To anyone reading the one-star review and comments submitted by a person named William Payton, please be advised that this is a complete fake review. William Payton is likely a friend or relative of a client that I saw one time approximately 10 years ago. The client had no history with me but appeared to be therapist shopping to get a therapist to send a report to her employer to support her being off work. I recommended that she visit her primary care physician due to the medical nature of her request. She was not pleased with this recommendation, and likely encouraged William Payton to write a fake review. After tracking William Payton down, he initially blocked my contact. I then contacted him via another source with a stern warning to him about the fake report. It was then that he denied knowledge of posting the fake report. Despite his denial, my research, which identified his address in South Holland, Illinois, clearly identified him as the person who posted the rating. So please disregard this totally fake rating.

Dr. Joe Mardis was very unprofessional, I was referred to him by my employer and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. For starters, he never returns calls nor responds to messages. He does not get back to you in a timely manner. It took over 6 months for him to send in my disability paperwork to my employer and when he finally sent It in it was partially completed which resulted in my termination from my employer and made a very stressful situation even worse. I begged and pleaded with him to send in my paperwork on multiple occasions and he agreed he would but he never did. He ruined my life. Please be weary of visiting this doctor.
