Sol was very straight forward with his training. He showed us what to work on at home with our German Shepard puppy in order to move forward with the training. Our pup is responding well to what we were taught. Excited to move forward!!

Pecas(3 month old puppy) had only one class and she is amazing at walking now - prior to her first class, a 1.65 mile walk would take one hour - after the class it takes 32 minutes - no pulling - no grabbing/chewing on all she finds along the road; full focus on walking and staying on my left.I feel more confident as Pecas’leader!We are being very diligent following Sol’s directions and homework. I’m have a great experience with Sol and New England K-9. We brought a 13 week old puppy into our family (we have a 3 yo) and wanted to start him, and us, off right. We are very much on track and owe it to NE K-9s simple principles. Highly recommend.

We took our dog to Sol 9 years ago. He was an out of control rescue, sheperd mix, and too strong for my wife and kids at 8 months. Sol was straight forward, direct, and blunt. He taught US to teach our dog. At almost ten years old he is still excited for walks, and when heeled is happy and attentive. We work with him less but he knows what we expect. There is no reward beyond affection. I still have the same leash, its the only one we have had since training with Sol.

Sol was extremely helpful and informative after our first session with my Rottweiler puppy. Sol explained everything step by step as well as the reasoning behind it. After our first session, I can definitely tell that my pup is more obedient, smart and willing to learn! I was initially worried that my pups inner demon would come out but Sol helped to teach me how to correct her bad behavior. We left our first class with a lot of information and homework to practice! Very excited to continue our program!

I met with Sol today with my 7 month old puppy. She has never obeyed but after today I feel extremely confident that she will grow to be a well mannered dog. I was taught that the owner has to be trained in order to train the dog and that the right equipment is a must have! Sol is very knowledgeable and straight forward.

You pay $500 cash upfront for your first lesson, which doesn’t go over much at all. If you right a 5 star review he will give you a free lesson, which I’m pretty sure is illegal to do. It’s held in his garage, where he just happens to sell choke collars and leashes. He says that he has dogs, but would not allow us to meet any when we asked. I wanted to see how well trained his dogs were, but he refused. We reluctantly said we would continue, and decided there were many “weird feelings” about how this guy runs his business. There are many more reputable trainers with actual facilities in the area. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere.

We met with Sol for the first time last night to help train our 8 month old Saint Bernard. He is great. It is going to be a lot of work to actually train us but we are confident that Sol will teach us all we need to know to have a well mannered dog.

Where do I begin... well my wife informed me of this dog trainer after having consulted him herself to get a feel for the type of person he was. She asked me to call him myself so I can draw my own conclusion and so I obliged. At the beginning of the call he immediately went on a tangent on how hes been dog training for some 40+ years. He was slightly rude and barely discussed his methods and continued to talk and seemed more interested in collecting the 540 dollars up front than actually efficiently training our puppy. I voiced my concerns to my wife and she felt the same way about him but we decided to give him a chance because his record seemed extensive and he had an abundance of good reviews.Fast forward to today and as we arrived and pulled up to his garage he was immediately demanding and rushed me and my wife, we ignored his ignorance and I approached him to read and sign the paperwork that he immediately produced before we even introduced ourselves. As my wife retrieved our puppy and began to approach the trainer he immediately barked at my wife to keep out dog back and to not allow her to smell or jump on him with an incredibly demanding and offensive tone, it was at that moment that we immediately thanked him for his time and decided that he wasnt a fit for our lovely puppy. If he was that rude in the beginning i could only imagine the type of verbal abuse we woule be subjected to during future classes. THE ONLY REASON HE HAS AN OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF 5 STAR REVIEWS IS BECAUSE HE WILL GIVE YOU A FREE LESSON IN EXCHANGE FOR A GOOD REVIEW! HE IS NOT A QUALITY TRAINER AND YOU SHOULD AVOID THIS GUY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AT A QUALITY FACILITY THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE RESPECT AND DIGNITY YOU AND YOUR PUPPY DESERVES!

Excellent responsiveness, never waited more than an hour for a call back. Also excellent professionalism and skill, had my first lesson and by the end of the first week my GSD puppy is already performing above and beyond. The one on one aspect also allows full attention for the needs of your dog allowing for the best outcome.

Sol is an excellent trainer who expertly communicates exactly what your dog needs. After just one session, we have seen a tremendous positive change in our once rambunctious puppy that has brought a sense of calm back to our household. Along with learning the proper technical steps required get our pup to heel, turn, sit, and stay, we also now understand the importance of consistency. As Sol said, Your dog wants to please you, he just needs to know what you expect of him. We are excited to continue to work with him and watch our puppy flourish!

We have rescue Australian Shepherd who never was socialized properly and has what appears to be anxiety issues when around strangers. We tried self training along with a few professional trainers but none of this helped until we discovered Sol and New England K-9 School for Dogs. In one session with Sol he provided us with enough information and techniques for on leash training that we saw an immediate improvement in her behavior. The moment we met Sol we knew this is whom we should have found in the beginning of our training as he is the true Professional. We still have a ways to go but look forward to our continued learning and training with Sol as we have the utmost confidence that his training techniques will help us get our girl to be well socialized and behaved around not just the family but everyone she may come across. Sol is fantastic with dogs. He knows just what to do, and his confidence allows dog owners to leave feeling confident, successful, and hopeful that we can indeed train our pup/dog. The ability to have access to Sol at all times via phone is also a plus. He has helped us learn how to deal with issues that arise between training sessions. He never seems rushed, or acts in a hurry. He genuinely cares about you raising a well-trained dog, and will do everything he can to help you.

We chose Sol for his lengthy experience and expertise in dog training. He highly regards obedience and we are very interested in having a dog who is well behaved around guests and/or strangers, and especially our family. He knows a lot about Canine Good Citizen and said our dog would be ready to take the test and hopefully pass, that is if WE learn how to train our dog well. He emphasizes that it is not the dog who needs training, it is the owners who need to know how to do it with consistency. That is easier than it sounds. We learned a lot in our first lesson, but there are still things that need work. Sol tells you to go home and practice and then make the next appointment when ready. True to his word, he is readily available with plenty of phone help when needed. He is a definite person and knows his stuff. We look forward to our next appointment and improving our Dog training abilities...fast we hope!

I was hesitant to write a review too quickly after my first lesson with Sol (emphasis on MY first lesson). He is a very nice guy and was super patient with all my questions as a first time dog owner. He does give you a lot of information to process but its all in an effort to become a dog-parent. I noticed some immediate changes in her behavior and ability to walk on a leash more calmly. However I just couldnt remember everything so I gave Sol a call, he answered immediately and reminded me of some of the important items I had forgotten and WOW what a difference. I definitely have some more practicing to do before the next lesson but I am thrilled with the progress so far.

Had a great initial training session. Have high hopes that Ill be able to teach everything I learned to Quinn.

I took my dog to Sol. Noticed immediate improvement in my dog after first lesson. There is so much to learn in the first lesson I went home & feverishly wrote down everything he had taught but didnt remember everything. Second lesson i found out I was shortening the leash incorrectly. How can anyone determine that in a phone conversation ? For me handouts with pics would have been helpful for me to self correct & reinforce my learning & not practice it incorrectly. I was nervous with the training & his tone with me was not helping. As for the choke collar my dog coughs a lot even if I keep realigning it on him. I now use a harness & he still remembers how to stop & sit appropriately from just one lesson. I believe Sol is a good trainer but his style & lack of handouts & written instruction did not work for me. I also like how Sol is available by phone for any dog issue that you have. I also like the one-on-one. I also chose Sol because of his good reviews & decided not to give a review after the first lesson to get a free one.

I usually dont right reviews but this time i have to say something about Sol. I am very happy i finally found this school. After only on session Luna is more obedient, i feel more confident to take her anywhere . People is commenting on how smart and well trained she is. Its not positive reinforcement training but it works. Sol does push you to buy his stuff but too expensive for me. Just finished one class and writing a review immediately for the free class. Will update this review after all the classes. 3 stars because Im neutral about his training methods and approach, for now. He does answer all your questions and is approachable. He talks really fast, at the same time, he is upfront and straightforward about everything he says and does. Looking forward to the rest of the classes.

I took my Shepard here last week, Sol was great, he took his time to teach me proper ways of training my dog. So far the things he has taught me has worked.

My GSD who is almost 4 and I met with Sol yesterday. Sol is very knowledgeable. My boy knows the basics but is dog aggressive, I want to work on that, obviously there are steps in between. Within 24 hours his walks have improved tremendously, who would have thought that I’ve been holding the leash incorrectly for 20 year?! I highly recommend Sol!!

We brought our 11 month old Rottweiler to Sol last week for our first class. After one week, we have seen huge improvements. We are excited to to see how the rest of the training will go. Our only regret is not finding Sol sooner. We highly recommend him for large breed dogs.

I have had one lesson with Sol and my four-year-old rescue dog that I have had for about 10 months. She is generally well behaved but loves to jump on people and chase squirrels at time. So far, so great! As he should, he definitely trains the owner and makes sure that your dog is paying attention to you and respecting you. This will be key as she learns to obedient both on and off leash. Looking forward to going back and learning more!

Great first impression, just had our puppy intro lesson. Very professional and upfront. Neither my wife nor I have trained a puppy even though we have been around dogs. Sol made the expectations simple enough to provide a good foundation and we have already seen the puppy learning from our time at the lesson to the time at home. I brought my 2yr old Doberman to New England K9 in Hopkinton about a week ago. Sol is a great teacher. Hes the real deal. He said I would notice a change in my dogs behavior within 20min and he was dead no accurate. Halfway through the first lesson my dog became very submissive and I was very impressed at Sol teaching technique. My family and I are beyond grateful we found Sol! I have a 17 month old (male, intact) German Shepherd and he was displaying aggressive behavior. I researched many other dog training facilities and New England K9 is by far the best. I was able to call and make an appointment (no emailing back and forth, no making an online account, no BS). At our first appointment my dog (in the beginning) would not stop barking. By the end of the class my dog was paying attention to me, responding to my commands, and he wasn’t barking! This all was done without Sol having to lift a finger. He was able to explain and instruct how to do everything so I was able to get the hands on experience I needed. I cannot wait for my next class! From one dog owner to another... I HIGHLY recommend.

After just our first lesson and week of practice, I can honestly say that my American Pit Bull mix is already doing so much better. My dog is listening and I am able to actually walk him on the leash without him pulling at all. I am really looking forward to going through the rest of the program with Sol.

I have been working with Brandi since I got her in November. She is an amazing pup and just needs some adjustments. So far on her first visit Brandi has already improved on her listening skills. After additional sessions we decided to terminate our training with Sol (3 lessons in total). We found his techniques to be inconsistent with our philosophies. His technique is based on being extremely harsh with your dog, bordering on cruel to make the dog fear you and the punishment/abuse used to train him to be totally subservient. We want our dog to be obedient, but to maintain his spirit and personality. We dont believe this type of train will achieve that.We dont doubt that it will make your dog obedient, so if youre ok with this approach, this may be the place to go.Our dog left sessions scared and didnt want to get out of the car when we returned. We have since gone to a different trainer with what we consider a more humane training approach, more to our liking, with amazing results.We lost money on this one, since Sol insists on up front cash payment for a series of 5 lessons after the first lesson if you want to continue, which he does explain very clearly up front. He also pushes you to buy his products constantly, at costs much higher than you can get them elsewhere.

Great first lesson, Great trainer!Sol trained us, so we can train our 4 month old Lab-mix. Within the first week, doing our daily practices, our pup is more focused and responsive than ever before. Sol is clear in his explanations of process and why each step and action is important. He arms us the pups parents with the skills and information we need to train our dog. His methods are much like parenting- consistency, consistency, consistency. He offers free phone advice for the life of the dog with the 5 session training package - what a plus! Thanks Sol!

5 out of 5 so far. I have a 4 yr old Welsh Corgi. We had our first lesson with Sol 5 days ago and we already see a drastic change. She no longer pulls us along on walks but stays along side of us. Sol is true to his word and is always available over the phone. We have already called him and he gave us great advice right over the phone to help with our training. We also love that Sol is really flexible on when we do our lessons since we definitely will not be ready within a week for another lesson. The lessons are on your and the dogs own pace. This is really time intensive training you have to be on 24/7. If you put the work in you will see a better dog. All the previous treat-based training I have done with my dog has never given me these kind of results and this quickly. Corgis can be stubborn so she previously would not listen without a food reward. She is now really learning to listen to us and her reward is our praise and a good belly rub which unlike treats are always readily at hand.

We recently got a Lab puppy... We were naive (first time dog owners) to think that he will be a perfect house pet, listen to what we say and lick us in appreciation. That obviously wasnt the case. He chews on everything, he jumps on people (to play) and when walked he will just lay down and not move. Needless to say we got tired of him being the boss! We found Sol on the Internet and saw improvement in our dog after the first class. Sol is great, he is very open, straightforward and honest. He sets the expectations upfront. This training is and investment of both time and money, but it is well worth it!!! After just one class with a few valuable techniques our dog has transformed and became more obedient. Very satisfied. I have full trust that by the end of the program, we will have a perfectly trained dog. Sol doesnt train the dog as much as the owner. He equips you with knowledge to be able to train your dog correctly.

We have now had two lessons with Sol, and we have seen dramatic changes in Chloe. As he explains on his web page, Sol is not training our dog, he is training us, and he is doing a great job. He responds promptly to all of our phone calls and he explains everything thoroughly. He is a great teacher. I give my very highest recommendation for New England K9 School for Dogs.

We have a rescue pup from Kentucky and wanted to make sure she got off on the right foot ~ after just one session with Sol at New England K9 ~ we saw a difference. She can walk on the leash with no problem and most importantly our 12 year old has confidence around Lola now.We explored the whole group training vs individual training and know this is right for our family. My husband and I are dedicated dog owners and have owned many dogs over the last 20 years. We have recently added to our pack and realized we needed to formerly train our dogs. Our first lesson was incredible, our dog came home with a new attitude and respect for us and our household as did we. Sol is the real deal. He trains the owners not so much the dog. I had my first class last Wednesday (I say I because Sol makes it clear that its people training and not dog training) and Im blown away with the progress my dog has made. He heels right to my leg on walks when he would pull the entire time before we started class. So excited for our next class considering we have seen this much change in a single week! Sol is down to business and spends the entire class working with you 1 on 1. Highly recommend Sol.

After reading all of Sols positive reviews, I chose to bring my Goldendoodle to him for training. I quickly realized why he had such great reviews; he gave a free class following a review after the first class. The trainer was intimidating to both my dog and myself, demanding my husband and I make a decision whether we would like to continue with the 6 week training before the end of our first session. We paid upfront and never returned. At one point during our first training, he yelled at me to rip his head off because I wasnt pulling hard enough on the choke caller. The way he trains dogs is inhumane. Avoid this place at all cost.

Sol is great! We have only had one session with him but we are happy with the results so far! Sol is willing to help in any way and didnt rush us out of the first session. He took his time to make sure we understood everything we were supposed to start doing with our dog at home. I recommend him to any breed at any age!

Sol is an incredible trainer. We have a 5 month old Akita and Husky mix and they tend to be aggressive and territorial. After our first one hour class we could see major changes within his behavior. At first he was barking, growling, couldn’t sit still, and jumped on everyone around him. But after his first session he was well mannered sitting and staying next to me waiting for directions. Although his training may appear strict to some, it is the only thing that seems to work for our dog. I highly recommend his training program as it’s very effective and teaches not only the dog, but the owner.

We started working with Sol after a family friend recommended we contact him about a week ago. We have a 5 month old Rottweiler, Bronson. Within the past week of implementing what Sol trained US on, we have seen a huge difference in how Bronson walks and listens. We are looking forward to scheduling our next session in the upcoming weeks. We drive about an hour to work with Sol and we would drive 2 if we had to.

Axel and I have attended one class with Sol so far. Its been only a few days and Axel seems to be an eager student with the training. We were getting some complaints about his behavior from doggy daycare prior to our first training and have already received compliments on his improvement! Doggy boot camp. No nonsense. I learned a lot about myself too after my first session. You have to commit and follow everything he says or you’re wasting your money. That means I get rid of my dog walker because she’d just derail everything my dog learns. It will be worth it because my dog can’t walk in a straight line. It’s a nightmare trying to walk her, so whatever it takes I WILL DO. I’m getting every penny’s worth.The only downside is that he doesn’t offer obedience training for humans. I need to get whipped into shape. 🤭😭🐶👩🏾‍🦱

I have only had one lesson and left feeling good that my dog was picking up what we were learning the first day but overwhelmed. I kept holding the leash wrong and felt like at times I was getting scolded. I am looking forward to our next lesson and to see where my dog and I can go.

I just had the first training for Dice, 7 month old. Sol was an amazing trainer and knows how to teach dogs. Dice turned to a completely different dog within 30 min!! Cant wait for the next session!

We have a 15 months golden retriever, July, that never got trained. We talked with Sal on the phone and scheduled the first class. After 30 minutes we decided to go with this. It was an amazing first session. July used to pull the leash all the time when we walked him and I fell down few times in the snow and almost broke my arms. After the first session we started walking July with the equipment and the way how Sal taught us. He did an AMAZING job from the first day we got home!!! Not pulling, always walking by our side!! Highly recommended if you are looking for a real deal!!!

All of these 5 star ratings are because this guy will give you a free class if you rate him on the first class with him. So they are very biased. He also Doesnt listen to you as a client. I found that any time I asked a question he would go on a rant about something related to my question but never answer it even if repeated. Im a trainer myself but did not tell him this because I wanted to be treated like any other client. I was looking for alternative methods for my dog because the methods were not working on this particular dog. He does not have alternative methods. Only one method that he claims will work on every single dog. He also sold me a choke chain for $50. I didnt look into the cost ahead of time because I trusted him when he claimed he only made $1 when he sells them and that he gets them specially ordered from Germany. Once I looked closely at the collar that I bought, I noticed it was just a herm sprenger. The same exact collar is between $10-13 on many websites. Huge rip off.

We just had our first training with Sol! It took place in his home and was a one on one session. Sol is very responsive to phone calls and gets back to you right away- no matter the question. I was a bit intimidated coming in and it was nerve wracking to try some of the corrections on my dog. However, Sol explained that this hurts my heart far more than it hurts my dog. Frank (my sweet, crazy rescue dog can sometimes be aggressive when nervous) was very quick to pick up the training. I couldnt believe how in just one session he was listening to me and responding to me in a way he has never done before. Sol explained how I need to be the one in charge, and Frank needs to look to me to make decisions for him. The next part will be doing my homework and working with Frank consistently every day if I want to see any positive change. I am excited to see where this takes us!

I have only had one session so far, but Sol Oven is great and very patient. He understands that he isnt really there to teach the dog, its the PERSON that needs training. Once the owner gets it correct the dog shines. What can I say the dogs learn faster than the people. :p

My dog Athena is a black lab/pitt mix. I rescued her from a shelter in New Orleans, and while she is an amazing dog, she does have certain behaviors that I wished to either tame or eliminate altogether. After researching various dog trainers in my local area, I stumbled across New England k9 school for dogs--Im so glad that I did. With just one session with the owner of the business, Sol, Athena is listening so much better to my commands.What I loved most about our session is that Sol emphasized the idea that the dog is only as good as the owner; Ill admit that while I was tough on my baby girl when she acted out, I definitely could have used a bit more consistency and discipline when working with her. Sols program is a 5-session course that is not limited to simply 5 consecutive weeks--if you feel as though you need a week or two between classes to work on what was covered, that is perfectly fine as long as you give him a heads up. Further, Sol offers a for life phone-consultation service. Ive already called once when I needed advice.Ultimately, Im so pleased that I decided to go with New England k9 School for Dogs. Athena will be happier at the end of it all, and Ill be a better owner in the process.

Just finished my first session with Sol. I was blow away. From the minute you meet him you can tell his life is about dogs. he has an amazing facility and even better attitude. Within minutes I had learned something new and what I had been doing wrong. this is completely one on one training with no distractions. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND INVEST THE MONEY FOR THIS TRAINING. We just started working with Sol and have completed one class. We were very impressed by Sol and his knowledge about proper dog training right away. Weve wasted money previously on dog training and could tell within one lesson that the training we will get from Sol will be what were looking for. We have already seen a change in our dog in that he knows the roles have changed and he is not #1 in the household anymore. I would highly recommend Sol if youre looking for quality dog training!

Had our first class with our dog Lucy a few days ago, and we are already seeing an increase in her focus and other positive changes. We received helpful guidance from Sol and he made it clear that we need to consistently practice in order to be successful. I love that we can work on what we learned and then call when we want to schedule our next lesson, no pressure to hurry and be ready in a week. Love the one on one training! The lesson was great and the dog is responding very well. The way this class works is, Sol is mainly training you so that you can properly train your dog. I saw improvement on the first class. My 11 week old pit bull was whining all the time and this was almost entirely corrected on the first day of training. He is also responding to commands appropriately.

So far we have had one session with Sol. I was very skeptical, as my 14 week old puppy is extremely strong willed! After the session was over I could not believe the changes in both the puppy and the level of confidence my family left with to move forward. No longer did we feel we were going to be pushed around by our little four legged friend. I went into the training feeling so overwhelmed with all my questions. I came out feeling like I had been listened to and felt fully prepared to move forward with confidence. Every question was answered without feeling rushed. Sol told us to call with anything we needed!-he was there for us! We had his undivided attention and patience for over an hour. Fantastic experience!!

Its more than just dog training. Sol trains you and will change your perspective after the first session. I adopted my dog (a German shepherd mix) 4 years ago and she would pull me on walks, flip out and bite me when we encounter another dog and I would try to redirect her, not listen to my commands the first time, etc. She has even attempted to bite a child when the child came too close to her. Around the house she is a very friendly dog and will bark when she sees the neighbor or someone walking along the street, but once she sniffs them and is around them, is fine. However, I got tired of her being out of control and I wanted to be in control because as Sol has said, she is family and we always want the best for our family. I was afraid of her biting someone and being sued, or her running away and being hit by a car, because she has run away several times when the back gate has been opened due to the wind or something. I do spoil her. She thought that she was the boss and still does, but I see tons of improvement in how she behaves thanks to Sol because he is doing a great job training me to train my dog. However, you have to be committed, have a tough skin, be firm and do your homework by practicing at home. I definitely trust Sol and his expertise 100% and recommend him. He will provide free phone support for the life of your dog, too. Give him a call if you are considering it.

Sol was awesome! After just one lesson my labs behavior improved dramatically. Sol is extremely knowledgeable and provides great advice that is easy to understand and teach to your dog. I have completed a few sessions with Sol. I even got one of his choke collars which works very well. My pup outgrew her collar so I thought I could do my research and try to find the same one. Well I tried and tried and I had to return a few collars already. So guess what back to Sol to get the proper collar for my pup...

We recently began taking our Australian Shepherd puppy to New England K9 School for Dogs and could not be happier. Sol takes the time to break it down to the fundamentals and explains why his methods are effective. He is extremely flexible when it comes to scheduling, which is a huge plus if both owners work full-time. The daily homework assignments can be difficult to squeeze in to our schedule, but have proven to be effective. Our puppy is improving by the day. We just had our 1st lesson with Sol and our 9mo old Shepard. Ive been to other classes and felt like I learned more with Sol in an hour then I did the past 18wks else where. He really knows what hes doing and make it fun to work with u and your dog. Im looking forward to our future classes.

We have two 6 year old adorable, loving boys (Wheaten and a Mix) that exhibit general/regular frantic craziness when we come home, people come over and when they see other dogs-and have escalated beyond that adorable, loving trait to frustrated at times. Met Sol last week and its clear...its not the boys, its me! Sol is starting us back at the basics...got the RIGHT gear, and happy to report, we are all seeing results!! They both LOVE that they are learning and we are ALL much happier even after one week! No doubt, CALL SOL, get re-trained and EVERYONE will be happier!

Our 9 month old Bassador, Chloe, and I met with Sol five days ago for our first training session. Sol was very patient and thorough in teaching me how to use a slip collar on Chloe to make her heel properly and respect me. He took his time explaining the proper technique and rationale for using such a collar, and answered all the questions/concerns I had at the time. I have been working with Chloe multiple times a day and can definitely see a difference in her behavior. We look forward to our future training sessions with Sol!

Sol is great. he is extremely personable. we clicked right away. he said everything i wanted an instructor to say. we rescued a young french bulldog that needs guidance. i think sol will get us there. i am very excited to work with him. highly recommend him. looking fwd to having a well behaved pup.

One class in and our 5-month-old puppy is already much improved! Sol really teaches you, the human, not the dog. Hes thorough, patient and gives you plenty of time to ask any and all questions you have. Excited to come back and keep learning!

Sols the real deal! Weve been to 1 lesson so far with our 1 yr old pug and have definitely seen an improvement! Hes staying by our side when we walk him! Were even using Sols training with our 4 year old Boston.Lessons are one on one. Youll pull up to a really cool iron gate with a couple of dogs on them. The gates locked until your appointment time, so that you dont disturb the lesson hes currently teaching. Our lesson ran over an hour and he was totally cool with it. We also purchased the chain collar and leash, which has been so helpful and much easier on my hands! He tells you off the bat that you WILL feel foolish, but its all part of the training. Lesson 1 is actually more of a training for us than for the dog. My husband and I did some laughing at each other as we paraded back and forth, turning left, turning right, telling Mervyn (yes, thats our pugs name) to heel, sit, and stay. If you can go with another person, I would say do it. We took turns with the dog and learned a lot by watching each other. Were doing our best to spend 15 minutes, twice a day, practicing with him. Once we feel weve got a good handle on this, well give Sol a call for lesson 2!

We opted to continue and paid $500 up front, non refundable. Sol gives you a free lesson if you write a 5 star review after the first meeting so take that into consideration for the reviews. We decided the choke collar was not for us after the 2nd meeting. I wish we didnt dish out the $500 up front. We found other successful ways to train our dog without that.

NE K9 is great! Our 5 month old Husky is working great with our new instruction. She is listening to us, asking to go outside. I cant wait to see the end of our training and a Dog who is obedient.I agree a hidden Gem! Skip the group class or infomercial DVD Sol is reasonably priced and great to work with.

We brought our year and a half old Chihuahua Finnegan to SOL on Saturday for our first training lesson and we are extremely happy with the results! Finny immediately calmed down and started to follow all the directions given by my boyfriend, per Sols instructions. We are extremely excited to see the progress he makes in the next four lessons. Sol has given us some excellent tips on how to fix Finnys aggressive behavior -- We are very excited to soon have a well behaved and friendly puppy. Our lab mix rescue started classes with Sol, and then had his first vet appointment the next day. Other dogs barked at him in the waiting room, lunging at him... and there he patiently sat at my side, heeling as instructed, to the amazement of the staff (and owners of the other dogs) with little correction from me. Sols class is to-the-point and no-nonsense; youre there to learn how to work with your dog. Theres no colorful puppy murals on the walls, theres no up-sell for daycare or other services. Youre there to learn, and he will teach you. Were looking forward to the next class.

We are so happy for our 5 month old dog and for our family that we found Sol. We were looking to get some excellent training for our new puppy (and for us!), and Sol was exactly what we were looking for. You felt his experience with dogs the moment we met him. Our dog Luna had her first training session with Sol last week, and I couldnt be more pleased with all of the help and advice I received during the lesson. Luna was having a great deal of difficulty with distraction on walks, and Sol pointed out that Luna wasnt the only one having that issue. If were not focused, she wont be focused. He does a great job explaining the canine psyche, and were looking forward to developing Lunas (and our!) confidence in the coming months. Its a lot of hard work, but so far it really seems to be paying off.

We brought our dog Buddy (half golden, half pitbull) to the NE K9 School for Dogs in order to learn some lessons on behavior. We have only been to one class but can already see an incredible change. Not only has Sol helped Buddy, but has also helped us understand and train him better. We would recommend this school for anyone and everyone!

My wife and I took our dog for our first training with Sol and we definitely saw improvements on the first training. Mostly because we needed to train ourselves to be better owners. We did not realize how much we have allowed our dog to control us which causes the lack of respect from our dog. I took my 1.5 year old bully breed mix to Sol and after one visit I knew I had found the right person to help me. My boy has had a lot of problems adjusting to a life where I am not home with him at all times. He barks and protests incessantly. He also doesnt know how to act when he sees other dogs which leads to all sorts of insane noises coming out of his mouth. After the first visit, I could see the difference in how Bruce was responding to me. We have a lot of work ahead of us but with Sol helping guide me on that path I am confident that I can get my boy to be happy and confident on the leash as well as when he is home alone. We are taking our lab mix puppy here and so far we have learned a lot! We have realized how much our puppy has already trained us. This is helping us adjust to training and correcting behaviors in efficient ways.

We rescued a 6 month old female pitbull mix named Pretzel from Arkansas and quickly realized that we humans needed to learn some new skills to realize the obedient dog we wanted. After reading a lot of reviews Sol stood out as someone who has done this his whole life and will work with any dog, unlike a lot of other trainers who state plainly that they will not work with certain breeds or issues. This is the guy who trains police dogs and search and rescue dogs, and this is the guy you want training you and your dog. All lessons are private, which I feel makes a big difference. At his house he will explain what equipment to use and why, the difference between certain gear he offers and the stuff you can buy online or at Petco, and the reasoning behind it all. With a properly fitted choke collar and the confidence to use it properly, and an equal dose of love and encouragement we have seen huge changes in Pretzel. In just a week she is heeling and staying consistently, she no longer barks at dogs on walks, and is an all-around calmer pup. I am so excited to keep working with Sol to eventually get off-leash control, and cannot recommend him enough.

We just got a bloodhound puppy who is going to be a big guy, plus we have three children so it was very important that our new dog was going to be trained correctly. After speaking with Sol for 15 minutes on the phone it was clear that he knew what he was talking about. We scheduled our first visit soon after and learned so much and we have been continuing to work with the puppy everyday and are so excited to go back and work with Sol more! Also, the lessons are done around your schedule, no set days and times every week to struggle and get to :) Highly recommend!

Im so glad we found Sol! We have an Olde English Bulldogge who is 2 years old and in need of some real training. She is aggressive towards other new dogs, difficult to control (so excited and she cant hide it) when we are with friends and family, etc. Today we had our first session with Sol and she is already listening better than yesterday! Sol provides you with the technique and knowledge to become the leader your dog needs to thrive. Sol is super nice, laid back and easy to work with. After just 1 session and seeing how quickly our dog is picking up on this, I am totally motivated and committed to his program. I do admit that its a lot to remember (how to hold the leash, what to do/say, etc.) but this is where you really need to practice and do your homework. This training really is for PEOPLE who are committed to making this successful.
