Stayed at the campsite. Really clean! Great Wi-Fi though the routers/repeaters are inside the complex. No issues at all. Very convenient location. Definitely will be back 🤙🏽

Visited for a high school football playoff. Open area and clean. Good facilities with concessions. This is obviously setup for baseball as the visitor stands were temporary but all in all an enjoyable experience.

Great night for collegiate Baseball in Bham. The OlHoover Met still has some life in her. Somewhat disappointed w/turnout, but actually worked in our favor...cheap seat tickets & got premium seating, not bad.What has to be corrected is the exit strategy of getting folks out of parking lot after the game. Log jam for almost 30min.Sure hope the Met can keep the SEC in town before more modern facility takes over.

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine here was efficient and safe. Everything was done while I stayed inside my car. There was a station under a tent to be registered. Then I pulled forward into another tent where I was given my vaccine through my car window. Then I pulled forward into well- marked lanes to be monitored by nurses or practitioners for any sign of a reaction. Everyone I was there with had no problem at all. Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who helped make the process easy and comfortable. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Great experience. Hoover does a super job hosting the SEC Baseball Tournament. The Stadium is well suited for college baseball and has great parking facilities which happen to be free (at least for the SEC Tourney). Lots of places to get food and drink. Friendly staffers.

I had to go to the Hoover Met yesterday the 23rd for my vac first vaccine it was great they were so organized it was raining everybody was so nice everything went really quickly it was just a great overall experience everybody was friendly and I was really impressed it didnt take an hour to get there and to leave thank you Hoover mad and all the nurses and the workers and the people who volunteered great job

Very spacious and convenient venue used by UAB for one of their remarkable drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination sites.

My only experience at the Hoover Met is when I went to get a COVID-19 vaccination. This is what I will review..UAB set up a vaccination site at the Hoover Met recently. It is an excellent choice of venue for giving drive-through vaccines. The large parking area is perfect for streaming through cars and lining up cars. It is off any major highway or heavily trafficked roadway. The UAB team have set up several pop-up pavilions wide enough to accommodate cars and UAB team members. The process is very simple and well-organized. I made my appointment through the UAB patient portal website. I noticed that the website made me a second appointment for my second vaccination 3 weeks after my first. Very convenient. I arrived at my appointment time. There were people out directing traffic in the parking lot. At the first pavillion, a UAB team member gathered my name and appointment time, checked my ID, gave me a short form to fill-in and sign, then directed me to pull to the next pavilion, straight ahead. At the second pavilion, a UAB team member collected the form, gave the vaccination and immunization card and directed me to pull ahead to the waiting area. At the waiting area, a UAB team member greeted me, we conversed and they gave me instructions on how to alert them in case I had an adverse reaction to the shot. They made note of the time I received the vaccination and at what time the 15 minute wait period expired. During my wait, a UAB team member check on me verbally no less than 3x, other UAB team members would give me a nod or ask loudly to a group of cars how we were doing. The wait period flew by and I was on my way. From start to end the entire process took less than 45 minutes, probably around 30 minutes. I didnt time it. Overall, they were as well-organized as any Chick-fil-A drive-through and just as nice. Shout-out to the entire UAB team and any volunteers! Yall Rocked It Out! Thank you for your hard work! Because yall cared enough to be there, we are all one-step closer to normal.

I went to get the Covid Vaccine the set up was well organized I arrived at 745am and I was finished and out at 845am.

Revived my 1st covid vaccination there & will return for the 2nd dose. Excellent facility and very organized proffenal friendly staff.

I was a vendor there at one of their shows and their facilities are very nice. Bathroom for clean and they had a food court brainy one that wanted something to eat. Felt very safe there.

Great venue for sporting events and of course gunshows. Facilities are new and everything is in tip-top working order. Cold A/C which is a must in the summer heat and the promoter cares enough about their vendors to run it during show setup day.

Beautiful complex of sports fields with adequate parking, good access and clean restrooms.Big downsides, though:1) Turf. Whoever thought that was a good idea for soccer never played soccer. Turf has higher injury profiles and retains heat. Air temp at player level above turf is about 5-6 degrees hotter than the nearby grass sidelines on a summer Alabama day!2) Almost no cellular signal around the complex. This is dangerous for kids playing outside, dealing with summer lightning storm delays. It is critical teams to be able to communicate among the players / coache / refs / parents. Unable to get updates on SincSports app and our team’s group texting app.Can’t recommend this field for future tournaments for these reasons.

Attended the gun show they had and enjoyed it very much. Had a lot of vendors which made it enjoyable.Everyone was pleasant and very helpful.There was enough police officers present which made you feel very comfortable. A big kudos to the police officers at the event.

Wow, this is a gorgeous and super clean facility. Was here as a vendor. Great staff at the center. Easy to find and good signage leading to it. Free parking. They had plenty of dollies to load in and out. It was one of the easier facilities to load in and out of for vendors.

Very nice complex. It is well run even for large events: plenty of parking assistance; orange cones to provide driving lanes; well marked and lighted parking lot. Entry is quick, efficient, and friendly. Food stalls are busy but that is true for any place. If there is an event here that you want to visit, dont worry about trouble getting to the fun stuff.

Poor food selection and all the way in the back of the venue. As a vendor the load in/out was as poor as Ive ever seen.

I Have attended the SEC baseball tournament at the Met for many years. I must say they do a super job. There is not a bad seat there. The concessions are good and reasonable. All involved are courteous and professional. The parking is free with wonderful people giving directions... Excellent facility. Great family atmosphere. I can’t wait for next year.

Beautiful grounds, clean restrooms and there are even outside activities for the kids (or grown up kids like me). Concessions are pretty nice, but no beer allowed during any college events. Be sure to follow their strict what you can carry in policy.

Lots of free parking, although long walk to stadium. Jim & Nick s booth excellent iced tea, pretty good sandwiches. Clear bag policy. Traffic flows well after a game. Indoor activities for kids - free including a small ferris wheel. For the SEC Baseball Tournament tickets get the Dr Pepper Six Pack. They are general admission, but good view and more shade than the reserved seats. However first-come-first-serve!

Nice and easy to get around

I worked at The Met for 32 Hours starting before the first of the year. I have left message after message. I got someone saying she been out. So if she is out for 3 weeks nobody gonna get paid? 32 hours last day January 9. Is it because I was a homeless Veteran before? Your more than welcome to contact over Facebook since phone call is so hard. I even left messages on voicemail and talking with a person for my supervisor to call or someone. Twice she was there but an event was going to call after...NOPE. Guess events are more important. My power is off its cold. I was hired for security, between 30-40 hr. a week. 6 weeks 32 hours, manual labor.Thanks

Great vaccine injection site

The Met is great!! Definitely recommend it for casual events!NEVER park at the middle school if you plan to leave at the end of an event. It took us over 30 minutes to even make it to the Stadium again, and another 15 to make it to 31. 45 minutes to leave an event of 14k attendees (SEC baseball championship) is unacceptable.

We were there for the SEC Baseball Tournament. Amazing facilities for the whole family. The Fan Zone and Splash Pad are fantastic.

Excellent facility and so easy to navigate. This is our 3 rd time to visit and it never disappoints.

I went to a breakfast meeting here and was impressed with the facility. It’s further off the interstate than i anticipated. I enjoyed it and would recommend it as a venue for all kinds of events!

Did you know that just beyond the Hoover Met is an RV Park? My daughter and her family have been staying there temporarily as they refurbish a home. It is quiet, convenient and has the amenities traveling families are looking for.
