Worst PT place on Oahu. I have referred patients to the hospitals (both locations) and they never received a call to schedule PT. One referral specifically has been waiting since 8/17/2021. (its now october) Whenever I call the PT clinics (I call them every day now to try and get ahold of someone), Im placed on hold for over 15 mins, and I never am able to ever actually reach anyone.. If you want to actually start PT, I would recommend a different place.

Rehab Hospital of the pacific is really focused and committed to improving patient’s lives by maximizing Patient outcomes. I was suffering with low back pain and sciatica and was treated at rehab with Amazing results! No need for Surgery or for pain medication anymore. My therapist took her time and thoroughly treated me with a comprehensive Physical Therapy plan Tailored specifically for me that included An acupressure or manipulation and exercises. I am pain free now thanks to the amazing Therapist at Rehab Hospital of the Pacific.

My ex boyfriend had a stroke about 11 years ago and ended up at Queens Hospital for only a week then they transferred him to the Rehab of the Pacific. He was there for 6 months and hos whole left side was paralyzed. I went twice a day to see him and got involved with helping them train him to maybe get some or all movement back in his left arm and leg. If you want things to happen you have to have faith and work as hard as youve ever worked for anything in your life. Im surprised that he did listen to what they said and went to therapy everyday even when he was hurting. It helps alot if friends and family help and support them when they get home because he started to get lazy and I was doing everything. I told him if he didnt continue to exercise and see his doctors I wasnt going to help him anymore. Well today he can drive perfect. Walks almost normal without a cane. But will always have a small limp. He just has to go slow. The only problem that didnt go away was from his elbow down it went across his chest and he cant open his hand. Hes come a long way because they kept him going and gave him alot of positive support. He does everything he did before even though he cant use his left arm and hand. He found other ways of doing things. I know for a fact if it wasnt for this a rehab facility he wouldnt be walking or driving. Mahalo and Aloha for the love and support.

Took them almost a month to return my call to schedule my first appointment after leaving them voice messages. Then, its been almost a week and again, no call to schedule my physical therapy appointments. Still waiting... I had to go to their emergency line to speak to someone to finally schedule my appointment the first time.

Shame on you LAWRENE CHAR... you are the worst case manager and I hope to God you will never ever be in the opposite shoe.... first of all, you lack tack, your unprofessional and you are not very reassuring as a social worker for families who are faced with loved ones going thru rehabilitation.... while dealing with you while my loved one was at rehab and needed additional care.... you provided me wrong Information and you gave me the run around... your responses was never clear and you made statements to me like.... ah ... we hope for the best but I cannot guarantee that your loved one will be able to continue therapy... bottom line... if any family gets her.... brace yourself... cause she is... insensitive... ditsy.... and dont know her work!!!! Shape up... if you cant do you job... do something else!!!!!!

Lots of yelling and screaming and cops come! Then I want to leave after a total hip replacement! Doctor claims that I am being used as a scapegoat because after all this is kalihi and not the safest place on the island! The doctor makes me sign a paper while I have had so many pain medications from surgery! Wow! Trying to make me look like a loser by calling straub king st and have me look bad! Wow!!! Very shady people over here! I would never come back to this place! Ever!!!

My husband spent two weeks at Rehab Hospital of the Pacific following a near-fatal stroke. He was medevacd from Hawaii Island to Queens, and after two weeks transferred to RHOP.He is nearly fully recovered physically and mentally - much of which is due to the caring and patient work of the nurses, therapists, doctors, helpers and staff there. Everyone we encountered was friendly, caring and helpful, and we are very grateful. Their hard work helped him gain strength, mobility and cognition - enough to transfer him to Life Care Center of Kona for more intensive therapy. The facility is nice. The cafeteria has short hours (take snacks for evening visits), but the food was pretty good. There are garden areas to sit outside and take a breather. Therapists were eager to answer questions, and to work with me on modifications to make at home and any training I needed. The care coordinator stayed in touch with me when I had to return home, and was very helpful in arranging the transfer to Kona.I would recommend RHOP with confidence.

I am staying here with my dad who recently had a stroke on the big island and I rode with my dad in the air ambulance from Big Island to Honolulu. I am clostraphobic so it was hard doing the flight over but nobody else was able to go with Dad... When we got to Queen’s Medical Center, I ended up having to go outside of the hospital every few hours to get fresh air and walk around. We stayed at Queen’s for a week and then we got transferred to Rehab Hospital of the Pacific. When I tried going to get a late dinner tonight from 7-11 right up the road from the Rehab Hospital, because We had a pretty intense day and past couple weeks and haven’t been eating right, I was told by a really big obese security guard who was sitting by the door playing on his cell phone and eating sunflower seeds, that if I wanna go outside then I have to stay out till morning because they lock the doors at 12am.... I don’t even know if it is legal to lockdown a hospital with patients and their families feeling like and being treated like prisoners while already going through traumatic life changing situations... I asked the staff who told me to ask security to let me in and out but he said he only opens the door for employees of the laboratory.... Unexceptable! To put it nicely... I am so upset and can’t sleep knowing that we could die or could be in great danger, if this building catches on fire because we are Locked In The Hospital like prisoners! This could easily be fixed by giving guests key cards to get in and out after hours or name tags or check id’s at the door... Security sitting down doing nothing but eating and taking up space... Starving Local Boy With Pounding Headache @ Rehab Hospital of the Pacific... Not Necessary & Cafeteria had gross looking food and only a few people came through the whole time I was down there eating breakfast which was also pretty pricey just for a small plate of bacon, eggs, and rice was about $10... I believe the nurses/staff members are over exerting my father by coming in the room so frequently and not timing their visits properly, they are almost constantly harassing him every time he falls asleep there is someone else waking him up and poking and sticking him so often that he ends up being exhausted due to lack of rest which is also a very important part of healing... 1 nurse says my dad can rest now and walks out of the room, and another 1-4 nurses come in and start doing things that the nurse before them should/could have done also... Too much Indians and not enough Chiefs to orchestrate the work flow and oversee what’s going on at all times, there should be a manager/competent individual on the floor 24 hours a day... I have much more to say but now I was just notified that we need to go back to Queen’s because my dad started an infection here, probably from the catheter that they were putting in every other day or from so many patients germs because they all go eat together on one big table.. I gotta go back to Queen’s now and I pray that my Dad will receive good care and get better soon so we can go home...

They treated my quad son horribly, discharged home by MARYBELLE casemanager with less than 24 hours notice, with NO care in place and did not phone in medications to pharmacy, so 48 hours after discharge my son was in an ambulance and is now at Queens hospital. I would say that this place is NOT where you want to send a loved one who is paralyzed.

My BF has TBI (traumatic brain injury) he woke up the day of his appt with a really bad headache. I spoke with Chelsea who said that we were unable to reschedule and would be marked as a NO SHOW. I explained to her the situation and asked if any possible to reschedule because I we cannot predict the night before if he will have a bad headache. She said she would speak with management and never called back. My BF called and they said we could come in late 15 to 30 min. We live in Kahaluu and were not able to make it at that time. Very poor customer service. Im sure there could be some exceptions but they refused

This is a prison, they removed my phone so I couldnt call the police again. An overweight security guard prevented me from leaving, they were worried about re-injury. I was held down to table and my wallet was confiscated. Ask them about the divorce rate of past patients.
