I saw Yumi for the first time about 6 years ago. I went to her for some chronic pain I had in my leg, caused by nerve damage during surgery. She helped me a lot then (six years later the pain has never returned) but she also helped me overcome an eating disorder I was trying desperately to kick. I never would have sought acupuncture for an eating disorder but she had me tell her about different aspects of me and when that came up she asked if I would mind her helping me with it. She does acupuncture well, but she also heals in other ways like her Mayan massage. I moved away 5 years ago and I had brain surgery two years ago and have had sciatic pain ever since the surgery. I came home a few months ago to have my baby at home in the islands and asked Yumi to treat my sciatica. Acupuncture helped minimally so she asked to try Mayan massage. It has worked better than anything else I’ve tried so far! I saw that she has no reviews on here and so wanted to share a little something about my experience with her in hopes that I may help someone out there find a very skilled acupuncturist. She’s extremely professional and knowledgeable, as well as personable and flexible. Whatever your ailment is and whatever the source, give her a try and you really won’t regret it.
