After much trouble with a loan application my wife and I went to this branch and found Sharon and all of the staff very helpful. They got us in touch via conference call in a private room with Brian Alford who picked up the ball and made it happen very quickly. This is how things should be handled and we cant say thank you enough to the staff and Brian for showing us why we chose Avadian in the first place. Great job all !

After being with Avadian for several years, even getting friends and family to join, it looks as if Ill no longer be using Avadian for my financial needs. I used to love them, but now after recent events, I dont even feel comfortable with them handling my money. I admit, I fell for a scam and got ripped off, which is a first for me, but for Avadian to say they reviewed the evidence, in which they never asked for considering I have corresponding emails showing I got ripped off, and just automatically ruling in favor of a scam artist is truly to much for me to overcome and stay with them, especially since they bold face lied, I just lost all respect for them, so if youre just looking to open a regular old checking account they may be for you, but if youre looking for someone that looks after their members and actually cares about them....Avadain is not it.....

I was in line to get a cashiers check, but I didnt know the procedure, so the lady directed me to where the transaction tickets were. I completed my ticket request and returned to line. I received my check and was pleased. Two other people were upset at having to stand in line twice, and one did a 1 star review and wanted to show it to the manager. There were a total of 4 customers in the lobby at any time during my visit. They were upset that they had to follow procedure and this branch does not deserve anything less than 5 stars.

This was the first Avadian Credit Union that I received poor customer service. If you want immediate assistance and to be treated equally visit the Meadowbrook(280), Downtown Bham, or the Gardendale branch.

Im having a hard time convincing myself the company even deserves the 1 star at this point.Inconsistency, long wait times in branch as well as drive through, all sorts of hidden fees and now these ATM+ machines. Im definitely closing this account in the next few weeks - just not worth the headache.

It’s understandable that the lobby is closed due to Covid; however, it’s ridiculous to only have ONE person working the drive thru. Spending a hour in the drive thru lane is unacceptable. And to top it all off, their ATM plus does not take cash deposits, despite claiming it does.

Yes, the bad reviews are true. I just spent 40 minutes in the drive thru with 2 cars in front of me. There was a second lane open, but a 40 minute wait is beyond RIDICULOUS. Yes, we are in the middle of a pandemic, but I went through 2 other bank drive thrus prior to visiting Avadian and was in and out under 10 minutes at both banks!! I see Avadian apologizing for the long wait in these reviews, but I also see nothing is being done about it.

Drive through operation is ran terribly. They definitely need to hire some people that are a little more motivated. Will be pulling my account and taking my money elsewhere. Just plain Horrible.

Do not get an account or auto loan from these people!!!!! They have the worst customer service! There are hidden fees everywhere! I asked for a 10 day loan payoff. I paid my car loan off based on the total amount they said was owed, and they called and told me I owe an extra $1000 before I can get my title. It made no sense to me since this wasn’t part of the loan payoff they sent. I emailed and called them only to be passed around with no resolve! Save yourself the trouble and go to a more professional bank! They obviously don’t care about their customers here!

Great place to spend 45 minutes. I get that COVID19 has changed everything but I work at a bank, and the last thing Id ever do is have all THREE of my lanes tied up for 20+ minute per customer. You cant even easily acces the night drop. I had to leave because I cant waste my hour lunch making my car payment.

For some reason, Avadian has a problem with the speed of their drive-thru service. The wait to get to up to a window or tube is ASTRONOMICAL! It was terrible before the virus outbreak, but its even worse now. I have been in line for over 30 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of me. On a couple of occasions I just gave up and bailed out through the cash machine lane.

Nice and easy. In and out. Made my car buying experience at a local dealership a breeze.

By far the worst credit union in the state of Alabama! Highly unprofessional and unethical. Will be closing our accounts Monday morning.

I drove to the Hoover location on a Saturday. I got there at 11:20. I sat in the drive through line for 40 minutes (the bank closed at noon). I kid you not, pulled up to the window at 12 noon, the Teller looked at me and pulled the shade down. I knocked on the window, knocked on the door of the bank but they refused to serve me. Forty minutes in line and didnt get to make my deposit. I complained to the Corporate Office but they did nothing. I moved my bank on Monday.They have great rates, and if you dont have a job or need to do business outside of 10-4, this would be a great bank. Also, they never answer the phones in the bank, so dont bother calling anyone. NOT a customer-oriented bank.

This place is nuts. Do not sign anything without carefully reading it. Hidden charges everywhere. No customer service. Gave them bad review at a different location. They keep telling me they were going to look into fixing it till they went MIA on me.

Bought a car from my daughter who had the car loan from this bank. She finally got the title from them three weeks late, then get this, it comes with someone having written their bank account number at the top of the title. My daughter tried to remove it and of course if you do that the title is altered and invalidated. Tried to talk to someone at the credit union several times --NO ONE EVER calls you back. Our son-in-law had to go there in person to get this work done. And its still not resolved. So were sitting here waiting to get a title that was paid off four weeks ago and cant get the clear title from them.This place has THE poorest customer service I have EVER experience at any financial institution.

They have charged my account several times with hidden fees. Calling them is a waste of time, you just get transferred and no one ever calls you back.
