Love this store! Friendly, well stocked, a lot of natural produce or already prepared meals. Love the local atmosphere!

Visiting as a manager at a different co-op on the mainland I was incredibly impressed by several things: most noticeably the lack of holes on their shelves. Nearly every aisle and department was fully stocked. The staff was friendly in a genuine manner. (Aloha to Norma who was helping out from a neighboring store that day!) The hot bar looked incredibly fresh and staff served it, lowering the risk of cross contamination and other ickiness. Prices were good, really good actually. Prepared foods all looked amazing and produce had a wide selection of interesting items, too. The Wellness and Home goods departments had so many locally made items; from shampoo and soap to cookbooks and jewelry. If I lived in Hawaii I would shop here daily and try to work there, too.

Attractive natural foods grocery store, with self-care products like medicinal items and shampoo. Also has a hot food counter and salad bar, everything of which looks delicious. The kombucha wall is impressive (prices are a bit steep, though this applies to the entire shop). Has some local brands, yay. Lots of different types of chocolate bars.For whatever reason, the receipts are a mile long, which seems a strange and unfortunate use of paper, particularly for a shop like this, with its reputed earth-friendly bent.

I spend a lot of money at down to earth and have frequented all of their locations on Oahu because of the great quality and vegan products. Unfortunately this location sells old deli foods, which is unacceptable given the prices they charge. I guess the rent in kakaako is pretty expensive and they are cutting corners.

My favorite place to get food on this island, probably! Their mock BLT🥪 and vegetarian Hawaiian pizza with faux ham is amazing!!!!There grocery store is also extremely good at promoting local Hawaiian made goods and going package free when possible, they are progressing more and more towards it.I also dont think they sell meat in the store at all or if they do exactly little and very few dairy products too with loads of vegan alternatives.I seriously feel like a kid in a candy store when Im at one of their locations.

Fantastic buffet, sandwiches, burgers & pizzas all catered to healthy eaters, vegetarians & vegans. Groceries. Vitamins & supplements too.

Everything you might need or want , if your into organic foods. The store itself is very clean , the selves are fully stocked and in order you might be a little surprised upon entering this business establishment, I was.The employees that worked their are very of customers entering this business and are eager to assist you, to make your shopping experience a delightful one.

I first visited here with my brother because he was looking for food products that were clean and less processed/artificial. The main things I like to buy here are chips, milk alternative, and yogurt. The only thing I didnt like was the selection of food products because its mainly focused on vegan/vegetarian.

Kakaako locationWe got extremely sick from the 16” Greek pizza. We think it was the cheese. Looking back, there was a slight odor- so please check before consuming. You might write it off as it just smelling like cheese, but don’t take the chance.The manager did address our concerns.

I will never shop at that store again. I’m very disappointed in the cashier Hannah. I came into the store and I didn’t have very much money and I asked her to do a split charge for two cards and instead of taking the time to fix the mistake she made after charging my card and then telling me that I just didn’t have money on my card She then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing that she could do and that I just needed to call my bank to see why there was no money on my card and took the cash I gave her........ after I left the store disgruntled with my money still in her possession, I checked my balance on my card and apparently after they had completely canceled the order the money went back on my card but she showed me how lazy she was. I went back in the store and cussed her out and told her that every single time that I come in I’m always shamed for being poor and I work very hard and I spend my money on organic food and nobody likes being looked at different because They don’t have money like some people do. Oh and Chad SUCKS too cause I tried applying there For a job and he told me that they were hiring and everything and the next day when I show up with my application Info ready to be Turned in I was with my husband and he said after seeing that I was with someone that they suddenly were not hiring anymore ... love Leslie!

I use to love to come to this place after surfing Bowls and eat the veg pizza abut recently they block WiFi to the customers which I think is bad! Can’t chill with my tablet anymore. Please give a code or something

Locally owned organic store. Easy to find vegetarian and vegan products. Prepared food is great as well. I like their red tag sales, too. I only wish they didn’t use plastic containers as much.

Theres not much to say about the products themselves, because at this point Down to Earth is already known for carrying high quality items. My main gripes about this store are the unfriendliness of the staff and the lack of inventory of certain items.First and foremost, the staff here never seem to smile. Literally every time I come here, the staff look like theyd much rather be somewhere else. The several times Ive asked questions, they look at me like Im a huge bother.Secondly, they are always out of the 2 things I come here to get- psyllium husks and bakers wheat bran. Thats not necessarily the stores fault if those 2 things are popular and sell out quickly; nonetheless its annoying to come to this store just for those items and head out empty-handed every time. Only once did I walk out with the things I intended to buy.This is in huge contrast to the older store on King street. When I walk in, Im always greeted with a smile. When I ask questions, they sincerely desire to help, and they have the products that I want to buy!While the Kakaako location is a bit closer to home, Ill just default to the Honolulu location from here on out.

The store is really nice! I phoned in an order for the Mediterranean Panini from the deli and it was ok. It was really saturated with olive oil and too salty. Checking out was disorganized. People can’t form a line. They have an app which might be better than calling in orders. I’ll try the pizzza bar next

I love this new location. Everything is so easy to find. And they have wonderful items. Some of which are from & made in Hawaii. And lets not forget the ready-made food. The salad bar is probably the freshest I ever seen. And the hot items not only looks good, but tastes really good. So hard to decide !

I was told the pizza here is good. It is not. I received 2 undercooked, tasteless slips which the vegan cheese slid right off of. Pathetic.The Earth burger wasnt half bad, though.

They have a good selection of healthy organic food. It is basically a vegan supermarket complete with a hot food bar, made-to-order smoothies, hot pizza, fresh produce, health and beauty supplies and much more! The only thing is some of the prices are expensive but you get what you pay for. Everything here is of superb quality.

Free 2 hour covered parking with validation. Great grocery store for healthy and organic. Hot food bar and eat in restaurant area. In and outdoor seating. Very pleasant and quiet area. You can walk around the neighborhood too. Cant go wrong with Down To Earth.

Great place for a quick bite. Coffee bar with basic selections. Vegetarian food bar with hot and fresh choices. Plenty of refrigerated drinks like kombucha. Tasty vegetarian food. And delicious cookies and other desserts.

2 hour parking in their covered parking lot. The black bean burger was pretty good with the sauce and sprouts. They can make it spicy if you ask. :P

It was my first time eating there. Honestly, if it wasnt for my friend who invited me to meet him there, I probably would never think about having lunch there. I had the salad and hot items bar. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food. The countertop was kept clean and the staff was pleasant. It was a good experience for me.

Im always unimpressed by the produce selection here and its really disappointing for an organic and natural foods store. Yes, they do have a lot of other great products and the hot bar/deli counter food is pretty good but Ive never been able to get everything I need here whenever I go. The prices are a little high too as expected but at least they validate parking for up to 2 hours with your purchase.

This DTE is pretty big and has almost anything that the other ones carry, and more. Hot food bar is good, but expensive. Nice eating area inside.

Down to Earth is always great! They have the best vegetarian food buffet! You pay by weight. They also have a lot of different brands and types of healthy products and food. The sweets they offer are also very delicious! DTE is expensive, sadly you have to pay to keep chemicals out of your food but they also have really good sales.

Organic Store. Could Use Cosmics Pure Herbal Wines and Wine Coolers and Teas

Such a blessing to have this market open within walking distance of my house! Prices can be steep on certain things, but we do live in the middle of the ocean, with a high cost of living so thats our reality.This is a truly quality market, which carries quality foods and employs wonderful and friendly staff. They also regularly have amazing deals so it pays to be a savvy shopper. Parking and getting into and out of the store is also easier and more pleasant than the behemoth down the street (which does have its own pros as well).The salad bar and hot food bar have a great variety, including some of my new, craveable favorites. The made to order smoothies, juices, sandwiches, wraps, bowls and more are delicious and nutritious, as well as reasonably and fairly priced. It feels really good to eat here and they have free WiFi. A terrific addition to this neighborhood! Thank you!!🌈💗

Sincerely need to teach the deli what a lettuce wrap is and how to wrap one. I was stoked to try this place but very disappointed. My lettuce wrap was constructed thr same as you would bread and didnt use the parchment paper to even hold it together... I couldnt eat it without making a huge mess. Like the concept of the place though..

Come late and the food will be highly discounted. Dont worry about what you pick cause all they have is quite good.

They have a good selection of prepared food on the hot bar including soups. Salad and sandwich bar looks well stocked. Groceries, produce, pharmaceuticals and accessories such as water bottles, purses, etc.

Terrible parking arrangement, I went in and could not find what I needed, unlike the King Street location you have to pay for parking. Ther is a 15 minute grace period, which is not enough time to look for parkng,, walk to the store, look for what you need, then get back to the car. I asked fir a validation and they said you have to spend $5 to get one. Upon leaving, I was charged $3 for being there a little over the 15 minute grace period. Go to King Street, they had what I needed without having to pay for parking.

Their product line may be narrower than Whole Foods but its more focused on healthy food; organics and super foods. One product we really like that demonstrates the difference is Nancys Yogurt. Its the only place we know where you can buy it. It is the only Yogurt that is pure yogurt. Its the only yogurt that says how many - 50 billion live probiotic cultures per serving, and it’s always free of thickeners, pectins, and cane sugars.

This place is like the original health food store. Salad bar is super solid. Tons of vitamins and fun drinks.

Ok so Ive been to all of the Down to Earth stores on the island. This is definitely one of my favorite stores! I love how the store is laid out and how spacious the store is. This store is located in Keauhou Lane. There is a public parking lot and you can get 1 hour free validation. This is a pretty big store compared to their other stores so you will definitely take that hour.They have tons of local produce and lots of products to choose from. I can easily spend an hour looking at all the different products. Who knew healthy and being vegetarian could be so fun??? Straight from their website:All the products sold in Down to Earth stores are 100% vegetarian. Their products contain no ingredients from slaughtered animals or that are tested on animals. There are a lot of items so the store feels cramped and crowded. It was close to closing and not very crowded but if there was a shopper with a cart they blocked the whole aisle and individuals are able to squeeze by but not another cart.
