Dr. Efe is a wonderful doctor. He’s kind, considerate, and really wants to help you. He’s very thorough and puts you at ease right away. He has a wonderful bedside manner as well. I highly recommend him and his business.

I was looking for a GP that listened and I finally found one. Not only were all my concerns heard but Dr. Sahinoglu pointed out places of psoriasis I had not noticed. I asked for blood work to be done and I was sent that day for it. He makes sure I am comfortable at all my visits and response to me in a timely manner. I would 100% recommend him to anyone in the Birmingham area.

Having been treated by Dr. Efe for some time, I am amazed at the difference in my health that he has made. I find that the office is clean, well-lit, COVID safe and appointments staggered to avoid the need for undue contact with others every time I visit. Ive had a fantastic experience with Dr. Efe at Birmingham Direct Primary Care. In our initial meeting (which was almost 2 hours long), he really took the time to get to know me, and understand all my issues. Hes helped tremendously with achieving some health goals, and the (thankfully) few times Ive emailed him with emergent issues, hes replied promptly, addressing the issues, and given suggestions (both lifestyle changes and medical interventions) that have solved the problems. I first got Primary Care because my job needed physical proof I was sick. I was tired of spending so much at the doc in the box just to get a piece of paper & some antibiotics. Then to have the doctors not even care about me.Best decision I ever made for my health.Not only am I able to get well from a simple cold. Im able to go to them when my shoulder starts hurting from a wreck awhile back. Or when my TMJ flares up.I was also able to save $900 when I went to them to have my IUD removed instead of an OBGYN. They even helped me find a way to apply for another free IUD.I can get my medications in office or have them called in to my pharmacy of choice.Ive never had to wait to be seen either. I basically walk in & walk right to a room.Always super friendly & listens to meIve been going to them since spring of 2019. highly recommend

The three reasons I hate going to the doctor: 1- waiting for the doctor to see you, 2- only getting about 10 minutes to actually speak with you, 3-not knowing if the doctor is really listening to you.NONE of these things occur at DPC. There is no unnecessary waiting and Dr. Sahinoglu spends as long as it takes and likes to take the time to get to know you. He takes an honest interest in his patients and unbelievably, he gives medications to his patients at the same price he can order them for, meaning buying from him is far often cheaper than insurance. There is no doubt that he goes above and beyond. He doesnt forget about you after you leave. He does additional research and follows up with articles via email or text. To find a doctor with his skill, talent and passion for helping patients is unfortunately very rare in my experience, and anyone would be lucky to make him their physician.

He takes whatever time is necessary to answer all your questions.If you make an appointment there is almost no waiting to see him. What a change from most doctors offices.

I was doing some research looking for another primary doctor and I lucked up on Dr.Efe and saw that it was like a membership for $75 a month which was cheaper than most of the insurance plans I was looking at. My first appointment he got to know me so personally never felt rushed or anything. It was just a different experience no waiting and he has his own pharmacy in the office so if youre needing meds he can get u started quickly on whatever meds are needed. He truly does care and offers great advice and gives that friend vibe but very professional at the same time, you get so much access as well i email him about certain things all tge time and hes very timely with his replies. Ive been with him now for 6 months and its been a great experience for me and looking forward to a long doctor patient relationship with him.

This is quality healthcare that all deserve. For my first visit with Dr. Efe, he visited with me to get to know me as a person.. Trust was developed very quickly from this personal interaction. The importance of knowing / understanding a patient is essential to good quality healthcare. Its not always about labs numbers and the number of patients seen in a day ... its about the QUALITY of care and that takes time. Dr. Efe understands this and works with me so that I am comfortable and understand the direction of my healthcare. I have been able to text him and see him with in an hour. I am able to text him and get advice. I get labs drawn and Dr. Efe contacts me the same day via telephone with the results. My ENT doctor recommended Dr. Efe Sahinoglu at Birmingham Direct Primary Care to me. I was facing some very serious health issues and when I contacted Dr. Sahinoglu he understood and let me know that he could handle my primary care and would work with my other medical specialists as needed. That in itself was a great relief. My experience with Dr. Sahinoglu has been great and free from all the problems associated with a traditional medical practice. Finally, a doctor who listens and that I am comfortable talking to. I dont feel rushed during my office visit or on the phone. He responds quickly by phone, text and email. He even sent an email just to ask how I was doing. Blood tests and medications are very low cost and affordable. Dr. Sahinoglu is a competent, professional and compassionate physician. I only wish I had found his practice sooner.

I have been with DPC and Doctor Efe for over a year and a half and I can’t say enough about his caring and wanting to get to the health problem issues with me ! After 12 years of having breathing issues Dr. Efe was the only one who said we are going to find out what’s causing this problem , come to find out I had been misdiagnosed!!! Dr. Efe found me a reasonable fee Pulmonologist and she let us know what and why and got me financial help getting the medicine I needed to breathe better ! His office usually gets you in to see him the day you call , and he always takes time to go througheverything with you , never rushed ! I have been a member of Birmingham Direct Primary care for several months and I have been more than happy with their services. As a realtor, fairly priced health insurance is hard to come by. You pay month to month for a price of 79$. You cannot beat it. I have found this concierge style of health care to be a great option for me. Dr. Efe is always a text or call away and gets back with to me quickly. The staff, facility, and level of healthcare are quality and has an individual approach to it. I feel doc knows me personally. This is a practical way to see a doctor, which is really appealing to me as a self employed guy. I highly recommend Dr. Efe and his practice, as they have much to offer! If you struggle with insurance, or need a general doctor , these are your guys!

What a great experience! Completely different from a traditional doctor visit where you wait forever to get sent to an exam room, wait some more before seeing the doctor, and then spend less than 5 minutes with him / her! At Birmingham Direct Primary Care, it’s the polar opposite. No waiting...you’re back in the exam room and seen by Dr. Sahingolu immediately! That’s followed by a thorough exam by Dr. Sahingolu who asks questions and truly listens! And then you can get your prescriptions filled right there in his office at a fraction of the cost of going to the pharmacy saving you both time and money! What’s not to like!

Great visit with Dr. Efe. I feel like he’s going to be a fantastic provider based of his attention to what I had to say, detailed questions and length of visit. I definitely didn’t feel like I was rushed like I do at every other doctor’s office.

Dont know where to start. I didnt actually see Dr. Efe, but my moms friend was visiting and developed a weird swelling around her lips. I said she should go to the ER. No problem, she said she could text her doctor. TEXT him. Which she proceded to do. In about 20 minutes he texted back. Then they talked on the phone. THEN did a FaceTime so he could get a better look. He had her medication list in front of him and said he thought it was a reaction to her blood pressure medicines, and told her right there what to do over video chat. Her friend then introduced all of us to Dr. Efe, who was really cool about it. I think she saved a few hundred dollars in an ER visit right there. I said I wished I had a doctor that did that, and he texted my moms friend a link to show similar practices in my area! for me!! The monthly fee for Dr. Efe isnt much more than it would cost me to see my own doctor WITH my insurance. Ive already made an appointment to see another DPC doctor near me! Anyway I cant say enough about Dr. Efe, and my mom is even signing up with him

Had to be seen AGAIN this morning bc my ear infection and sinus infections still havent cleared up. This was my first time seeing Dr. Sahinoglu (aka Dr. Efe) but it was a great experience!If you dont have any health insurance google direct primary care in your area. Its a monthly membership fee and no copays or extra money for office visits. You get unlimited visits and they have an inhouse pharmacy so the prescriptions are just a few dollars. They do wellness visits, sick visits, pap smears and all sorts of things. Plus if you have to have things done with an outside entity like blood draw labs its cheap. For example im going next week to get my sugar levels and thyroid tested and some other stuff and its less than $15. And my prescriptions he gave me today (Z pack, a nasal spray, and some steroid pills) were all just $9!!!! I spent $65 on meds last week that the urgent care gave me plus $175 to be seen. I could have saved $170!!!!The Direct Primary Care (DPC) concept is awesome and is designed to keep costs down for the patients and allows doctors to spend as much time with patients as they want to and not be dictated to about how they will treat patients.
