demonstrate a genuine love for the residents. Holly Hall has the same warm feeling that you get when growing up in a small town. Everyone knows one another and cares for each other.

An excellent retirement facility that ministers to the elder care continuum - from Independent Living through Healthcare. First rate staff!

This place could be beautiful but the staff need to get trained on how to treat the patients or hire new staff.

Took 92 year old mother to skilled nursing wing directly from hospital. Room was clean & neat. Sat in overstuffed chair. Bedbugs began to crawl on me. Grabbed my mother & left as quickly as possible.

My husband and I moved into a cottage at Holly Hall two years ago, and we are glad we did. Holly Hall is a friendly place, small enough so we can know almost everyone in independent living. When we need it, assisted living and healthcare will be available to us. The staff is friendly and helpful. The 20-acre campus is lovely and well-maintained, and conveniently located near the medical center, with easy access to the museum district and downtown. Holly Hall is one of the few retirement communities without a large buy-in, so it is affordable for many retired seniors. Its a great place to live!

In many ways this is a very high quality place that is like living in a cool hotel. There is a down to the dust/slush-syrup mentality to preparing drinks and food in certain areas of the place which is too diabetic style eating for me but fortunately my mother hasnt killed her ability to appreciate natural food. I wish they had a little more whole foods and super foods but sometimes they do and the meals are good. The staff is very positive and user-friendly but appear to be overworked and underpaid so it helps to appreciate this. Their defense mechanism in coping with the stress seems to be an officious application of the rules, multitasking in a manner that causes you to get bumped by somebody else and spend extra hours waiting to get your place back in line, snapping at you, pretending they didnt hear you or lying to you that they will handle the problem when they have zero intention to do this. Be understanding, they are placed in a bad situation and need more people working with them. Fortunately none of this behavior extends to what is really important for the well-being of your loved one albeit it will cause you a lot of further problems in juggling the situations. But your loved one should be fine. Also Holly Hall is a very clean environment. But if you are having to go in a lot to the place like me as an only child with no additional help and to set up my mothers place just learn to be adult and diplomatic. It will probably take a lot longer than expected. Just accept this and deal with it. Having said that if you are one of the many who barely stop by and are quick to leave then this should be a benefit not a problem. Good luck with my ability to try to move a fish tank in the area or work on other things like bring in a singer to the place though. Since there are 4 people working Maintenance dont expect them to work on your room anytime soon. But otherwise this is a great place.
