I have been working with Matt for nearly 3 years now, starting twice a week with a small group of co-workers. That quickly led to twice a week workouts with my wife, which has been a great way to spend time with her and work towards our fitness goals together. After spending 4 hours a week with Matt for this long, I have come to view him as not only a great trainer and coach, but a great friend. He is open, friendly, and great at reading people, so he knows when something isnt going right.Matt is incredibly focused on helping you discover and achieve your goals - whatever they are. While I have lost a lot of weight, and am stronger than I have ever been, what I most appreciate is how he has helped me permanently change my habits and priorities to lead a better life. That is much more important than fun workouts, but he manages to pull those off too. I always enjoy my time in his gym, and look forward to the next one.I highly recommend Matt Groves to anyone looking to improve their overall health.

My experience with Matt has been exceptional over the past couple of years. The personalized instruction has allowed me to learn more about conditioning and how to manage my fitness goals. Others in the gym have been a lot of fun and we help to push each other. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and a great person. Highly recommended.

I have been training with Matt 3X/week for just over 2 years. He has helped me to make some body changes that have greatly improved my life. With Matts help I have lost over 100 lbs and discovered that I love being active. In order to help me reach my goals Matt encouraged me to participate in power lifting meets. With Matts excellent coaching and encouragement I have broken 6 state records over the past 12 months. Matt is a fantastic trainer and coach!

I’ve been working with Matt for several years and feel better now than I did in my 30’s. My 15 year old son started to work with Matt this summer and he is thrilled. He is learning the proper way to work out, maximizing his progress and limiting injury that I so often hear about with young men working out on their own. Highly recommended!

My workouts at The Grove have truly transformed my habits - for the better - towards exercising. I had worked with multiple trainers in the past, private as well as at the big fitness chains, and no earlier experience compares to the rigor, customization, and efficiency that I get from Matt. He is serious, punctual, efficient, and effective. I recommend him HIGHLY to anyone who needs the right expertise to transform their fitness to a higher level.

I’ve been training with Matt twice a week for about 5 months now and I can’t recommend him enough. Matt is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fun to train with. He is patient when he needs to be and knows when to demand more from me. Working with Matt has helped me gain strength and confidence. I have a ton of energy to keep up with my one year old daughter and I am developing the habits to continue to make healthy choices for years to come. I feel great in my body and I feel fortunate to have found Matt!

Matt does a great job tailoring routines to match my ability and selects appropriate exercises to help rehabilitate long term injuries. Hes got a great space that is right sized for small groups. If youre looking for a personal trainer that understands whole body health, hes your guy!

I have worked out with many trainers in my adult like and Matt is by far the best I have worked with. I have worked out with Matt for 2.5 years and made great strides in my physical strength and endurance. I am currently going through an intense chemo regiment and I my body has handled the onslaught, much credit goes to Matt for getting me ready for the battle.

Ive been going to The Grove 2 times a week for about 2 years now. I love the variety of workouts and Matts openness in trying new stretches/lifts when something isnt feeling quite right. By far the best trainer Ive ever had.

I have been working out with Matt for about a year and I can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life. Matt develops a plan based on your needs and works with you to make sure you are meeting your goals. Along with the strength training, Matt is a wealth of knowledge specifically on nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.I have been plagued with lower back issues my entire life--Matt has customized workouts to help relive my pain and strengthen my glutes, core and hamstrings.
