We have now been and Invisible Fence (IF) customer for just over a year. We chose IF because of brand recognition and because our dog would not get buzzed when re-entering our yard. Unfortunately, we have learned the hard way, that just because IF is well known does not mean they provide great customer service. We have had issue after issue and given IF a chance to fix it every time (partially because we now have the wire installed an a lot of money invested, we are stuck!).We know some of this was due to a franchise ownership change - we got caught in the middle with a partially fence trained dog. The new owners did a very nice job of trying to make this right, and I do give them a lot of credit for providing additional training and working with us.However, just a day ago, our dog was shocked inside our home when I was putting his IF collar on - I was too, it went though him to my hands. He made the loudest yell I have ever heard from him. We always put the collar on in this location of our home and have no idea how such a horrible malfunction could occur.I called IF today to schedule a service visit, and I was told the next available would be in 6 weeks! I know everyone is understaffed post COVID, but this kind of issue should not be put off. Further, Im not able to reach the local branch, just a central call line who is staffed with nice people that arent able to truly help address a critical issue like this.I have a dog who is now afraid of any collar and who wont walk near the front door. And I am stuck with a service meant to protect my dog that hurt him. If I could go back in time and pick a different option than IF I would. I recommend anyone looking at this option for their dog get local referrals from recent customers, interview the local service/franchise owners, and make sure they pick the best option for the long-term. I hope our experience is unique, but in this case the most expensive brand didnt live up to our expectations for customer service or for taking care out dog.

Unbelievably terrible customer service. The representative I spoke to asked me to hold the shock collar onto my leg and receive a shock to verify that the system was working. At first I thought this was a joke.The only other option I have with this company now is to wait for three months for a technician to come out. The representative also continually insisted that the correction level was too low when I have seen the system correct my dog effectively in the past. I don’t need my dog to have excessive pain inflicted because the system this company installed only works intermittently.Look into another company or another method of keeping your dog at your home, there are plenty out there that are much less expensive and that treat their customers with respect.

Andy was absolutely incredible: knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. He immediately understood my concerns and took care of them. Then he took Jack, my dog, and ensured that everything was working and Jack understood what would happen at the boundaries. Perfect and complete service - but what can you say about an individual who brings his (well behaved) dog to work :-)

Awesome from start to finish! I have a fence at my house that was installed by the previous owner that I couldnt get working. The staff in the office were friendly, knowledgeable and super responsive to my questions. Mike came out and was amazing! He not only found all of the breaks in the line and repaired them but he also taught me a ton about the system in general! Great first experience with the company!

We installed an invisible fence system about 20 years ago. We have about 4000 cars per day go by our frontage. Our dealer knows this. When our line needs service which about once per year they are very slow at showing-up!............Of late, we had to contact a competitor to receive service. No one ever returned a phone message, and it took 3 days to get a response from an email message. Thus, my wife contacted Hidden Fence, and someone promptly responded to our communication!..............Yes, Invisible Fence has a beautiful web-site. But, beware you may need a system service call some day. I would definitely encourage you to check-out some comparable systems before you buy. You may need to have some return a phone call or email message in a timely manner even if 4000 cars do not pass your home each day!

10+ year customer. Invisible Fence is a dependable and durable product that has worked without failure. The service is excellent - responsive, timely, and professional. The trainers did a great job teaching the fence to my dogs over the years. Kristin, the most descent trainer, got my pup trained with a week. She was compassionate, thoughtful, creative and professional. I recommend the 5 day training package.

We love our Invisible Fence! This has not only been great for our peace of mind, our dogs life has been forever changed by having the entire yard to roam free. No worry about her running away. Our trainer Jessica K. was also fantastic. She has given us so much more than we expected from Invisible Fence. Her guidance is invaluable.

From the initial sales call through the training period, Invisible Fence was excellent. Jennifer who does the training was great. She is very knowledgeable on training dogs - and not just on their product - and very good with my new puppy. She made sure that I understood why the details of the training were important and made sure I was comfortable with continuing the training on my own. I highly recommend this product, and Jennifer!

Bought fence system last year and install and training were great. Called today (tried to get through multiple times last week without success) as fence is down and was told I’d have to wait 6 weeks for service! Completely unacceptable, they used Covid as an excuse to still have the office closed despite the fact that the state is open and numbers are way down. Very disappointed in customer service and wondering what I’m supposed to do now...Edit:Got a call back from local contact the next day and they scheduled repair for the following week. Fence is now fixed. I can’t help but feel that if it had been locally managed from the beginning that there would have been no problems. 5 stars for local crew, upgrading review from 1 to 4.

Wow. Super annoyed and frustrated. We had 3 dogs trained in June and back then the staff was amazing to work with from Kari the scheduler to Erick our trainer. Absolutely loved them. We had to have the power turned up a few times on each dog and they always came out right away.Apparently they changed ownership and its like talking to robots. No customer service whatsoever. I have a Giant Schnauzer who is a protection dog and his power was set when he was a puppy and he now runs through the fence and doesnt care. I called to have the power turned up thinking they would come out the next day but they said they cant get me in until January 6th - 5 weeks.... I talked to a Manager who literally sounded like a robot reading from a text book - not caring that I now have a dog that can run through the fence. We paid a LOT of money to have 3 dogs trained and I have to wait 5 weeks to have someone come out for a 2 minute appointment?? The manager said he would escalate the call and someone else called me back and said they could fit him in in 3 weeks. Not a help. Again a robot. What the heck happened? Was this company taken over by aliens? I dont even know if these new people are even real. I have worked in customer service before and just in shock with how they are handling this - I am pretty sure someone could fit in a 2 minute appointment.Please use any other company than this one. I have 3 friends getting IF this spring and told them to change. These people suck.This is my first negative review I have ever given because I dont consider myself a Karen this one was warranted. I gave them a 1 rating only because I have to put something.

We are first time users of Invisible Fence. Our dogs are older in age-8 and 11. From start to finish it was a great experience beginning with an informative no pressure sales call to a very smooth installation that really wowed me in terms of how quickly it went. Then to cap it off we had an excellent trainer, Jessica. Jessica was very patient with my older dogs and listened to both of their needs as they trained very different from one another. She was a perfect trainer. Our dogs are now much happier and can run about the yard and we are happier owners as well. I would highly recommend and wish we had installed much sooner!

I waited a month and a half to write this review, so Ive had some time to see how great this system is. I couldnt be happier with our Invisible Fence for our cat. Mary helped us pick the right product, Andy did a great install leaving our yard and garage looking very clean and professional, and Steve was a terrific trainer. It felt like a big gamble to get an Invisible Fence for our cat, but they assured us they could train our cat or they would buy it back. After going through the process, the training is a MUST! I wouldnt by a self-installed system online. Steves expertise helped our cat to understand what the correction meant, and the gradual steps made sure that he understood the rules. A month and a half ago we werent sure we could keep our cat. Now we couldnt be happier, and frankly he couldnt either. He has freedom and we arent stressed.

We used Invisible Fence Co. of Minnesota to help with keeping our cat in certain boundaries inside our home. We were skeptical but hopeful as we didnt want out cat to get into rooms where she could chew cords, and we wanted to keep our upstairs allergy-free. Rebecca was our trainer and was awesome. We did 3 sessions, and our cat actually was able to be trained and will now only stay in the places we want her to. It has been great, and we are so glad we called them to help! We also have this system for our dogs for inside and out, and it works great for them, too! Would highly recommend!

Invisible Fence Co. put an invisible fence around our property and trained our puppy in where it is and to stay within the boundaries. It has been a few weeks and we can now let her run freeing the yard. It is so much fun to see her run around the year, she just loves the freedom I wish we had had it for our previous dogs!

We have had Invisible Fence for almost 20 years and it’s been wonderful. It has been the best way for us to enjoy our dogs and to not have to worry about their safety. We now have a trail that is right along our property and we have never had to worry about the dogs leaving. Our trainer for much of that time has been Jennifer and she was great again with our newest edition. She got the new puppy to understand the fence quickly and it’s been Great. This company said they installed my fence and failed to turn it on. They then couldnt schedule with me for THREE MONTHS. Finally, on the day theyre scheduled to visit, I receive an email asking what theyre supposed to come out for and they are still not here at the agreed upon time.Not sure if the other reviews are fake, if ownership changed hands, or what happened with these people but I would STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Jessica Kuehlman - dog trainer extraordinaire! Super knowledgeable and experienced, great sense of humor -- visibly loves dogs and has the best demeanor -- calm, fun, funny and ultra-connected to my dog. He adored her (and not just because she had treats). Ive mentioned her name to several friends who had also worked with her and loved her as well. We already miss having her around! Shes the best.

We used invisible fence for our two dogs. Rebecca did a great job training them! She was patient and professional and both our pups loved her! The fence installation only took about 2 hours and it is working great! We are so glad we went with invisible fence!

We worked with Kristin to train our aging senior dog (13 year old) and puppy (10 months). She was excellent at catering the training to each individual dog needs and helping retrain us as the owners with best practices. Both of our dogs were timid at first but by the 3rd training session, they were following her lead and excited for their next session. She was also very good at working with the sensitivity levels of each dog’s collars. We highly recommend! Kristin is flexible and very service-oriented!

This is our second experience working with Invisible Fence. The first time was 13 years ago. The high quality product and training allowed our pup to enjoy the freedom and safety of the yard for his entire 12+ years. The whole experience was great. They were prompt. The trainer was fantastic with our two large dogs. We are currently in the watch/be with them in the yard phase. Yesterday a deer came into our yard. Both dogs ran at full steam toward the deer. When they got close to the boundary both dogs stopped. To say we are impressed is an understatement.

Invisible Fence has continued to improve their equipment, technology, and training over time. We were first time customers in 2003 and had such a great experience with our first dog that we knew we had to go with Invisible Fence again with our new puppy. We were able to turn in our old equipment for much needed upgraded digital system. The training was much improved starting out with low intensity corrections working up to a guaranteed containment. Our trainer, Jennifer, was absolutely wonderful. She connected right away with our puppy. She created an environment that allowed our fur ball to learn, but also to have fun. Now we can watch our puppy experience the outside without worrying that he will runaway.

We have used Invisible Fence with all of our dogs, including our relatives dogs who have visited....total of 6 dogs now!!!! The Invisible Fence brand is definitely high quality and worth every penny! We originally had you install the fence 20 years ago and it made our lives so much more enjoyable daily. We live on a dirt road next to a nature center and a huge park. Lots of wild life sightings daily. Your product let us leave our doors open and our large male Airedale learned the boundaries from day one. Fast forward he died 7 years ago and we just had Matt come out and update our fence. He explained the training process thoroughly and walked us through the progression we need to follow for our 6 month old puppy. My two small dogs and I LOVE invisible fence! They can finally run around our entire yard and play ball/fetch without being tethered to a leash. The training went well and it only took a couple days for them to learn their boundaries. It really works well and its so nice to let them come outside with me without the hassle of harnesses and leashes that get tangled around the tree or a chair, etc. Love it!

This is my second fence and it works perfect we live right on a road and with training my dog is 100% with it. Also service is awesome Andy has been out to fix a line my landscaper cut and connected wrong. Invisible fence came in one hour. My neighbor has another brand and has lots of issues. We recently purchased the GPS Invisible Fence unit. My wife talked with Kari at the office who was very nice every time on the phone and I worked with Erik at the install. Erik was equally nice. We have had the traditional wired unit at our current house for 10+ years and at our previous house for 10+ years. When it was finally time to upgrade, so our dog can roam all of the land, we chose Invisible Fence because every time we have worked with them they have been very pleasant. We love the product and the people are always easy to work with. They came out immediately, gave us a one hour window for arrival, and Erik even text me when he was on his way. We received a consultation about Invisible Fence roughly a month ago. The consult was extremely informative and we felt the clear decision was to hire them for the install. They were booked out a month but we were given the first available time. The fence was installed quickly and Rebecca promptly came for five days of training with our dog on how to use the fence. Our dog loved Rebecca - it is evident she has a passion for animals and works well with them. Each day she gave us feedback on what he was doing well and ideas on how we could work with our dog to improve his comfort level with the invisible fence. Marilyn Tokach is an amazing trainer. We have moved several times so have had several Invisible Fence trainers. Marilyn is the best. She is thorough, a great problem solver, and helped us to understand better communication strategies. Our dog Mia loves her and quickly responded to her training which can be a challenge for Siberian Huskies that like to run.

I was so happy when I found out that Jennifer was still working for Invisible Fence. She’s the best and has trained every dog in our family. To describe her as a dog whisperer is not an exaggeration. I love watching her cast a spell on her unsuspecting canine pup-ils. Invisible Fence of Minnesota is lucky to have her. I hope the company understands what a valuable asset she is and compensates her accordingly.

We needed an adjustment to our new Puppys Collar and although we were told that it may be a couple of days, they were able to get to our home the same day. Always professional and they do a great job over exceeding expectation.

I admit, at first I was a doubter, but then I met with Andrew Booty from Invisible Fence of MN, and Andy walked me through how it all works and what they do to ensure customer satisfaction. We bought the fence and had it installed. We also used a trainer from Invisible Fence because we wanted to make sure it worked. After 4-5 sessions, both of our dogs were trained. Our youngest dog was less than a year old at the time, and our older dog was approx 6 or 7. Both dogs learned the boundary quickly and stay inside the invisible fence. I am very happy with the purchase we made, and I recommend talking with Andrew if you have any questions.PS, our neighbor saw how it worked for our dogs, and she had the fence installed around her yard too - the product works very well.Ask for Andy!!

Great company and great Trainer Marilyn Tokach. I love my invisible fence. I have 3 dogs and they alllove the freedom they have to explore the yard and I love being able to just open the door and let them out whenever they want to go out. After the training sessions with Marilyn, the dogs were good to go with the fence and have never left the yard.

Very friendly and helpful! I brought in a broken collar receiver that wasnt covered under warranty but was still able to get a new one at lower cost by upgrading to a newer receiver. They could have just sold me a replacement for over 100 dollars more, but provided me with an alternative at a lower cost. It now makes it more likely I will upgrade the transmitter for extra protection for my dogs.

Called regarding a broken fence line and Andrew was at our house within 2 hours. Extremely prompt and a very professional/nice crew. This wasnt the first time weve needed help and always appreciate Invisible Fence for keeping our dogs safe!

After years without it and chasing my dogs, when going to my neighbors or chasing after runners, I can finally relax and know that they will stay in the yard and be safe. We’ve had an excellent experience with Invisible Fence MN since installation 8 months ago. They were very prompt with the initial install, coordinated dog training so it fit my schedule, called to remind me to change collar batteries for my dogs, and even made a same-day trip out here to fix the wire when we accidentally cut it while planting trees. Exceptional company. I highly recommend.

Training took longer than I realized it would take but results are good. Our pup is very aware of the boundaries AND we love the indoor disc that can keep pups or kittens away from areas inside!

We had an issue with one of our collars while at our Lake home. I called Samm and discussed the issue and she suggested we send in the collar for evaluation and in the mean time she would get a new collar set up and mailed to us the same day. She charged our credit card as we agreed that if it was defective she would credit the card back. The collar has a lifetime warranty and failed the evaluation so they promptly reversed the charge. Great service, prompt response and a happy customer. Thanks Samm!!

I have been using Invisible Fence for 34 years with my own pets. It is a quality product. Kari and Kent are right there to help with all your needs whether it is for DIY or you need a service call. I feel bad that the Invisible Fence brand gets lumped in with all the buy in a box brands that are not as good. With IF you are not on your own. Help is only a phone call away. I work in an animal hospital and we have IF collars for our 2 cats and a few of the Shields Gates for rooms we dont want them to go in . We are on the battery program and it is smooth sailing all the way. Thank you Invisible Fence.

I loved working with these guys! The salesmen, installer, and trainer were fantastic! The knew the product and their role inside and out. Our trainer Mark was amazing. I cant thank him enough for his help. Weve had the fence for about months now and I love being able to roam around the yard and play with my pup.

We have nothing but great things to say about the invisible fence. It has helped give our two dogs the freedom to be outside in the yard without a leash and it is all thanks to the amazing work Jessica Kuehlman did to help train them. Jessica was very diligent in her training and helped us understand what our dogs needed.
