The only reason why I was willing to drive into Waikiki and try this is because they had a $10 sale off of the student massage which brought the price down to $28. Since this is the 3rd month with the special, I have gone 8 times so far, but the last 4 times I have seen Ruri...she is the BEST (ICHIBAN)...I mean seriously...I am so sad that she will be graduating soon and then eventually returning to Japan. I would have been her lifetime client! I always only ask for my neck, shoulders and back and I ask for hard pressure and I seriously dont know how she does it because she is so skinny...but I really feel great and wish I had more time!

I was extremely pleased with not just the professionalism and experience but the culture! My masseuse Ri, was pleasant, respectful, and let me tell you - don’t let her petite frame fool you. She’s got some strong hands! I like my massage pressures strong as I am not exactly a petite person. But Ri found all my knots, even ones I didn’t know I had and she worked them all out.I will be returning and referring other family and friends as well.

My son and I had a massage this morning. As a massage therapist myself, I was amazed with the skill of the students here. I am super picky, and the therapists here were phenomenal. I usually get a 90min or 120min massage monthly where I live. We got a 60min because I didnt want a therapist stuck working on a 12 year old for that long. My son usually tells therapists to apply more pressure, and he only had to ask once and his therapist gave the perfect pressure for him. Most therapists get nervous I guess because he is a child. Highly recommend these amazing students! I was shocked we were able to get in so quickly. Called at 9:15am and received a 10am massage.

Third visit here and the service is great. Although it is a student massage they know what they are doing and do it well. I had the same masseuse for the last two massages and she is very good. Gets all the knots out as well as relaxing all the tension out of me. The first masseuse I had was also very good, so I believe they must all be very well trained and confident in their skills. This was my first time visit and whole body massage in Hawaii. Some of my friends recommended. The student who gave me a massage seemed learned well and stick to the basic. Her massage was good, just need to tell customer what to do next especially for first visit customer like me. I will definitely visit again.

I liked that they were able to fit me in last minute and the price. I normally go to a different school, but they didnt have any availability. I decided to try this one since I kept seeing ads on social media. But I didnt like that I was right next to the door and there was no ac, just a fan shared between two rooms divided by a curtain. The people were great, parking was decent, but I really didnt like the fact that the office door was open. It was so hot and you could hear all the street noise, which made it hard to relax.People are great and professional, but I dont think Id recommend this school to anyone, unless theyre okay with outside noise and the heat.

I started coming here for massages slightly before the pandemic hit. I used to be a member of a massage chain but it was too expensive for me to keep up with. The pricing here is such a great deal which allows me to come once every couple weeks or so..and every massage I’ve had has been great. Nice, quiet little place. Not fancy. But the masseuse was very good. I had no trouble finding it, but could not find the entrance to the Ross parking garage - which is free if you purchase something (Ross is right across the street). I did park in the next door building, and it was $5 for 5 hours, so I didnt have to hurry after my massage. I would have preferred to not use the head rest while face down, but all else was great.

I had the pleasure of working with Azumi - she delivered a wonderful experience with attention to my sore spots and when once or twice it was too much pressure she was responsive and continued on with one of the best massages Ive received in Hawaii so far. Although my first visit was merely for the discounted rate previously, I was extremely satisfied with cleanliness, thorough massage provided and courteous and professional staff. The discounted rate does not take away from the complete massage that was provided. I would still make a massage appointment even without the specials and I definitely will after the specials expire. This is a fantastic deal for a good massage. while Japanese appears to be the first language of everyone here - the staff and students are pleasant and speak English as well. the students are learning lomilomi style massage which is perfect for someone (like me) with some tight muscle groups in my back and legs. please tip your masseuse well! the price is inexpensive because these students are building up their hours for certification and are not earning much from their hard work.

Went in with a female friend. We’re both distance event athletes with moderately stressful lives, so the opportunity for a discounted massage sounded like a good idea. Summary: It was an excellent experience and we‘ll be returning!Long story... After booking online (requires a cc) and receiving a confirmation email a few days ahead, we filled out client pre-screening info online. On massage day we parked at Ross across the street (shopped there after for the 2hour validation).Although the building looked a bit older and in need of renovation, they had good Covid protocols in place along with security. Check-in was fast and we were both pleased that our requests for female MT’s could be accommodated. Both were welcoming and friendly. Before starting, they did temp checks in the hallway and reconfirmed if either of us had any or allergies (because oil would be used). They also confirmed our individual preference for pressure intensity. The massage area was a large room with massage tables sectioned off by curtains. It reminded me of a hospital ER. I could talk to my friend in the section next to me. But, there was local (Hawaiian) music playing to break up the silence. The sheets and floor were clean and there’s a restroom nearby. A bin was set out for clothing which was stored under the table during the massage.Students come and go at massage schools, but I got lucky. It seemed like my MT (Komi?) was much more experienced than a new student, because she identified my tension areas within few minutes and focused on those and the muscles chained to them. The school teaches Lomi Lomi style which is more gentle than the sports massages and deep tissue work I normally get. But, my MT did a great job of mixing lomi lomi in with trigger work. Face down for back, glutes, legs, feet, neck, scalp. Then, she flipped me over for arms and chest and some quad work. Of the 60 minutes, it felt like 40 of it was face down which was great since I mostly needed back work, but I wished that I had a more breathable mask on. Afterwards, she gave me helpful advice on aftercare and stretching. My friend was very happy with the massage she got. We tipped well for the quality and we were happy to have helped the students gain some experience. Great find! We‘ve already booked our next session.

Unbelievable, but in a good way! The clinic has great Covid safety protocols in place and the rooms are very clean, private and secure. On my second visit I was very lucky to have student Hiro-san work on me. He paid special attention to my injured shoulder. His pressure was great- I enjoy strong pressure.He asked what area(s) might be bugging me and he focused on that, however in addition he massaged me from head to toe. It was pure bliss. He was very professional, courteous and friendly. Are you sure he’s not an instructor?! THANK YOU HIRO-san! I can’t wait for my next visit.Update: I went in for ANOTHER visit and got 120 minutes for $65 session. It was wonnnnnderful! He concentrated on my sore areas- and now pain is almost gone! He’s a miracle worker and I wish him great success once he is done with his training. He’s going to be an awesome massage therapist!

I went into my massage session not knowing what to expect for the most part. These are students, and the price is just about half of what other places charge (as the saying goes, you get what you pay for). It might be good, might be bad....maybe somewhere in between.As the vast majority of other folks have been saying however, I was very pleasant surprised. My lomi lomi massage was excellent. Even though the massage was provided by a student, this was one of the *best* massages I have had in a very long time! The student therapist made sure the pressure was on point, and overall I was just so relaxed throughout my 90-minute session. That hour and a half flew by; next time I just might book a full 2 hours.When it was over, I thanked Yuka (I hope I spelled her name correctly), and explained that just a month earlier I had a Thai massage from one of the highest-rated massage businesses in Hawaii....and Yukas massage was still better! Im not exaggerating, thats how much I liked my massage.The only negative I can think of, is that the room is not air-conditioned. So if the sun is out in full force, and humidity is high....it can potentially get very hot (and you have a blanket draped over you too). At arrival, I was pleasantly greeted by the staff. They took all Covid safety precautions seriously. The studio was safe and clean and the patio doors were opened allowing fresh air in. The massage area and tables were thoroughly sanitized.I worked with a student therapist, Yuka. She was very professional, understanding of my therapy needs, and highly skilled. Although I physically appear healthy, I suffer from sciatic nerve pain. I explained my issues and she tailored the massage to fit my needs. Before and throughout the massage, she effectively communicated with me to ensure I had a successful therapeutic experience. I believe Yuka is highly talented and will have a prosperous career in holistic therapy. I give this massage studio five stars.

Great place if youre looking for a good massage at a good price. While it may not be a resort spa, it has a friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Primary language there seems to be Japanese but I didnt have any issue speaking English. Cash only, prices include tax but dont forget a tip as well! They are massage students who are working for hours not money, thats why prices are so low. Overall a great experience for me and my partner. Definitely recommend!
