I’ve had a great experience volunteering here and contributing to my community in the process. I’ve met many amazing people and the experience has been incredible. I helped sort lots of food and hand it out to those in need of it.

I volunteered at CEC for the entire month of July, and I have to say that I enjoyed my time spent there. The people I worked with were very humble and friendly, and just the overall environment was nice to be in. More likely than not, I’m going to volunteer here again when summer comes around.

The CEC is an amazing group of people helping to meet the needs of many folks in Broward. This is a great place to volunteer, I felt great respect between leadership and volunteers and all the volunteers and leaders to the patrons of their food pantry. Awesome group and organization!

This place is literally amazing

I attended the feeding program from its inception. When Nadine was distributing food to the community from her residence. I was able to volunteer and help her at that time. Now the program has grown tremendously; CEC has been a blessing to me, my family, and others. I thank God for Nadine and the Volunteers for their graciousness and helpfulness to all of the Seniors. They not only give us food, but they also give food to the animals, paper goods, household items etc. We are truly blessed to have Nadine and the Volunteers. Without them there would be no us. I pray you all continue what you are doing to help all the people in the community. God bless you my Sister and the Volunteers. Love you all!

The CEC led by Mrs. Nadine McCrea is an excellent organization. Theyve been loving on our community for about 40 years and have gone above and beyond during the covid-19 pandemic. Ive recently begun to connect with the CEC and am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful team of Hollywood residents and volunteers. Feel free to visit or volunteer with us whenever youre free!

This food bank does wonders for the community! Mrs. Nadine is the most caring individual and she wants to make sure the entire city of Hollywood does not go hungry!

I went there my first time there and the people were so rude after I parked in the wrong spot. I need food for my family but I will not be disrespected. So much for helping the community. I am now home in tears telling my husband about it carrying our 3rd child. You dont know what people have going on so maybe you should be kind with your words and not be this way towards someone in need.Update a year later. I lost the baby I was pregnant with and now have a healthy baby girl.

The food quality is not up too par. I get its free but were not animals! We are humans and deserve to have food that isnt expired! The wait is 4 hours and meanwhile the sun is shining down on all the food until we even get to start sorting through what we want. Nadine shows preference to others leaving the individuals toward the back of the line with nothing. Nadine also walks around taking pictures in peoples faces without any kind of permission! The security guard acts like hes a hotshot demanding that we stay under the tent bunched up like a can of sardines and yelling about who parked where. Nadine begs, pleads, and bribes with wasp and hornet spray and a half melted popsicle for good reviews. I can not believe how unorganized this place is its unbelievable. Stop giving people expired food and soft almost rotten bananas. Nadine and her staff keep all of the good stuff for her and her cronies. I witnessed the truck come and deliver toiletries, personal hygiene, cleaning products but we never are able to get them. That tells me nadine and her staff distribute those goods amongst themselves and leaves the community all of the food that they dont want which is mostly expired, rotten, and smelly meat. I will continue to investigate these places for moral standards and competency in helping the community.

I wouldnt recommend this place cause I didnt have my kids in the car due to this covid pandemic.I didnt receive everything and thats sad especially when you have proof.this is sad.Then they goes and tells me I cant receive a box cause the driver got hers.Please have different volunteers.

This program is god sent we this woman is doing a great thing for our community some people like myself and my children would go hungry as I live on a budget and there are times when my stamps run out in the past I had no where to turn thank God for this program my children and I dont have to go without meals

Waited in line for 2 hours told them I live somewhere else they said oh no we don’t give our food to other people who don’t live in Hollywood and also their attitude was so disgusting

My first visit to this place was a 4 hour wait. I received a large box of food but was very disappointed with the lack of organization. Many seniors babies & disabled people standing in the sun for 4 hours was excruciating. Food is given twice a week but certain people are allowed to jump the line out of numbered tickets making it unfair to the others. This was approved on several occasions. Some people allowed to take large quantities prior to the line being finished so people at the end were left out. I will not return even in need.

Me and my family waited from 11 to 1 and once we told them we lived in miramar they had an attitude that wasn’t the best!
