Plumber was very professional and courteous. I did some checking on the internet and their prices were about reasonable. The repair was completed quickly.

My zone board went bad during a power surge they wanted 1000 dollars to replace it. I ordered it myself from amazon for 120 and it took me 30 minutes to replace. I am wondering if they were going to send Einstein to intall it for me. Because that couldve only justified the 1600+ dollar per hour labor charges.

Jerel was professional and very thoughtful in finding our leak. It took some time but his patience and critical thinking helped find a leak in the wall with out tearing up much. Unfortunately, a lot ended up getting demoed because of the water damage. Would definitely use these guys again for plumbing.

Receptionists were friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Was able to get a weekend diagnostic and a followup repair appointment for Monday from a last-minute call. The two technicians were thorough and courteous (wore masks, and boots when inside). Jason was able to find a leak in our line set that two previous companies completely missed. After repairing the leak and recharging our heat and A/C were back to working. No BS. Prices seemed fair for the work they performed.

I called to get an HVAC drain unclogged on a Sunday at 10am. I had a service tech at the house by 11am. He was on time, very professional and fixed the problem quickly. I signed up for the 1 year service plan because I was going to get half the money back on savings for this visit. Weekend service fee wasn’t that much extra, so no brainer to get it fixed right away. I would highly recommend this company.

When our AC was out, Alexander worked us into the schedule same day (called at 8am), and had the system fixed 3 business days later, which was a lot faster than I was anticipating since they had to order the part. They showed up on time for both appointments (a rarity in the service world). Highly recommend.

The man who provided the quote, Jerel, was professional and thorough. However, the quotation from Alexander Services was significantly higher than the other quotes I received. The quote for installing a tank water heater that was essentially an exact replacement was 20% above the nearest quote and almost twice the lowest. The quote for the tankless water heater was more than 25% higher than the nearest and 33% higher than the winning bid.

I strongly urge against doing business with this company. We were existing customers under their “Annual Preferred Service Membership Plan.” We had a downdraft installed by an appliance company who left about 8 inches of ductwork that needed to be installed. We called Alexander for an estimate for this relatively small job, and they would not come out without charging a $71 estimate fee. We agreed, understanding that this fee would be rolled into the work. However, the estimate from Alexander for this job was $600! We had another company come out to do this work. The job was done in 10 minutes and they charged us a total of $75. When we showed this company the Alexander estimate for this same work, they were shocked and told us that Alexander was trying to “rip us off.”Because of this, we decided to cancel our membership with Alexander. When we did so, Alexander had little to no interest in understanding why we cancelled or trying to retain our business. Moreover, after we cancelled, Alexander charged our credit card, which they had on file, for the $71 estimate fee without our authority. When we called Alexander to ask why they charged our credit card without our permission, the person in the accounting department said that she had listened to their call recordings and had my spouse on a recording saying that she agreed to the estimate fee. This demonstrates that they were expecting our call, probably because they knew that charging our credit card without our permission was improper. We also requested reimbursement of half of our unused pre-paid annual membership, because those were services that we paid for but did not receive. The accounting representative refused, became hostile, and ultimately hung up on me. What terrible customer service!

Our heat pump went out on Christmas Day, Alexander Services come out the next day. Handled the need for a replacement. Scheduled the installation of the new unit. We are very pleased with our new system. Thanks to Wendy, Frank, Cody and all who got us comfortable in our home again.

Alexander Services has been one of the most helpful companies. They have provided me with a preventative service membership, so that I can have my system maintained twice a year. I get a 10% discount with this membership, as well as many other benefits that are too long to add to this review. The dispatch department is extremely friendly, and helpful in all the ways that they can help. Frank, the owner, is a great guy, and he just wants to make sure that all of his customers are taken care of and are satisfied. I have absolutely no complaints about this company. Theyve been around for about 9 years now, and I hope to see them continue to grow!

They replaced an expansion tank and did a quick, prompt job. He was on time, professional with mask and booties. Couldnt have been nicer and it was all repaired very very quickly. I was impressed as usual as I use them all the time!

We use Alexander services for our “twice a year” heating and cooling maintenance. They are very professional from the time you call to schedule the maintenance, to saying ‘thank you and good bye’ to the tech at the end of the service. BUT, for me, the true test of a solid company is what happens when something goes wrong and the system suddenly stops working…Twice I have called Alexander HVAC late at night in the middle of summer when the AC stopped working and twice I have received a call back from them before 8am the following day with a concrete plan to get us up and running within hours. Also, they are very transparent and are willing to explain and show you the issue-to the extent you’re interested-which goes a long way for someone like me who is actually pretty interested!If you’ve just moved to a new house and trying to figure out who to trust your HVAC system to, or if you’re unhappy with your current HVAC company, make the move over to Alexander services. You will not be disappointed.

In addition to reiterating the comments left by my husband Nate Brown, I would like to add that Alexander Services has a policy (not communicated to customers) of saving your credit card information and charging your card without authorization for jobs that do not belong to you. This is an unacceptable policy and a security risk, which I called and left a message to destroy my information immediately. This is yet another example of carelessness and lack of respect and consideration for the customer that Alexander continues to display despite repeated issues and requests for better service. The owner, Frank Alexander, still believes $300 to be fair compensation for all the work that my husband and I had to do because his workers didnt do it, all the time I have spent calling in to the company to fix errors, all the stress and frustration his company has caused us after we paid his company over $20,000 for work that his company still has not finished. Its when there is a problem that you truly see what a person and company are made of. Suffice it to say, my husband and I are not impressed by this award-winning service.

I Iove the way the technicians were on time, and that I got an email when they were on their way to my house. I’ve never had a company show up on time before Alexander Services! I am so impressed. Julius was so fast and efficient maintaining my HVAC and did an amazing job. Better yet, I even got a full printout report of the health of my HVAC system. I’ve never gotten anything like that before either. Hunter was so thorough checking my water heater and giving me professional recommendations for it. He also found and corrected a long standing issue with my drain! He checked it so carefully until he found what was wrong - none of the other many plumbers I’d had here ever did that. He’s so easy to work with. And explains everything so well. I highly, highly recommend this company. Family owned and it shows! The amount of care they put into every detail is very impressive. Highly recommend.

My grandmother needed an electrical fixture installed and since she lives alone we called Alexander Services. She was really happy with the electrician who came out and felt really good about the company. We will call them again if she needs any work done in the future.

My crawlspace was flooded with water, damaging my water heater almost to the point of extinction. I was scheduled for next day service. The technician arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. Even though they are not crawlspace experts, he gave us some tips on how to keep it sealed up and the water out. He removed the water with a pump and gave us a quote to install a permanent sump pump. Should we decide to move ahead with installing a permanent pump, we will definitely use Alexander Services! So glad we went with them!

I have been using Alexander Heating and Air since 2016. The staff is friendly on the phone. The technician that came out to my house for the annual service on my heating and air unit was very professional and very thorough.

I did end up going with another company, however, this had nothing to do with Hunter! He was professional, courteous and on time. I would recommend Hunter for any job needed!

I entered into a service contract with Alexander Services because they had done some repair work on my old home and had excellent reviews. My wife and I bought a new construction home in 2018 With a brand new carrier dual HVAC system. During their second or third maintenance visit the tech discovered mold growing on the coil in our crawlspace furnace. He said that this could be caused by a variety of things one of which being the pressure not being sick in the tanks in the compressor. On the first service call the tech even notated that the pressure was off but nothing was said Said to me about it at the time. On the third service visit the tech discovered the growth on the coil.Needless to say we were not happy considering it was a new system and we had a service plan to avoid this kind of thing. ARS installed the unit when the home was built. Recently we discovered that the motor on the compressor for the downstairs unit was wearing out. We had to pay to replace the compressor which was covered under warranty, but the labor was over $400. We’ve been happy with Alexander’s responsiveness and knowledge but I don’t really see the need for a service plan if major issues are going to be missed in our furnaces and air compressors. We haven’t even got into fixing the mold growing on the coil in the crawlspace, which cost thousands of dollars to repair.Also for everyone’s information, when you have a new HVAC system installed you need to call the manufacturer to register it. My wife and I did not know this and the Manufactures warranty only covers parts for five years. If we had registered the new system with the manufacture the parts would be covered for 10 years. Our builder, contractor and realtor never mentioned it and I had never heard of having to do this. So if you ever get a new HVAC system or move into a new construction home, make sure you register it with the manufacturer!

Derrick was friendly, quick, and on time. Fixed my heating and even took the extra steps to be a bit quieter so my one year old could nap. A+ quality service, and 100% will be using again.

I have had a maintenance contract with Alexander for 2 years and have been extremely pleased with the level of service and professionalism. They are on time, pleasant, and reasonable.

I recently bought a much older home, that came with a ton of HVAC issues on the two separate systems in the house. Over the last year I have used Alexander Heating and Air for numerous (but completely unrelated) heating and AC issues. They are always super responsive, professional, and polite. I am a first time home owner so my knowledge is lacking on some of these issues, but they always explain things thoroughly and never try to sell me on something I do not need. I am grateful to have found a company that I feel so comfortable using!

Alexander was an absolute nightmare. We did two installs with them as the first one was rocky (the workers dropped the unit down our attic stairs) but they made it right... the second install was awful - beyond awful - and it failed the Wake County Inspection due to a gas leak in my home. THEN... to make things even better, almost 4 years AFTER these two nightmares we get an e-mail that theyre auditing their 2017 records and need to return again to our home because the permitting with the county was not done properly - so we get to deal with them once more. Pushy salespeople, overpriced when we comparison shopped, horrible installation experiences, and clearly not any bookkeeping or record keeping that I would ever wish to deal with again.

My technician, Jordan, was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of questions I had since I have never had air conditioning before. He explained what the service today included and did explain that I may be needing a new unit if Freon needs added again ( was added 12 months ago also). He explained what I would need and the cost per my request, but wasn’t pushy in any way. Very friendly and personable.I highly recommend Alexander Heating & Air Conditioning

Poor customer service. I really like the sales agent that signed me up for a yearly AC unit maintenance contract. He explained to me the costs, took my check and said someone would contact me in the next week or two to schedule my first appointment. Instead, a few weeks later, I received my check back with an invoice asking for more money. No explanation, no call, just an invoice requesting more money than we had agreed upon. After calling the company I figured out that the salesman did not remember to include taxes so they needed a new check, I asked why no one had called me or sent a note with the new invoice and they apologized, I chalked it up to human error so we moved on. My first scheduled maintenance (fall maintenance) went on without a hitch. Recently I scheduled my second (spring maintenance), today I received and email saying they were sorry but due to high demand they would have to cancel my spring maintenance and they would not be able to provide the service until the fall. They said they would extend my contract so that I would be covered until then.Once again, no call, no one asked me if it was ok to skip the spring maintenance i paid for, no options to get my unit serviced on time, nothing. Just an email stating what they were willing to do. We have a contract and my AC system needs preventive maintenance, especially given the extreme heat we experience in NC in the summer. Extremely poor business to sign people up for a service they are counting on for peace of mind, accept there payment and then just arbitrarily say they will not be able to live up to the agreement at the specified time. I will ask for my money back for the second half of the contract and find a reliable company to perform my AC maintenance.

My wife and I purchased a home that needed extensive repairs/modifications. Our hope was to have all work completed prior to us moving into the home for the safety of us and workers during COVID times. We relied referrals and good reviews and trusted Alexander with our empty home.For the most part, everything seemed to be going well except for numerous errors with the companys invoicing system. (The company repeatedly sent us invoices containing items that were removed/modified. My wife had to call in several times to ensure the invoices were correct and we were paying for exactly what was completed). We understand that numerous changes to invoices were made due to additional work we wanted done, however the invoices contained vague descriptions of work to be completed and it was nearly impossible to tell what work was for what. For example, light fixtures (such as garage lights, chandeliers, etc.) and ceiling fans were all lumped together, leading to a huge issue at the end.We stopped by the house a few times during the month and were dismayed to see that the electrical technicians left trash directly under the light fixtures they were to replace. The old broken light fixtures, along with the new boxes, wires, styrofoam, were left in the house instead of removed or placed in the garage. My wife called and left a message asking for the trash to be removed, but either no one received this message or it was ignored.Finally, Alexanders representatives (Wendy, Jordan, etc.) assured us that all work would be completed 2/5/2021. We had hired a maid service to clean the entire house on 2/6/2021. My wife called Alexander to settle up the invoices (only two remained as she had paid the rest previously.) Again, Jordan assured us that all the work at been done. My wife called about the two invoices, and Jordan said she could only find one. My wife was confused, but finally settled on paying the one invoice. Later, Jordan called saying that she had found the other invoice, which my wife then paid.I stopped by the house the evening of 2/5/2021 and was shocked to find that trash was still everywhere in the home. I spent the next few hours lugging heavy fans and light fixtures to garage so that the maids would be able to clean the next day. In addition, a light fixture that we provided for the technicians to install was not installed and a washer and dryer that we paid to have installed were not installed after we had been assured that all work had been completed. We were furious. Having seen work not completed, it brought into question if everything on the invoice had been completed.The next day, Alexander sent out technicians to complete the work, but this was after the maids were done. Even after the technicians were told to clean up after themselves, we found plaster and the trash in the home. We were later told that it was a policy to not throw away old fixtures as it was a problem if owners later complained. This policy was NEVER communicated to us and we specifically requested that the trash be removed. We were appalled to find wires in the brand new carpet of our 14-month daughters room that were too heavy for the maids vacuums to pick up.On Monday, my wife received several emails from Jordan with additional invoices that she claimed needed to be paid. Jordan asked for proof of payment - note, this was the invoice she couldnt find in the first place.My wife and I both separately spoke with the owner Frank Alexander trying to find a resolution to our issues. He was inconsistent in what he told us and offered us $300 when we had paid over $20,000, saying he could not afford anything higher. Wendy claimed she would help resolve the issue, but so far has done nothing. Had my daughter swallowed a wire, I guarantee, it would not cost $300. I would not recommend this company for their lack of communication, their lack of accountability (why was a final walk-through of the invoice not performed? There is still incomplete work), and their disregard for their customers and their property.

Alexander Heating and Air has been out to help us 3 times since April and each time has been absolutely wonderful! The technicians are extremely knowledgeable, friendly-and all times have showed up early! Timothy the service manager most recently came out today and took care of our issue. The office and technicians notified us that the warranty on our unit was not transferred over during the purchase of the house and thanks to them or else we would have never known! Can’t say enough good things about Alexander Heating and Air! Would recommend 10 out of 10 times.

I decided to try Alexander based on some positive local reviews for basic ac unit maintenance and clearing of a completely clogged condensate drain line. Im usually somewhat skeptical but I was satisfied with their work... Their tech took about 2 hours tracing the clog, cutting and clearing the lines, and patching it all back up successfully. Considering his effort prevented me from building a whole new drain line, as well as two thorough unit inspections and a slightly-less-than-expected bill, I had a positive experience with Alexander and will use them again. Recommended

I was able to get an appointment to tune up my AC unit the week following the week that I called. The technician was on time - wore a mask, gloves, and shoe coverings and endeavored to stick only to the thermostats and unit in the attic and went around to the back (I live in a town home) without going through my home. I truly appreciated this approach. The unit was serviced and the cost was very reasonable. I “found” this company because my daughter uses their services too and has been very happy with them.

They were recommended to me by another realtor and when my usual company could not fit an inspection into their schedule That my buyer needed, I called Alexander. They were prompt, efficient, and completed the written report before the end of the day. The technician, David, was wonderful and explained more of what was needed and why(in terms I could understand). I was very impressed and have called them for an estimate for my own home which needs as a new hvac system— again very impressed.

Hunter arrived on time, thoroughly explained my options and had a brand new heater delivered, installed, and removed the old one, all in under 4 hours. My tankless water heater was acting odd and finally gave up and started flashing a code. After calling the installer, a second contractor and finally the manufacturer, they pointed me Alexander. I was afraid is be down for days, instead they showed up within an hour. The tech was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. It ended up being a gas regulator, something I couldnt have diagnosed. He did his best to simply adjust it to save me the cost. He replaced it and left no trace otherwise. Clean, quick and I considered it worth it as a normal diy type guy. Would highly recommend them.

I’ve been using Alexander for several years and have always been impressed with their professionalism and service. Julius was very thorough when completing our most recent service. He was also very aware and took precautions during these uncertain times, dealing with COVID-19.

The plumber that came out to clear our clogged kitchen drain was polite, very knowledgeable, and did a great job. The reason for the low score is that the price charged by the company is extremely not realistic. $227 is way, way, way too much for simply taking a P-trap off and running the drain auger plumbing snake which took less than 30 minutes. Next time I’ll go to Lowe’s and buy one for less than $50.

Ive only used them for 2 tune ups. The fall tune up took 20 mins and spring a full hour. Not sure if we got a thorough check in the fall. I felt better after the spring check as I felt things were actually checked. The paperwork was confusing as both good and needs replaced were both checked for a couple items 🤷🏾‍♀️. The main reason I took off a star is because the text sent to me asking for this review has my name as Chinese. That isnt even close to my name. But, that said I like that they are local and they reached out to me to schedule my tune up. I appreciate that! Will continue to use them and hopefully build a good relationship.

Tim came out to give a second opinion on some work another company had done. He gave me an honest assessment and fixed what the other company had broken. I will be using Alexander again in the future, and give Tim the highest marks for his honesty and professionalism.

I had braced myself for the worst when my ac stopped cooling my home. I called Alexander at 8am and spoke with their very courteous and knowledgeable office staff. She had a technician at my home before 10am. He quickly repaired the issue and my home was cooling within an hour. Your staff, responsiveness, professionalism and value exceeded my expectations.

Vincent came to check on our plumbing. He was thorough, kind, not pushy, very helpful, quick, clean and respectful. He took his shoes off before coming into the house. He had a checklist of things to evaluate, and then went over them all when he was done. He showed me all of the items that he evaluated or repaired. I was very happy with this service and will certainly use them again.

My time as an employee at Alexander’s was short only about 6 months however I learned a lot from the people around me and I always went home with a paycheck.

We had some plumbing work done by Alexander, and were very pleased with the entire process. We had a hot water issue that I wasnt sure how to address. Jeremiah provided an excellent solution. Vincent did the installation, along with 3 toilets and a kitchen faucet, in a very neat and efficient manner. Everyone was easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Jeremiah is very courteous, service oriented, and knowledgeable given the unique hot water tank of an Apollo system. I was educated about the process and was provided with a couple of options and pricing promptly. I would highly recommend this company and Jeremiah as they are local and have provided quality service thus far.

This company has great communication, reasonable prices and prompt service. We have had issues with our “new air conditioner “ from the builder for over a year. We decided to reach out to another company to evaluate and just pay to get the AC unit fixed. They thoroughly checked our system, reviewed the results and have ordered the part needed after a demonstration of why we had issues.I have already recommended to my friends they are on the reliable list we have created with 5 stars.

I called to set up an appointment to have our HVAC balanced. My son’s room was hot and my room was freezing. Alexander Heating & Air was able to come out later that day. The technicians were able to correct the problem quickly and affordably.

Update June 2021: I just had Alexander replace my upstairs AC and furnace. As has been my experience for years, they do quality work and have great people, The installers were skilled and professional and the office staff was great. The prices were very good and I like the York products10 year parts and labor warranty. I recommend using Alexander Services.Always a pleasant experience with Alexander. The technicians are professional and have NEVER tried to sell me anything like some other large local HVAC companies have done. Jordan was the technician this visit and he was super. I highly recommend Alexander.
