Minars Dermatology is the best Dermatology office I have ever been to. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. They really care about each patient individually. They are always on time . I never have had to wait to be seen. Even why they fit me i, I still did not have to wait more than 10 minutes. Some doctors’ offices keep you waiting for a long time. They are extremely efficient and organized. Every doctor or physician assistant that I saw was friendly, compassionate, and understanding. Each one took the time to listen to my issues, read my chart for more information, and took time to discuss solutions with me. I have been dealing with this issue for many years and it is almost gone. All thanks to the amazing staff at Minars Dermatology. I highly recommend this office in Hollywood, Florida. Thank you.

Had an appointment with this Dr. Wu yesterday! He had no interest in my issue with acne. He said several times to me. “You used everything”! Horrible!!! To add insult to injury. I needed a prescription in an ointment form, in which I had it before as a previous prescription. I go to Walgreens to pick it up! It’s a cream instead! The quality in the care for patients is at an all time low! If you don’t like what you doing! Do something else!!

The office was clean and everyone was very professional and courteous. all wearing good fitting mask. Dr. Wu seemedBright and knowledgeable. Had a biopsy and the good Old spray can, lol, for some AK. Those who have had skin cancer know what this is. Multiple melanomas in my immediate family. Had a biopsy too. All quick and painless. I ways in and out in less than an hour of my appointment time. Very impressed.

I love the fact that when you have an appointment you’re in and out, no long waits, the staff is very professional and pleasant and the doctor is awesome, very knowledgeable and she makes you feel very comfortable what about telling her your issues.

My visit to see Minars Dermatology was Awesome. I waiting room area was cleaned. I barely sat in the waiting room 3 minutes and the assistant called me to take me to my room safely. Dr. Vivas came in bubbly as always. She looked over my skin situation and suggested and explained what would be good to make sure I had Healthy and glowing skin. After my visitation. I went to go pay my bill. Mrs. Cheryl at check out had cleaned the ink pens and made sure the credit card reader was satinized. I was very pleased to see that. My son had an appointment with Dr. Timothy Wu a few weeks ago, who we had chosen after reading several positive reviews on his demeanor.As an MD myself, I must say, this would have to be the worst skin screening I have ever witnessed. The whole process must have lasted south of 20 seconds, with Dr. Wu simply broadly looking at the arms and torso, completely disregarding key risk areas for skin cancers such as the ears and scalp.After the short appointment, he exited the room and the young nurse had to inform him that he was also to apply cortisone injections. Thank you for remembering!, he said. The overall visit felt rushed, and it certainly appears that Dr. Wu does not have much expertise in medical dermatology.Its been over 2 weeks since that day, and we have not heard back regarding the results for a biopsy which they said were supposed to be available in 5-7 days. We have called the office THREE times, and the receptionists have informed us that the results are most likely nothing to worry about since we havent heard otherwise, but that Dr. Wu will call when he is not so busy. What good is likelihood when it comes to medical diagnoses? What is more important than taking 2 minutes out of your day to give your patient a call with a test result?Now, the office is nice and the receptionists seem competent. There may be some decent doctors at Minars, but Dr. Wu is not someone I can recommend.Most definitely avoid.

I’m no “local guide” so this is not going to be a rave review. I was a patient of this office. My first visit went well. Second visit is what drove me to write what follows.I had a 12noon appointment. Got there approx 11:50am. As soon as I checked in, an assistant came to inform me that my doctor was running ‘a little bit late’ and I had two patients ahead of me. I asked how late and she estimated a 25-30 min wait. To which I said it was no problem. I was willing to wait.Not even 5 minutes passed in that waiting room, I got called to a room. I continued reading my book. At some point, I fell asleep. When I woke up it was almost 1pm. Then someone enters the room and proceeds to tell me that I have two patients ahead of me. Surprised, I asked how come. If these were the same two patients I had in front of me more than an hour ago. Her lame response was “yeah, we’re having a slow week”. Mind you, this happened on a Tuesday. You can do better.I decided to just leave and never come back. The least I expected was a call with an apology. That never happened. Terrible patient experience.

HATED THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!!I took my daughter to this place twice. Both times I was over charged without a single explanation as to what I was getting charged for. I keep getting billed without a single explanation. Ive emailed multiple times requesting more info on what they are trying to bill me for and no response. Also, the first time, the doctor seemed to guess at what my daughters issue was and said, Well, lets try this and hope it works the treatment didnt seem to do much but I came in a second time to try it again. This time, the nurse that administered the treatment was not nearly as careful and ended up burning parts of my daughters skin.. this was AWFUL!! She was in so much pain.. it was rough to watch her go through this.. but it eventually got better. The problem, however, never went away. I spent a crazy amount of money (and they are still asking for more without an explanation) for a terrible experience and no solutions.

Dr. Wu, as a person should learn how to smile.As a doctor? Being thorough and communicative would be a start.I came in with two areas of concern, a suspicious mole and some sun damaged skin. He addressed these areas Only? After addressing these areas, he began to conclude our visit ?I asked politely, shouldn’t you be looking for other areas of concern ? Deadpan, saying nothing, he quickly looked through my scalp and was done.The assistant casually told me I should put antibiotic cream on my my neck where I was treated. There were no other instructions. for example should I keep it dry? when should I take the Band-Aid off ?Honestly, I am very disappointed and I will never go back to him and he should be ashamed of himself.

Found a suspicious lump and was leaving for a few weeks on vacation. Dr. We was able to see me last minute on a Saturday morning. Scheduled removal of the lump immediately upon my return. Office staff was fantastic from the very beginning.When I had the lump removed, Dr. Wu performed an excellent job (I have seen my fair share of physicians so have a good base for comparison).Aside from being skilled, Dr. Wu also appears to be a nice person in general.

This was a bad experience, the doctor told me one price and when it was all over The reception is charge me double with a very poor excuse for the reason why. I was very unhappy due to the fact that he told me that my insurance would not cover the work that was being done and I was paying cash out-of-pocket. I felt like if I got ripped off. I will never return there again and I will definitely not tell anyone to go there.

Awful experience, after 6 months of my last visit I keep receiving bills. Dr Vivas said how much it would cost me and surprisingly I was charged more on every visit. Called my Ins they submitted the claim incorrectly and late and now want to charge me more. Front Desk staff polite and kind, however Dr Vivas was very rude on my last appt, rushed and didnt explain to me anything at all. Wouldnt recommend her at all to anyone!!! She doesnt focus on patient needs only on $$$$ and she misinformed me about prices. Not honest at all!

Went to Minars as a new patient for a general skin cancer check and some cosmetic questions as they list on website they offer laser Treatments etc, and saw ARNP Marianna Helin. She came in, I told her what I was there for and I started mentioning the things I would like to address during my visit and even her tone and shortness with me was making me want to hold back with Why I was there, like I was already an inconvenience to her just by being there. She started the cancer screening maybe 20 seconds scanned, which to me was quick it definitely didn’t feel thorough or my entire body but I didn’t object to it. She asked me to take off my mask.To let everyone know, I have been for the past 4 months been having multiple surgeries to cut out injected silicone from my Lips, which I was 21 when it was done at a plastic surgeons office but was unaware it was silicone. Long story short has made me very sick, I developed a auto immune disease an became depressed with my situation. Anyways, when I took off my mask I have stitches on my lips so I had to tell Marianna that I’m currently having surgeries to remove old injected silicone and she stopped looked at me and says, “ did you have this done in the back of an alley somewhere” ..... I was trying to not get upset and just laughed it off and explained where it was done, and she said wow, and where are you from?. I said Florida, I felt so judged, so degraded by this health care provider who should be taking care of me. I was in shock. I held it together put my mask back on and stayed brave to finish the appt. while it seemed she was done with me, I brought back up the things I wanted to talk about. Showed her these bumps on my legs I have, without her even coming closer to me she said “it’s just your skin, your just looking for glossier skin” then asked her about these tiny bumps I have underneath both of my eyes, seeing if anything can be done, she says “there just tiny bumps, use makeup” then I finally bring up the laser machine sitting inside the room asking her about this machine and my dark spots and she says why would you do that just use a over the counter product or makeup. And that was it for me I said thank you, got dressed and I paid $45. For what? This is a Dermatologist office, which offers cosmetic dermatology, why was I not offered any type of anything, but mainly WHY was I judged, put down about my lips. I Felt like an idiot for bringing up questions about something their facility offers ? After what she said to me about my lips I should have left right then. It’s disturbing that a healthcare worker can treat a person seeking their medical help like the way she did to me. Minars Dermatology is a big name office I was referred to them, it blows my mind. Here’s the kicker, my husband had an appointment with her immediately after mine and we have different last names after his appointment I asked him how she was towards him he said she was pretty good she talked to him about reality TV, personable, she addressed his skin issues prescribed a medication for him to take, she used a laser to zap off a skin tag he had on his eye and really took care of him, like I should have been. She completely discriminated me regarding my lips which is the worst thing by far, and for what reason I won’t know but I pray that she’s addressed by the owners of this facility. You know there are so so providers out there that are not great and don’t want to offer you treatment and it’s unfortunate but it happens and you just go and see someone else, but to attack me on a personal level is unethical and should not have happened Today.

My daughter had appointment with Dr Patel and when she arriving to scheduled appointment months ago another Dr went to the room. She was very disappointed because she had that Dr before and was not satisfied with service.

I founded Dr. Alejandra Vivas when I was in a very difficult moment where no doctor knew what to do with my diagnosis. From the first day she was the most professional and above all kind to me. She showed me the steps to follow for my treatment and for more than a year I have decided to travel 40 minutes just to see her. I recommend it 101%. She is excellent at what she does!!!!!!!If there was a 100 star review I would rate her with 100 :)

Dr. Vivas was wonderful! She treated me with much respect and took her time to answer all my questions. She was also very attentive. Check in was great with the girls up front. Only thing I really don’t like is when they leave you in the room and don’t let you know if you should wait or just walk out on your own. Being my first time there I was lost walking out. Check out was a little rushed, they made sure to collect my copay and then said bye. Follow up appt wasn’t made which I’ll gladly call for, it was just a bit of a floppy ending to a great appt.

If you want to waste your time and be treated harshly this is the place. When you arrive you can wait up to 40 minutes, but if you are late they make you miss the appointment without having confirmed it or without even calling you. They also treat you as if there were no competition, but to get you any kind of bill they are eagles. very bad experience.

Went here for many years. My last couple experiences left me extremely disappointed. Laser hair removal was disappointing. Lady went above my hair line. 👎🏼 Also, I got a sty the same exact day I used their goggles for the laser treatment. Also, went to see dr Minars (the father) for a pimple on my bikini. He was extremely creepy. He locked the door without any nurses and made me very uncomfortable.

My left leg was getting red and swell. I hardly walked and couldn’t wear shoes. I met Dr. Wu through my insurance company website. He was nice to diagnose the issue; I bought a cream and pills as per his prescription. My leg is getting better after a few days, although there are some scratches.It was just a few red spots on my left leg. I felt itch and visited a doctor initialed MB with over 40-year experience in downtown Fort Lauderdale. He said it is OK and gave a cream; but the cream doesn’t work, the red spots were spreading on my left leg. Then I visited again. MB took a few seconds and said “I give you much stronger cream”. Unfortunately, it was getting much worse. After two weeks, I even hardly walked.I was looking for a new experienced dermatologist, but some clinics scheduled me in December or told me “the doctor (I named) is not available recently”. I am happy to meet Dr. Wu and treat my leg.

Dr. Balestra is a BUNDLE of joy, as is the staff, Taylor & VG. She took the time to do special stitching when she realized my physical limitations. In so doing, we all had time to talk and have fun with each other. Oh, and most important, there was no pain. Thank you to everyone.

This review is based off all 7 of my appointments over the last 3 years. Unless you request a specific doctor, youll be randomly assigned to the first available one. My first four appts were withDr. Minars (first 2 times) (male) Rating: ADr. Timothy Wu (on 3rd visit) (male) Rating: ADr. A. Vivas (on 4th, 6th and 7th times) (female) A+Pamela Miller (once on 5th visit) (female) - the ONLY doctor there I do NOT recommend.In regards to everything but their doctors, its a top notch office. Ultra clean, super friendly front desk people. Fast to answer the phone when calling and very accommodating with appt scheduling.Paperwork process is minimal and easy. Most important about the office is wait times and I found it to be minimal (all 7 of my appts had under 5 minutes wait to be seeb) and gets an A+Getting RXs, getting refills, getting Rx changed to a new pharmacy, all that bureaucracy stuff - top marks.Now, onto reviewing the doctors. Like I said, Ive been here a total of 7 times for issues such as having a mole removed to treating eczema. After getting 4 different doctors at random, I noticed not all are of equal quality. With the exception of Dr Miller, I found that the other 3 (Minars, Wu, and Vivas) were all very well qualified and able to diagnose skin issues within seconds. Knowledgeable and not rushed, they all answered my questions and did not feel rushed.My appointment with Dr. Miller was a follow-up for a mole removal and also to help with a rash along my bikini zone. Ive seen rushed doctors before but her behavior was not typical. She remained at the doorway, only inspecting my skin with her eyes, even though she was wearing her latex gloves. She didnt want to enter the room. I asked her to close the door before Id lower my shorts to show her my bikini zone and she reluctantly entered, closing the door. Before she would approach me, she asked me to look away so as not to exhale on her while she eyeballed my rash from 3 feet away (still not touching it).While I know there is still a Covid19 risk, we were BOTH wearing masks plus she was wearing this clear plastic splash guard face mask in front of her whole face. I found it very strange considering this was my 3rd appt during covid-19 yet the first time s doctor acted like that. Soon as she said it was a skin sensitivity to the NAIR I had used, she was back out by the doorway scribbling some notes and then was gone. I never got a chance to ask her ANY questions.Dr. Vivas - now this is the doctor to see if you want the red carpet. Unrushed, answered all my questions. After we were done she even asked me if there was anything else I needed. Wow. She spent so long in the room the nurse had to knock to remind her 15min had passed. Outstanding lady.Final review: MINARS is an A+ dermatology office.The Minars, Wu, and Vivas are all excellent and very skilled. If you feel more comfortable with a female dr or need that warm bedside manner or have anxiety or lots of questions, Dr. Vivas is my first pick. Dr. Wu is also thorough if you dont care about gender or need any chit chat and just business.Pamela Miller may or may not know her stuff. I dont know, never gave me enough time to to ask a question and find out. I guess if its just a follow up and getting stitches removed, shes better than nothing but if I can wait the extra days for the harder to get appt spots, Im always seeing Dr. Vivas (who did the mole removal surgery and had super steady hands), a great bedside manner, has patience and caring.For simple rashes, Wu and Minars know their stuff 👍Overall a great office with great doctors.

Beautiful office, doctor was timely and professional. I was called within minutes of sitting down and the procedure was quick and painless, I was in and out in 20 minutes.

If i could give it 0 star i would since the practitioner who saw me was far from professional her name Marianna Helin was very careless i went in to see her about a mole and the way she removed it was burning it off and while doing so she burn also the healthy skin around it so now i have a scar bigger than the mole itself she wasn’t meticulous at all i was afraid of continuing doing any other procedure with her because how she handled herself. Horrible experience

OMG I totally LOVE and HIGHLY recommend Nurse Practitioner Marianna Helin, ARNP - she is the kindest person and definitely has a big heart. She took care of an issue I had with care, and helped me out again on a revisit. I am so pleased with her services. I will be bringing my son in to see her specifically now for his dermatology needs. Im sure all the staff is great but I will highly recommend her specifically. Thanks again Ms. Helin!

Absolutely great service! I have been going to this practice for years and have never been disappointed. The Dermatologists and staff are truly competent and compassionate. I definitely recommend this facility!

Horrible experience. I was misdiagnosed with a lipoma on my left arm and needed a small procedure to get it removed. When the doctor cut it open, he realized it was a cyst but he didn’t remove it all the way. Now i have an ugly scar because the stitches weren’t done well, and on top of all that the cyst is back. So i ended up paying over $500 for an ugly, botched scar, and the cyst i originally had. Would not recommend.

I am very picky, especially when it comes to doctors. But Dr. Vivas was certainly excellent. She explained me everything and it was very professional. But I give 4 stars because I feel that some people on the front desk might be a little more nicer or a least can try to help more the patients.I asked to a woman from the the front desk about the price of a filling on my lips, and she told me sometime like this “ I dont manage prices, the doctor has to tell you, you can find out later”. (She wasn’t very nice)I think she could at least go and look for the doctor or leave her a note and tell her I was interested in the treatment. In the end, its a service that benefits the clinic
