Highly recommend Tony Kim and his outstanding staff. I had a tooth that was bothering me - but being a busy person - I put off fixing it until it demanded my attention. Dr. Kim was able to fit me in quickly for X-rays, cleaning and tooth repair. The cavity was severe. Other dentists I’ve seen probably would have jumped to a costly and painful repair (root canal) but not Dr. Kim. He said he’d do his best to repair it. He and his staff were very kind and attentive. I’ve had horrible experiences with other dentists in the past and I can honestly say that he has gained my trust and continued patronage. Days after the repair I’m happy to report that my tooth looks and feels great! The entire experience was efficient, gentle and professional. There’s even secured parking and a clean, spa-like waiting room. I highly recommend Tony Kim and his diligent staff. I’ll see you there!

Came here to have a post and new crown done on my molar.I am extremely afraid and hate going to the dentist because of past experiences with other dentists. I’m glad my wife found this place. From the moment I walked in the office the staff was friendly and make me feel comfortable.The treatment was surprisingly painless. I am extremely grateful for the work and the carefrom Dr. Kim and his staff. The removal of mercury fillings can be hazardous for the patient but Dr. Kim is trained and equipped to do it safely. I know, because he’s done it for me. This is the best dentist experience I have ever had in my life!

Thank God for Dr. Kim and his amazing staff!!! I was referred by my naturopath to see Dr. Kim to remove my mercury fillings. Because there is a safe way to remove them she only trusted Dr. Kim to do it the right way.I also told Dr. Kim that I was suffering with TMJ and had seen 2 other dentists prior to seeing him. I pretty much had given up the notion that a dentist could help me and I was resigned to the fact that I would be in pain every time I chewed! I absolutely love Dr. Kim and his amazing staff. Along with himself, Gigi and Soledad the three of them together making coming to their office a pleasant one. Full of laughter and smiles, seeing them really never gets old. What I believe makes their office different from others is the chemistry that they all have between them which makes working with each other much easier and patients really notice that.Ive had my fair share of doctors and Dr. Kim really goes above an beyond to explain to you your treatment of care. Many times Ive sat in that dental chair, had work done, and after everything was completed was sent on my way. But with Dr. Kim he stopped numerous times throughout every procedure checking in on me making sure I was okay, and at the end of it all he explained everything that he did that day making sure I understood what was done and what needs to happen from there.

Amazing dentist! What I love most about Dr. Kim is that he involves me in the decision making process of all procedures, allowing me to feel more informed and in control of my care. Ive had several crowns made, a tooth extraction and a subsequent dental implant. They all look and feel great! Though Ive never needed them personally, my brother tells me that Dr. Kim does a really good job with veneers too. Not only that, I have never experienced a more painless dental experience than at this office. I definitely feel comfortable bringing my family and recommending my friends to this office. Great job Dr. Kim!!!

As a naturopathic physician, I refer many of my patients to see Dr. Kim for safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings and for an excellent biological dentist who truly cares about them. I see Dr. Kim myself as a patient and once I even received a foot massage while getting a dental cleaning, what a treat!

You only get one set of teeth (two if you include your baby set), but my point is you must take care of them! What I appreciate the most about Dr. Kim is his holistic approach. Before suggesting any type of operation or procedure, he thoroughly inspects your mouth and gives suggestions on how YOU would like to approach things. His staff is super friendly and attentive. Ive been to a several dental offices on island and his location is definitely the cleanest and Dr. Kim is very knowledgable. Come prepared with questions (or concerns) and hell dive deep with you to settle all your worries.

I just had my first Wisdom tooth taken out by Dr. Kim. They took time to make sure I was comfortable, and Jayvee took extra care to make sure I didnt feel any pain....She is so nice and sweet. Who loves dentists? Certainly, I didn’t, growing up, and up until I landed at Dr. Kim’s dental chair. I was in pain, desperately in search of relief & solutions. Since I didn’t like dentists & feared them, I never ask, never questioned procedures, heck, most dentists don’t go out of their way to tell you their game plan anyway, discuss long term effects, etc. My prejudice about dentists slowly turned a 360° After a series of consults with Dr. Kim. He was very patient with me, took time to explain options and knows very well that the teeth is very much connected to the rest of the body and its symptoms of pain may reflect the overall health of the person. His practice is holistic and is knowledgeable as well on topics such as food, effective probiotics, chiropractic care, etc! His staff is very caring & friendly, we feel welcomed and at home each visit. You will never feel hurried, that you gotta get out the door even when there are patients waiting to be seen.I live in Makakilo but I travel thru H-1 traffic to get (to Kahala) dental care from Dr. Kim. When I wanted a dentist that is holistic, but also up do date on medical and science standards ( I work in the medical field ) I looked at a few websites before deciding on Dr Kim. Such a nice guy, and definitely knowledgeable with safe dental techniques. I feel so much better now that I have a dentist that I can trust is using only safe techniques and materials.

I recently had a dental implant and sinus lift done on me. I was very surprised that it was not painful because it sounded scary. I can eat anything I want on the tooth and it looks just like my other teeth. Youll love Jayvee who is the office manager who is so sweet and helpful. You can tell she really cares about you and does her best to make things comfortable for you. Oh, and Dr. Kim is nice too LOL! In all seriousness, Dr. Kim did a great job explaining everything and he made sure I was not in pain. Now I need to ask him about getting porcelain veneers because I know hes also a cosmetic dentist. Being a Dr. Kim’s patient for about 10 years until his move to Honolulu, I started missing him already.Dr. Kim is a highly devoted and tireless professional, always looking for better ways to serve his patients. He has passion in his profession: he seems to attend all cosmetic dentistry and dental implant related regional and national conferences, and he is quick to take advantage of the state-of-the-art dental machines and equipments, for example he has used digital x-rays, digital cameras, 3D crown making machines, and maybe more.Dr. Kim performed a ceramic crown on one of my lower front teeth and a 3-D crown on one of the molars. He was so meticulous about matching the color of the crowns with the neighboring teeth, so I didn’t have to worry about it. The cosmetic result, of course, was great. The 3-D crown procedure took only about an hour and I never had to go back to him for any rework on it.He is also very much interested in patients’ general health as it is related to dental problems. He is integrating holistic approach into his dental practice. I was involved in vitamin and health food retail business for twelve years, and so I can tell you that Dr. Kim could help you on some dental or related health problems from the holistic point of view. He was the first doctor who led me and my wife to the awareness of our mild suffering from sleep apnea. We followed his instructions and used the sleep apnea device he provided to us and our sleep is much more peaceful and quiet these days.About half a year before he left for Hawaii, Dr. Kim observed in my mouth x-rays something suspected of root canal. I think he could have treated it; however, he sent me to an endodontic specialist, saying that I could be served better by an endodontic specialist. This shows Dr. Kim’s integrity as a true professional.I believe many of Dr. Kim’s new patients in Hawaii will have the same experience I did.
