Very clean facility, water was a little cold in the shower, and staff hangs out upfront more than I feel that they should. But all in all its a great gym and the no judgement aura is definitely followed here ! 4.0

Planet Fitness has always done me right. Clean facilities and good staff. Are they a little overboard on all there social justice nonsense...yes? All in all a great place to work out. I highly recommend them.

After our conversation I canceled my membership and will not be returning. My mom and best friends have canceled theirs as well. My brother will be canceling his also as soon as he returns from active duty. Thanks!P.S. I witnessed two of your employees drinking on their lunch break at a nearby restaurant a couple of years ago laughing about how much they and their fellow employees judge all of your patrons especially the fatties despite your slogan of a judgment-free zone. I should have canceled it then, but I didnt. Better late than never I suppose!

Gym is clean, Organized, friendly staff. I switch from 24e health clubs in Pelham.The gym manager, she messed up my contract. My signed contract was for a month to month membership. I did not go a full month. Now there calling me saying I owe them cash money. I said what? Nope speak to the manager that f@ckd up! I wont pay u a dime. The woman manager was to worried about the guys in the gym and hooking up with them. She is in space and needs to be gone or lower position. She is failing 24e fitness. They dont require face masks inside????? Crazy. Not concerened for anyones health

Great gym overall the entire staff is amazing especially the morning crew, they go the extra mile to clean for members to feel safe I love it. One downfall is the right side of treadmills and cardio is dirty and bad it’s everyday it looks like that other than that y’all are amazing!

The short white guy at the front assumed that my husband and I didnt have the black card membership however we both have it so our 13 yr olds can work out with us. I hate the hoover location and frequent the Vestavia location instead. I told my husband before we went I didnt want to go to this location. Once this membership is up I wont renew.

Its a VERY basic gym with basic equipment,not enough stuff for advanced gym goers and people who compete. It serves its purpose for a good basic workout. The staff is very friendly and it is very clean. The ventilation is good and a lot of the members wear mask while they workout so that is a plus!!

Beware of this club and the manager Joe. Im being charged a $39 membership fee for a membership I no longer have. I called and spoke with the manager Joe and explained that I no longer had the membership and asked to have my annual membership dues refunded. He refused and said I would have needed to ask for the cancellation a week prior to its renewal date. Basically a technicality that they put in their membership contract to trick people. A terrible way to treat someone who paid monthly dues and membership fees for over 2 years. I will continue to bad mouth this club to everyone I know.

Moved to Hoover and wanted to change locations. Franchises are separate and couldnt get set up. Joe (who is awesome) helped me out. Several phone calls later we got me take care of. Big thanks to Joe as I got taken care. Professional, above and beyond. Thanks PF family.

The new management and staff have let this place run down!! The A/C is broke. The bathrooms are not clean and the cleaning stations are always empty of paper. Three staff members stand behind the counter and talk all evening when so many things need to be cleaned.

The only person working was a special Lady name TI , She was the only person running this facility that early sunday morning , She was friendly, professional and helped me with all the questions i had . Not once did she say anything negative as far as being the only employee there....as i usually hear at other businesses....Ti is an absolutely amazing employee and i would like to ask the management of this facility to recognize Ti as one of a kind and show her that you appreciate her and are lucky to have her at your facility. Love it! PF in Hoover has gone beyond my expectations! The front desk people are welcoming and approachable! I like that I feel confident in what to do to meet my fitness goals! Love PF! I go on my lunch break from work. Friendly staff, great equipment, hydro massage loungers. Each shower has a private dressing area. They offer free training sessions. Did I mention the hydro massage loungers?

This location is great. The facility is very clean and has everything I need for a good workout. I am giving them 5 stars though because of the front desk staff. I recently visited this location and was having trouble with my membership. The woman at the front desk (I wish I remembered her name) was very helpful. She got everything figured out quickly and I was able to goon with my workout.

Its basically speaking plainly a social club with an entrance/ membership fee. its full of the exact kinda people who you would imagine it would be filled with. neither good nor bad regardless its like high school but with adults. haha.

Going on a couple of years now as a loyal member, this facility remains a remarkably Good place to get a GREAT Workout with diverse full-body exercise routines. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. I wish that it will reopen and revert back to a 24 hour weekday schedule. But there is otherwise more than Ample time and opportunity to get the workout you want and need.

Ive been a member here for 2+ years. Staff always welcomes you upon arriving. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Other gym goers are courteous and often helpful. Highly recommend!

This gym is clean and has a large variety of exercise machines. It’s missing free weight bench press but does offer smith machines and regular dumbbells and benches.

When will you be open 24 hours? or close later, I decided to join you because you are a good gym but anytime fitness beats you at that point many of us work late and we would like you to close later or open 24 hours

My experience at the Planet has been nothing but great. When I joined I was met by Victoria and Blake and they gave me a thorough tour. The judgment free logo is on par. I asked Blake if he knew a couple of the guys that I could meet and ask some questions: I have a shoulder impingement and I met Jonathon through Blake who showed me some muscle strengthening techniques to protect my shoulder. In my 8 months there, Im in the best shape of my life. Blake and his staff have been nothing but supportive.

Free program for teens to workout with parents permission. TEEN CHALLENGE. Easy peasy. Really nice staff.

They are professional, nice and they have all the equipment that I need especially if youre just spending $10 a month, its well worth it!

Upon first joining planet fitness I was excited, I loved the gym, and the staff was great. Well, now that I live in another state, and am no longer in contract, I want to cancel-which you must do in person (at your home gym) or by mail. So, I sent in a letter. But it wasnt certified mail and they have no record of it being there. Corporate is a joke and there are millions of complaints about contract issues, know what youre getting into.

Very Welcoming atmosphere without intimidation. I joined Sept of 2016 and I felt like I fit from day one, the hours are pretty good but I wish they stayed open a little later on weekends at least until 9 pm.

All the front desk people are friendly as well as the manager, Tom. Lots of machines to choose from and the hydromassage chair is a unique experience.

This is my favorite planet fitness location in the Birmingham area. Worth the extra few minutes. For those who dont like it being busy at the gym, it quiets down around 9 pm. Also love the little nook they have for stress and ball workouts.

Its a great place to workout and not overly crowded in the mornings.

The gym is great for lifting and cardio. The hoover location, though always seems they are lacking in the cleaning department. It is humid in the main room and the restrooms are never as clean as the ones on 280. However, the 280 planet fitness, as far as I have seen is always cleaner.

Front desk staff were nice and friendly, but there trainer is unpleasant. Nothing like the trainer at the Homewood location. I signed up for specific classes and when I arrive I was meet at the location area twice. Not only that when I was shown where she was she was doing different classes that I signed up for the specific time. Didn’t act like she cared at all. I will not be coming back to this location! EVER!

The price is unbeatable and the friendly non judgmental atmosphere.

Ive been a member for a year and have always enjoyed every visit. If any equipment is broken they usually fix it within two weeks.My only complaint would be some of the awesome employees they had when I became a member are no longer there! Often there seems to be issues with plumbing in the womens locker room as well; important things like a loose or leaking toilet are patched up instead of replaced.

The people are kind and welcoming. I look forward to going EVERY time!
