Technician that did the diagnostics was inexperienced and had issues with all the machines she used. I am not confident the prescriptions I received for eyeglasses or contacts is accurate. I will be going to an optometrist to have eyes checked by them to make sure it is accurate.

The office was newly renovated clean, not crowded and spacious. I have been seeing Dr Faye Knoll for a few years and have found her both knowledgeable and caring. She explains things clearly and has a very nice manner about her. I like the office and staff. The parking is easy and the location is easy to get to right off the Long Island Expressway.

Dr. Steven Greenberg takes care of my entire family for years with excellent care. Diagnosed my mother with undiagnosed high blood pressure and is on medicine with her general practitioner. Super doctor!!!!

I received misinformation from 3 different people regarding my questions. They dont listen to what you are asking for, and when they do, they give incorrect information. Will not visit here again. 2 stars because they are prompt.

Dr was quick, short and seemed annoyed with me for my eye complaints.Because of that I didn’t get to even explain exactly what I was experiencing.When I asked about eye surgery her response was “ you’ll still need to wear reading glasses “No offer to let me think about the surgery or how it even works.Receptionist was very friendly and so was the assistant who ck’d my eyes . But I was definitely not comfortable with the eye dr.

I am posting this on behalf of my mother who is 84 years old and saw Dr. Knoll For Cataracs.She was more interested in selling her about her dry eye. Which she did not complain about she could not believe that my mother could see the vision test with her dry eye. My mother kept saying I am not complaining about my dry eye. I am here for Cataracs.So my mother went to the pharmacy to pick up the drops for her “dry” eye it was $400. I could not be with her that day to be her advocate it’s amazing how insensitive these doctors are these days to the elderly

I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars. Review sights should consider extra stars for outstanding and superb doctors, like Dr Faye Knoll!!!!!! She has been an absolute God-send! She is the most dedicated physician I have ever met in my life. My mother came to her because she has severe RA. The RA attacked her eye and started to melt her cornea. Dr. Knoll took immediate action to save my mothers vision. And in addition, she took the time to coordinate with the other doctors that were working with my mom. She was so concerned about my moms health that she gave us her cell number and told us to text her at any time with questions. She also took our cell numbers and literally calls us daily to discuss my moms well-being. I can only wish that all doctors took their jobs this seriously. This is her calling! She is beautiful inside and out. God Bless her! Lastly, In case its not obvious, I would recommend her a million times over! When you have Dr. Faye Knoll, you have the best!

My first time here. Everyone was very friendly. My exam went well. Dr answered all my questions. I was very comfortable with this office. Thank you. I would definitely recommend to someone.

Dr. Knoll is fantastic. Caring, kind and engaged-she makes you feel as though she truly cares about you as a person, not just a patient coming through the door. I moved further west, but am absolutely willing to make the drive to see her.

Went to this office as a new patient just needing a simple update on my prescription. Knowing what I know now I wouldnt have gone. Everyone was very helpful and nice, from the time I made the appointment, to multiple calls a few days before to confirm my appointment.Reception employees were very nice, took my insurance cards and scanned them in along with my license. I had one of the office workers do an initial test on me and then she dilated my pupils. I then saw Dr. Knoll who did a little more of an exam on me, nothing crazy as this was just to get a new prescription. I asked some questions about a previous condition I had and that is it.Here is where it went wrong, and I partially blame myself but it still stings. I didnt realize they were listed as a specialist and my co-pay instead of being $10 was $50 + $25 contact fitting fee.If you are in need of a basic eye exam and nothing more DO NOT go here. Youll will over pay like whoa and learn from my lesson where I basically made a $65 donation to this practice, definitely NOT worth it. Nothing against them in general and yes I should have done some research but nobody mentioned anything to me about it and I ended up overpaying by a lot. When I called back a few days later to figure out where I went wrong everyone on the phone was super nice, very helpful, understanding and apologetic but there isnt anything they can do sadly. Save your money, go to somebody else for a regular eye exam or else you will regret it.I will not be going back for this reason.

Walking through the door I knew this was the right place to go. Kind, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff! Thorough testing done before and a nice meeting with the operating doctor. I had Dr. John Mauro, this guy is great really felt comfortable trusting him with my visions future. Surgery went quick and so was the recovery!! I was able to see the next day and go to work. Almost no irritation, just a little light sensitivity... nothing glasses or drops could fix. This is the place to go !!

I had my first ever eye exam in the Holbrook office with Dr. Knoll. She was amazing, I have never been to an office where I was in and out without any problems. She was very caring and helped me out with my red eyes due to allergies. I give this office and Dr. Knoll 5 Stars, everyone should go to this office and see Dr. Knoll to get the same 5 Star treatment that I did. I am happy to say that I will be a patient at this office for life!!

Good doctors but like all doctors appointment never on time. Why is my time not important. May be leaving if not in within an hour of appointment time. They need chairs in waiting room. Current ones very uncomfortable if I have to sit here this long

I had PRK surgery done by Dr. Mauro and it was a great experience. I was really nervous to get it done the day of my surgery but Dr. Mauro made me feel very comfortable which made me calm and ready. My vision is great now and i am so happy i did it. I love waking up and being able to see without putting on my glasses or my contact lenses. I just had my first eye exam with Dr. Knoll in the Holbrook office. I have never been to a doctor’s office that is ran so efficiently, from the girls at the front desk to the technicians and most importantly Dr. Knoll. To say that I had a good experience would be putting it mildly. From the time I walked in to the end of the visit I felt relieved due to the fact that everyone was so polite and caring. Dr. Knoll was by far the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. My family and I will forever be patients. I recommend everyone to go see her and have a wonderful experience like myself!

Having worn glasses for a very long time, I cannot say enough good things about having the lasik surgery done. From the onset, I found the staff personnel and everyone I came into contact with extremely friendly and more important, calming! Being this was the only surgery I did not want to initially have, as I would be awake, Dr. Mauro and his team possessed an assurance that it was much worse than I anticipated. The procedure itself for both eyes was over in 12 minutes and I did not feel ANYTHING! The remainder of that night and the week following (to date) I have had no issues. I cannot thank Dr. Mauro and his staff enough for their assisting me in making the decision to do this surgery as it has truly opened my eyes to a new and brighter way of seeing things!I highly recommend people consider this as no one was more apprehensive than me and now no one is more of a fan than I am today. It has been one week since my Lasik procedure and I cannot be any happier with my results. Prior to my Lasik surgery, when Dr. Martin had asked me to read the large letter E at the top of the eye chart without my lenses, I just laughed and shook my head. Since then, my nearsighted vision and my astigmatism had been corrected with great success, my vision is now 20/20 one week post surgery.Everyone at North Shore Eye Care works seamlessly to ensure a stress free experience.All the credit for my successful surgery and perfect vision goes to Dr. Jeff Martin, and the team at North Shore Eye Care. I have to say that I am reading the reviews on this site, and I noticed that some of the reviews are actual employees. I am shocked that no one caught this yet. I know this because I remember I called in September and had questions about Lasik and I spoke to Kyan. He was a very nice and polite young man but he works there. Then there is another review from a Lauren but I called the office on Saturday Feb 15 and she answered the phone. She even gave me her last name because she was not very polite , she spoke extremely fast and called me Honey. Based on these reviews I dont know If I would be a patient again of this practice. I am reading them and I feel like I am being deceived. The reviews are not real , so how can I be assure now the sincerity that I get at times from the staff is real. Personally, I think we are being cheated out of real reviews and accurate experiences. I dont find that this is fair. Reconsidering being a patient of Dr. Zweibels now because of this.

I went to Dr. Knoll for a free LASIK Exam in Holbrook. The office was very calming and pleasant (and I loved their tranquil state of the art brand new surgical suite in Smithtown). After the most thorough eye exam of my life, by Dr. Knoll told me I was a good candidate & my 20/200 vision could be corrected to 20/15. Dr. Knoll went over all of the details of the procedure for me and broke it down in a way that I could really understand. When I made the appointment for my procedure, they sent me home with a folder full of information. Despite having it all in writing, I still called a few times to ask questions (Can I go to a football game the day after my procedure?) and every time, every person I spoke to was incredibly patient. Any time I needed to speak directly to the doctor there was no wait time they transferred me right through and made me feel at ease I felt like I was in good hands. I also liked that they included free adjustments for life - so long as you go for your one day, one week, one month, three month, and one year follow-up appointments, youre covered for life. As the day for my procedure came, I was nervous. Thank goodness they offered me an anti-anxiety RX, I was going to need it. Despite my nerves, I went for it. Well, I took my anti-anxiety pills, waited a half-hour for them to kick in, and then I went for it. And I have to say, it was easy. Dr. Knoll took me in a quiet little room ahead of time and went through the procedure again, and then I went in for the procedure - she checked my eyes, put me under one machine, moved me over to another machine, checked my eyes again, and gave me a pair of sunglasses to wear home. As soon as I got home and slept for a few hours, I woke up feeling great. How great? You have to put in eye drops every hour for the first day, and by the end of the first day I had to ask myself which eye? Dr. Knoll even called that evening to see how I was doing.My eyesight is now 20/15 and I only wish I had done it sooner. Everyone at the North Shore Eye Care office of in Holbrook and Smithtown was amazing, they were so helpful, and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend them. I loved Dr. Knoll. And it just so happens that my father was having some issues with his eyes a couple weeks after my surgery so I brought him to see Dr. Knoll as well. After being diagnosed with dry eyes, within two seconds of looking at his eyes, Dr. Knoll knew he had cornea infections. She saw him for several weeks, and explained each week why she was making the decisions that she was making - we had to change solutions, type of contact, etc to identify what could be wrong with his eyes. She was so sweet, made him feel like he was in good hands and put me at ease that my dad was getting the best care available. She was very good at answering my questions and along with thanking me for recommending him to Dr. Knoll he expressed to me that he found the staff to be super nice as well and always smiling! I recommend North Shore Eye Care to everyone. Never had such easy, informative virtually painless, experiences at the doctors.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for Dr. John Mauro and North Shore Eye Care. Since kindergarden, I’ve worn glasses for nearsightedness and I thought I would for the rest of my life. I’d toyed with the idea of having a LASIK procedure, but it aways seemed too unattainable; it sounded expensive and scary. After a regular check-up at North Shore Eye Care, I took the idea of LASIK a little more seriously. Within a week I had my evaluation and saw Liz, the Surgical Coordinator. We discussed pricing, financing, and we talked about the realities and benefits of the surgery. She didn’t try to sell me (which I admired and appreciated) and days later, my surgery was booked.What I’d come to realize on the day of the operation is that I’d had absolutely nothing to worry about. The procedure is a breeze, everything is explained to you, and you’re done in what feels like seconds (and is really minutes). Dr. Mauro and his team work like a machine- a machine that listens to Boy George during surgery :) . Their camaraderie and professionalism (along with the Xanax) puts you at ease no matter how unnerving you found the consent form to be.I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Mauro and North Shore Eye Care. I will forever be an unofficial spokesperson because I’m so unbelievably happy with the care and results (20/20 vision!) that I’ve received.

When I first went to North Shore Eye Care for my Lasic Eye Surgery I was a lottle nervious, as anyone would be. The staff there was absolutly amazing, the wait was short, and I felt that everyone in the office really cared about me. Dr. Mauro has a great bed side mannor and mad me feel great about my surgery.The procedure was vertually painless and i will never forget that on 12/28/2011 at exactly 4:12 i could see across the room to the clock, and read it. This was very exciting because I had been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old (and been wanting the procedure since). I knew that I had chosen the right Dr. when i woke up in the middle of the night to rubbing my eye (apparently i pulled the eye shield off in my sleep) and I was in the office getting looked at as soon as i called.The team of staff at North Shore Eye Care is absolutly phenominal, and i recomend them to all of my family and friends. I would have the surgery again today if i had to, and would not hesitate at all to entrust my eyes to these wonderful doctors
