Recently called for an appointment for a family member. They were initially booked and could not get an appointment for 2 weeks (which isn’t bad by the way, some cardiology offices are booked 2 months out). Alyssa went above and beyond, and called back the next day with an appointment that was sooner. I really appreciate her help and it reflects well on the clinic. Thank you.

I have the best cardiologists in the world and it all stemmed from a hospitalization at Abington hospital I was given the best treatment my doctor visited my bedside every day her bedside manner is phenomenal she is the best they are the best sad to say but if I ever had a heart attack again Id want them to handle it God forbid but thats how good they are hands down

The staff are very friendly, and really helpful. The waiting room is very spacious, and bright. You never have a long wait,,and the doctors are all excellent.

I hope anyone really requiring Abington Cardio services never calls..because they never answer their phones, definitely could raise your blood pressure more than 2 salty cheese steaks. Worse when they call you with a recorded message of useless info that your appointment is changed and a # to call with an extension that doesn’t exist.

For starters no one answers the phone. It took well over a week of calling and leaving messages daily for someone to call me back. In addition, The communication with the colleagues in the office needs improvement. It would help prevent unnecessary issues. They’ll also cancel your appointment without contacting you to inform you on why.

I had an appointment on March 17th at 8.00am. I received a text and a phone message stating that my appointment was canceled. They offered no explanations. I finally got through to a scheduler on the phone March 15th, and I asked why my appointment was canceled. I was told that my doctor didnt have morning hours. So why did they schedule me in the am. The I was told that the doctor was having afternoon hours. Of course they had no openings for me in the afternoon. Now when I attempted to make another appointment, I was told that I would have to wait until sometime in April. That is ridiculous. I have been having heart problems but I guess that they really could care less.

I have been a patient of Abington Medical Specialists for several years. When I was notified by my mail-in pharmacy that my next refill on two meds was no longer available in spite of having two refills remaining, I immediately sent an e-mail via their portal to Dr. Goldstein at AMS. Within an hour his staff contacted me and they contacted the pharmacy and resolved the issue. Their help is very much appreciated. They have always been responsive to any issue, large or small. Great medical group.

Beware of this practice. Make sure you review any services you had and what is being billed. Trying to discuss and issues is impossible.

My parents have been patients of Dr. Yazmajian for many years. She has always given my parents wonderful care. Colleen Suter ; our physicians assistant, has been exceptional in the care of my parents. I cant thank the staff enough for all their help and guidance in dealing with insurance issues since November 2019. Not only did they help with this issue, they are always easy to talk to and will answer any questions that I have. A big shout out to Jaci, Hanna, Makela, Ruhina and Jennie. They are the best!

LOVE MY Dr. Emanuel J. Kostacos !! i cant say enough, his bedside manor is second to none. he explains everything and puts me in my place when i want to stray!! i had some serious issues pop up in july 2020 and he explained everything in a way i understood it. constantly checks up on me and doesnt treat me like and idiot. happy new year doc!!

Doctor was unbelievably rude.

I met Dr. Vamshi in 2014 when I was very sick in the ICU. He has been my cardiologist ever since that year and today. He is smart, kind, cares about his patients. He always makes sure you understand what he tells you and ask your opinion as well. The cardiologists in this practice are phenomenal and I trust each and everyone one of them if I needed one. I have had Dr. Balaratna for my cardiac catheterization. I also have the utmost confidence in Dr. Watson. Chief of Cardiology. These cardiologists are professional and will always have your best interest at heart with your heart. Thank you to you all.

My mother was a patient here and I now see her cardiologist as well. The office is easy to work with and Dr. Mallavarapu is terrific. I feel heard and well cared for.

I was very pleased with my visit to AMS Cardiology. Dr. Shapiro was pleasant, thorough and punctual. The office staff were kind and helpful. The office was clean and inviting.

The folks at cardiology are wonderful! I had a great experience with them and everything was explained to me as far as what my results were. I left feeling fully informed and fully understanding of everything.Please note the second part of the review is for my experience finding the cardiology section and it does not reflect cardiology at all:I feel like I need to state something here. When you enter the building in which cardiology is located, make sure you go to the right and back of the building. I went in and did not realize that the first reception desk was for another department (x-rays I believe). Naturally, I walked up and stated that I had an appointment, and the nurse who was behind the counter had a real nasty attitude with me. She did not look at me once as she was engulfed, quite literally nose first, into her phone. Spare yourself some frustration from a potential nurse who seems to not care about her job and thinks her phone is more important than a patient.

The physician I saw was nice and competent. However, the coding and billing practices of the office are highly questionable and very agressive. The office staff is rude and unwilling to discuss and work through issues. Letters from collection agency may be received even for paid bills.

Efficient, friendly staff. All testing done on schedule and everything was explained well!

This place is horrible. Rude staff, takes you 30-45 minutes for someone to pick up the phone in order to make the appointment.I had to call back and select different prompts so I can get a live person on the phone. Not sure if they are short handed or whatever the case is, this practice will not see me again.
