I have been trying to change my appointment that is august 25th and no ones calls me back

My husband had a wonderful first visit with Dr. Barrera.. Very knowledgeable, down to earth, with a nice staff.. he lowered his insulin intake.. hubby is feeling better..

My husband and I visited Dr. Barrera for the first time yesterday. He spent a lot of time with us, explaining things with easy to understand answers, replete with little squiggly drawings. He was very down to earth and funny.

Best doctor my experience has been very favorable my sugar is getting better and in better control which is very difficult because of renal failure and other conditions i am very happy and grateful ti doctor Barrera, he listens and care for you .

I was hoping that everyone else who rated this doctor and his office with one star had just had a bad day but yes, they were right to have rated the one star. Its unfortunate but this doctor does not at all seem passionate about his work or truly concerned about his patients. Lets start with the overall function of the office. My appointment was scheduled for 2 pm. Based uponumy experience with all South Florida doctors offices, I didnt bother arriving as early as possible. I walked in at 1:58 pm, right on time, to see a away at lunch sign posted. So I sign my name on the clipboard and have a seat wondering why theyd schedule my appointment during their lunch hour. But okay, Im a patient person so I sat and waited for 20 minutes before they returned and began calling patients to the back. My appointment was scheduled for 2 pm. I did not see him until 3:50 pm. Now, when I did speak with him, he seemed irritated as if my going to him was an inconvenience for him. I explained my concerns with difficulty with weight loss and pcos and he began challenging my diagnosis with pcos as if I diagnosed myself by refuting every piece of information I offered him. I maintained my composure well with yes sirs and no sirs but was never returned the consideration. I waited almost 2 hours just to be challenged by this man about my medical history. I do not at all recommend this doctor.

Rude staff and doctor (if you want to call him that.) What a waste of my 2 1/2 hrs.

I came with my grandma and the service was so bad that if he is the only dr available i rather die.

Ive been his patient for 6 years. I have had nothing but great care from him and his office staff. He is not always on schedule but that is because he takes his time with each patient to provide the best quality care.

This doctor has issues. He is mean and I told him about it but unfortunately he is the only doctor in homestead that is close by :(

Worst Doctor i ever met.he is very rude and very mean.treats the staff and patients like crap.i never seen a cranky man like this so called Professional.every time my appointment was coming up, i will get depressed knowing i had to see this cranky whacko.he treats you like you are second class to him.there where times i just wanted to send him to hell.luckily i found a nice new doctor.this man should not be a doctor..
