Love this facility! Very happy with boarding, training and day care. I love the videos they post from everyday day care. My puppy loves to go here. All the staff members are very friendly and responsive. Jocelyn is awesome in training my puppy. I am so glad I decided to go with her!

I cant say enough good things about The Barking Dog in Hooksett. My 1 year old dog loves going here. We started going here in July 2021 for training with Jocelyn, and my dog has grown into quite a gentleman. She knows exactly how to motivate and naturally bring out the best in your dog. She is always responsive to questions and genuinely cares about your training needs. Highly recommend.

The staff at the Barking Dog in Hooksett is absolutely fantastic! My dog has special medication needs and the staff was extremely accommodating and made sure my dog (who has been known to “cheek “ her meds and then spit them out when no one’s looking) took her pills. They definitely went above and beyond to care for my dog. I have used the Barking Dog for years and there’s a reason for that. Kudos to the fantastic staff!

Boarded my cat for the weekend, Ive never boarded a pet and my cat has never boarded before either. Paid extra for a once/day picture and late checkout because I wouldnt be able to make it there before 12:30 checkout. When I checked him in I found out they arent even OPEN 10-3 on the weekends, so Im not sure how a 12:30 checkout would even be possible. But whatever. Got a picture Sat and Sun which was nice for my peace of mind!Went to pick my cat up and asked the person checking us out how my cat was because it was his first time boarding. They didnt answer and cashed me out. Got my cat, left. When I checked my receipt I was charged for the upgrade AND also late checkout. No notes about his weekend, which I know other boarding places include from friends who board elsewhere. Called about the overcharge and that was fixed no problem. But was told they keep notes on boarding but only tell you about it if you ask. But I had asked? And I dont feel like I should have to ask for a quick recap of the weekend when they already make notes about it.Im just not impressed and let down. Overall my experience isnt anything like I thought it would be based on the great reviews The Barking Dog has. I dont know if I would board there again.

An amazing place to have your pet groomed! My golden went in pretty shaggy and came out looking picture perfect!I have also had both pets board here as well and they loved it! The staff took great care of both boys and when I picked them up they were all washed up and full of smiles! So happy I found The Barking Dog 😊

We have been boarding with the Barking Dog in Hooksett for many years. Our experience has always been exceptional. The services are always tailored to meet the needs of each pet and are provided exactly as requested.Drop off and pick up are timely and easy even during these times of employee shortages. Prices are reasonable but most importantly our 4 Legged family members are well taken care of and are returned to us in excellent health and frame of mind.The staff aims to please, is friendly, professional, Caring and responsive.

Through the ups and downs of the COVID-19 pandemic this group of professionals have been my rock. Reliable, trustworthy and friendly. Jocelyns training took Chase in a positive direction. All of the daycare staff, especially the manager, have gone above and beyond for my dog.

We enrolled our recently adopted puppy in Jocelyns Dog Training Class at The Barking Dog in Hooksett. Not only did Jocelyn help develop Willows skills, she trained us (humans) how to work with Willow and provided insight on our pups behavior, manner of learning and best approach to continued training. Jocelyn was quick to provide feedback each day via email, was responsive to our questions and understanding when we required flexibility given a recent move to NH. We HIGHLY recommend Jocelyn - shes fantastic and has a gentle approach to her training method which worked well with our sensitive, sweet and shy pooch. That said, she shared stories regarding other pups that required a more assertive approach. Jocelyn will modify her training method to the one best suited to your pets temperament.

I recently got my very first dog and brought my female bluetick coonhound to see Jocelyn and my dog loved coming every day. She would go in beyond excited to start her fun day. Training is awesome and she came back a completely different dog. The whole staff at the barking dog does such a great job and they are all so friendly and take great care of my dog! Going to be going to this place for a very long time. Highly recommend!

We worked with Jocelyn and her training package and had excellent results! We are a very busy family and this program was designed for us! Having the ability to drop Rosie off to be trained during the days, followed by two one on one training consultations at whatever times we could make work was perfect! She provided the initial leg work as well as a very specific direction/training to follow at home. It is exactly what our family was looking for!

We love everyone at The Barking Dog and her trainer Jocelyn too. Our puppy began going when she was 4 months and was a landshark and loved jumping on people. She was also very timid around other dogs. Jocelyn has been wonderful and walking our 6 month old walks very well on her leash, does not bite, jumps a lot less, is very well behaved and loves other dogs.Thank you to everyone, our girl Izzy loves you guys.

Our dog loves going here. We get helpful reports every days he goes. Hes an energetic pup who likes to rumble and although smaller theyve placed with bigger dogs. This actually has helped him at home. The staff are way more pleasant and trained than at Gail Fishers All Day Dogs other than one employee named Sarah. At the Barking Dog they all can do each job. And they know where to hold the leash...know to turn their back if the dogs jump...and do not reward negative behavior! And the price is so reasonable! Thank you for taking care of Scooby for us!

Weve been taking our black lab Gus here for a few years now and he absolutely loves it. Hes been boarded several times for 2 week periods while were on vacation. He goes to day care pretty frequently. And we recently had him in training with Jocelyn, who was absolutely incredible. In just 3 weeks, our 4 year old Gus had unlearned some very bad habits and learned some excellent ones. Friends and family have immediately noticed the difference. I would highly recommend a session with Jocelyn. Shes truly a dog whisperer. All in all, I couldnt say more good things about The Barking Dog Hooksett. The staff is very kind. Anytime were away, we routinely call to check in and they are always very responsive, which is very comforting. Gus gets so excited any day he gets to go to the Barking Dog to see all his friends. We love TBD!

We recently had our dog finish the barking basics with Jocelyn and in just a few short weeks have already seen a great change in him. We had a lot of issues with him jumping on people, stealing masks, leash pulling and eating random things on the ground. Jocelyn did a great job changing his thought process when it came to being naughty, and also helped my husband and I so much with learning the tools to keep up with him and keep him engaged so he doesnt just resort to doing bad things. He has been a breeze on the leash and we can finally have him just on a collar and not full harness since he really liked escaping those. I fully recommend seeing Jocelyn for training, she also visibly cares about the dogs she trains and gets to know their personalities pretty quickly. Thank you so much, Jocelyn!

I love the Barking Dog in Hooksett. My puppies have been going there since it opened. Never a problem and they are always so excited to be dropped off there to play with their other fur friends.

Such a great experience for the dogs!! Its like going to an inclusive resort, loving attendants following their every move and showing them a super fun time!!

This was the first time I boarded my dog, the staff was wonderful! They gave me many options to choose from but most importantly, got back to me right away to update me on how my dog was doing. They follow strict protocol about Covid and my dog returned happy. It was a wonderful experience for both of us!

Our dog Roman who is just a year old went through Jocelyns dog training program. We did the program where he stays at doggie daycare and received 9 sessions of training and 2 personal one on one lessons with myself and my husband. She is a wonderful trainer, Roman loves her! We will be going back for tune-ups once we fine-tune the basics. We couldnt be happier with what he has learned with Jocelyn. She sends home a training packet, writes daily notes, asks us what we wanted Roman to be trained on in beginning, and was flexible in meeting our schedules for the 1 on 1 lessons. Also, we love doggie daycare and the staff that work over there are wonderful too!

We have a rescue dog that is almost a year now and decided to use a trainer to help us with him. After hearing a few good things about the barking dog training programs we gave them a shot. Jocelyn Guillemette worked with our dog Rocky for 3 weeks and weve seen huge improvements with him. The 1st night we had him he got loose and it took all night trying to find him and bring him home. 2 weeks into training he got loose again and all I had to do was call his name and snap my fingers. He happily came back. This has been a great experience and we would strongly recommend Jocelyn. She trains with positive reinforcement and it works. We look forward to having her work with our dog Finn in the future!

I signed my new puppy up for The Barking Basics Package with Jocelyn. Not only was she super patient with all of my questions, my puppy also left there as a pretty well trained dog! She is patient and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her, so dont hesitate to schedule sessions with your dog! As for the other staff at The Barking Dog, everyone has been pleasant and kind. Im grateful to have found a place like this for our dog!

From the first call I made, to checking my German Shepard out from boarding, all personnel made me feel at ease when leaving her in a new place. We were welcomed by an understanding staff member at drop off! She showed me that she cares for animals, even the jumpy kind! Her smile that she gave my dog let me know she was in good hands. Never ever again.Not only my dog came home with an infection and bleeding looks like he got bit by another dog.The owner never returned our call.His tongue was ripped bleeding two punction wounds on his nose as well.Ruined our weekend away by calling and yelling us he needed she hurt and he did not need surgery.Unprofessional!!

Koda, as Kimi before him, absolutely loves The Barking Dog. We ask him if he wants to go play with his friends and he herds us to the car so we can take him there.The staff at the Barking Dog are all dog lovers and Koda loves them all...especially Jasmine. I haven’t been inside since COVID started but I know it was always clean before. I love watching the daily videos on Facebook and love all the special events they have to keep the dogs engaged.The COVID restrictions such as curb side service are great but unfortunately it does take extra time to drop off and pick up your pup. I’m sure after the restrictions are reduced it will get back to normal.I highly recommend The Barking Dog Hooksett.

I showed up early to pickup my dog after a multi day stay and she smelled like urine.

My dog loves it here ! The employees are so excited to see him when we get there. I’ve used them a few times for weekends and I love Picking him up fresh and clean after a 3 night stay! Super affordable and I love the options they offer on top of the boarding !

My dog just loves it here, they seem to like her too which helps but I’m not sure what I would do without this place! Everyone is nice and accommodating, they call my dog by her name and are always ready for the day ahead. It can’t be easy dealing with so many dogs on a daily basis but they pay attention and know when my dog needs to be put in a different group depending on her mood for that day. And if you get a chance to get some training in with Jocelyn, you wont be disappointed!

They took great care of our dog over the weekend. We bought her 15 minutes of individual play time for an extra $6.We will use them again while on vacation next year. Well priced for the service they provide which is a plus.The woman who checked me in was really unfriendly which the the only reason I rated them 4 stars.Other than that, we had a great experience and our dog was safe and happy which is the most important thing.

Only boarding place Ive found in our area that can accommodate my antisocial girl! They offer 1-on-1 time with a human if your dog cant go to daycare during their stay. She runs right in when she realizes where we are, then comes home tired (and the good kind of dirty) from having fun outside.She broke a tooth there (she chews stuff to escape out of anxiety sometimes, not anyones fault). They not only worked hard to figure out what happened for me but were honest about it. Someone saw her chewing the fence (because she was not just left alone 👍🏻) and stopped her. Ive had that happen elsewhere, and not only did she injure herself worse, they gave me zero information about what happened bc she was unsupervised. The manager at BDH even proposed other things they could try, to help with her anxiety and protect her better next time.The staff is friendly, knowledgable, always happy/available to answer questions, and I feel comfortable that when we leave our baby there she will be well looked after!

My dog has been going to Barking Dog since she was 13 months old, when we adopted her. Shell be 10 this year. She absolutely loves the pool there and the staff is great with her. She gets excited whenever I pull into the parking lot. A happy pup makes me a happy pet owner.

Both of my dogs love them. I have boarded my cats here many times and my dogs twice. Groomers are terrific.

My pups are always treated well here and I know this because they arent scared or intimidated to go into the facility. The staff is always knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. The ONLY reason for the -1 star is I tend to make a years worth of reservations at the beginning of a year and I cannot always count on the reservations being there. I cannot count how many times Ive gone and they dont have the reservation*; Ive gotten into the habit of setting reminders to call 2 weeks out from our stay to make sure its available! * they have always been accommodating and have always found room for us.

Maudie has gone there for day care for years. She is 13 now and does not go as often. She went in for a scrubby/spa day. They were very gentle with her and called when she was done so she could go back home and get her beauty rest. I love how they know all her quirks and likes and dislikes. Very pleased with her care and with her bath.

I’ve taken my 3 y/o yellow lab, Sunny, here for training with Jocelyn. She’s been absolutely wonderful - she has a very calm demeanor and uses positive reinforcement, yummy treats & endless praise in her training. She will also send home a daily report of the day’s progress which is a very thoughtful touch. I would highly recommend her!!!While attending training sessions, I’ve also enrolled Sunny in daycare as well as giving her access to their indoor pool as she adores the water.I couldn’t be happier with Jocelyn’s training & with the care and attention I’ve witnessed from the entire staff.

Quick service with caring staff. Have used this facility for many years and theyve always been great for us and our pets. Have had to use others when they were full and been disappointed but not when they stay here.

Started bringing my 6 month old. Border Collie Mix and we love this place. All the staff members are very attentive and my pup gets so excited when we get there. Great to know that she is getting the socializing she needs and playing with other dogs and humans.

The grooming, boarding and daycare staff at the Barking Dog are AMAZING! My dog has been going there for 13 years. The staff have accommodated his needs at every stage of life. They provide him with love, care, concern and just the right amount of exercise! He usually snores on the car ride home. I HIGHLY recommend them for any and all of your pet needs!

When Tucker is not hanging out with his family, the place he wants to be is at the Barking Dog - Hooksett !! He started going to daycare with them over four years ago, and since then we use them for boarding and grooming. The staff is the best! They are attentive, responsive, and definitely loving.I would highly recommend them and so does TUCKER. Thanks for everything you do.

Excellent training for your dog!

I had to drop off my three Cockapoos for grooming and when I pulled up to the door, someone came out immediately to get my dogs. When I returned to get them, the responsiveness was again immediate. Over the past 20 years, I have boarded my dogs here, taken them to doggie day care, and now grooming. Everyone is always helpful, pleasant and genuinely look happy to be working there. I love this place and so do my dogs...Thank you....

Best way to spend a Saturday afternoon. My only suggestion would be to have a place where the dogs could relieve themselves after a half hour.Dog had a blast !

Great place. Ive been bringing my dogs here for a few years and theyve always seemed to enjoy the time here. I think anyway, I mean they havent said otherwise. In any case, place is clean, staff is friendly, lots of playtime, including with other dogs. Definitely recommend.

Our puppy Lola goes to the Barking Dog for daycare, and she always goes in with a wagging tail - she loves it! The staff is awesome, and seem to genuinely love all the pooches they take care of. I would recommend the Barking Dog Hooksett as a place you can trust to leave your fur baby!

My girl has been going there for three years now and it is still the best day care around. The staff is amazing and it shows when she gets there shes so excited and they have a love for all the animals. Very clean - my dog isnt running in dirt all day (fake grass that is cleaned everyday), they have nice areas for them to play in and they rotate areas so shes not in the same place all day! Love this place! Boarding is #1 too!

When you leave your dogs for the weekend or longer they washboard dog before you pick them up! Thats a win! I know that its a good place because my dog nearly explodes when he realizes that Im briging him there. He loves to swim in their pool.

I am so comfortable leaving Sneakers my 3yr old Golden Doodle at the Barking Dog. He has been going there since he was three months old. He loves going there and enjoys all the wonderful people there. They all truly care about him. He especially loves Trish, Amanda, Ashlee and Meghan, wanting hugs and attention when he first goes in. I cant imagine taking him anywhere else.

The Barking Dog in Hooksett is AMAZING!!! The staff is wonderful and attentive and they all belong in the world of dogs. The groomers are also amazing and weve boarded here twice and our dog was well taken care of with many options and play time. They have so much to offer, not only boarding, day-care, grooming, baths... but also pool time year round. Our dog gets so much energy out shes dead tired when she gets home.

We have been boarding our two dogs here for a little over two years, and this facility is simply excellent. Not only do the dogs stay in clean, welcoming kennels, but every member of the staff truly cares for each pup. We will continue to trust the barking dog with our fur babies for years to come!

They were friendly and very willing to help me. I have an English Bulldog and can be very challenging when clipping his nails. I had been taking him to a Petsmart and after 4 years of going every 2 months to be groomed they told me he was vicious and that they could not clip his nails any more. I told Barking Dog this and they did not hesitate took him and clipped his nail. They said it took two of them but said I could come back with Brutus. He is a sweet dog just his feet hurt.

Staff is professional and knowledgeable. Facility is always super clean. Their prices are fair for the quality you receive. My dog LOVES going here. Wish they would build a barking dog in Concord!

Great place to board your dog. They also offer grooming, pool time, doggy day care and have pet supplies.Very personable staff.They take videos of the dogs while they are in for boarding which is available online if you need to see your dog while being boarded, which is a nice touch.

Free dog bath after boarding for a few days. They just recently extended their Sunday pickup hours which is also convenient. They have a doggie swimming pool with toys. We love watching the YouTube videos they upload when Sammy goes to daycare. He always seems like he had a great time and of course is always EXHAUSTED when we pick him up.

Rated NH best for the last 9 years,I think they would use some donated dog blankets. But, overall wonderful place.

We want our dog to socialize with other dogs so we can go places with our dog, and if he sees another he is fine. So our dog goes once or twice a month for a play date. They put dogs into groups according to size, weight and activity level. He always comes home tired and is happy to go right in when we arrive. We have also boarded there, and happy with them. They are fairly expensive, dont really know how they compare with other places like this, but a day of doggy day care starts around $25 (have packages to save a bit), if you want indoor swim time, a bath, nails, ears cleaned, you will be over $50. Works for us once or twice a month.

I decided to update my review since weve been going there for so long now. Macey has been in daycare and boarding on and off for almost 5 years now and we LOVE this place. Shes always so excited to go and so wonderfully TIRED when she comes home. The staff members checking us in know her on sight, know her name, even know her noises and quirks! Theyve been wonderful to work with and I can travel with peace of mind knowing shes well taken care of.Their nail grinds are also excellent.

We find this place to be great for our 14 year old dog. They know him well since we have boarded him here most of his life. He seems to be well treated.

We have been bringing our Sasha there since she joined our family 2.5 years ago. Theyve been great. Day Care, Boarding, and Grooming...all have been terrific. Staff is friendly and ALWAYS greet me as oh hi Sashas mom, which is kind of cute.There were only two occasions (in 2.5 years!) that required conversations with management. I found them to be engaged, professional, and eager to resolve in a positive manner. What more could you want? Great team, great service. I would and have referred them to friends who want to give their four legged family members the best.

Home away from home for our 4-legged fily member. Clean. Friendly staff. I can get away AND come home to a happy, groomed dog!

I have been taking my dog here for over a year now and they are fantastic! I love that you can buy a package of days and you can use them whenever you need them; they dont expire. Its also really convenient that they can give my dog a bath while she is at day care. All of the employees that I have met are really genuinely nice people and are really good with dogs.

We love everything about The Barking Dog at Hooksett. The management and staff are outstanding.They love our Kookie very much and take very good care of her. Kookie is always excited to board and do daycare with them.We have moved 80 miles away from The Barking Dog at Hooksett but we still take Kookie to them for boarding. My dog loves it there, they are super responsive and helpful, the facility is clean and Ive never had any issues with my dog getting sick or not excited to go inside...My ONLY complaint is the parking/drop off/pick up is a not fun and I had to supplement with another day care during the week if we are short on time.

We are new to the area and boarded our dog here for 4 days in September 2018. Our experience was great. Ruxin seemed like he didnt want to leave, and they gave him a bath free of charge before they sent him home.

This is not a facility where I would recommend bringing a beloved pet to.... The staff is not easy to work with and you get more than a sense that they dont seem to like animals very much or people for that matter. The management was very unprofessional and Yelled at me on the phone because she was forced to call me on her day off and she made that very clear she was calling me on her day off and she wasnt happy because I was trying to get information from them on boarding an additional pet that I had emailed them about almost a week prior and needed to make arrangements because we had previously brought our dogs there. The person I spoke with on the phone said that the only person that could schedule was Trish and I had asked them if there was someone else there that did scheduling because we were getting down to the wire and we needed to have arrangements to board all of them together. Trish then called me on her day off and started right in on me and said How dare you call my staff and scream at them. I did not even get to tell her whether I did or did not scream at them. I can honestly say I did not scream or even yell at anyone. I was calling on my way to work and had them on Bluetooth and I am partially deaf so maybe I sounded louder on the phone to them but I can say I am certainly not a yelling type of person. Unfortunately I was not able to get a word in my defense as she just kept yelling and yelling at me and told me she did not want to board my additional cat and then she said And now that I am thinking about it we dont want your dogs here anymore either!!. She kept yelling and going on so I just had to hang up the phone to end the one sided conversation with her -and I was like What was that? I will honestly say that I dont want someone who has a bad temper like that around my pets. She was pretty scary....

I came here for my Husky many times before he was banned for being a bit too hyper. I came here for day-care, boarding, and obedience class for 6 months before this happened. The people there seemed nice but banning him after 6 months only because he was hyper seems kinda rough to me.

This place couldnt care less about the dogs or their customers. They have an impressive facility but id rather bring bring my dog to someone that actually cares about the dogs. I was 5 minutes late and regardless of my constant calling, knocking at the door, and even laying on my horn, would not answer the door to give me my dog. Someone peeked out of a door inside, made eye contact with me, and then shut the door! Instead they are holding my dog hostage overnight which he will spend in a small pen and fed whatever cheap garbage they buy for dog food. I will NEVER go here again and hope the place is goes out of business due to their piss poor attitude towards peoples pets.
