I’ve been seen Dr. Karl since 2012. My primary reason has been for pain management relating to cervical disc degeneration, which I have been fighting against dating back to the early 2000s. I would have debilitating muscle spasms in my neck and down my back behind my shoulder blades lasting 5-7 days at a time. Some of these spasms were so severe, they would rotate and contort my neck and head so that it was noticeably crooked! I could flex my neck muscles to straighten out, but it would just revert to crooked when I relaxed. It was so painful! Severe headaches would accompany these episodes and the frequency was almost constant with just a few days or a week between. I had seen orthopedics, pain management specialists, acupuncturists and other chiropractors. None of these resources were able to look at my situation and determine the root cause. Dr. KarI determined I had almost no proper curvature in my neck, nor space between my vertebrae which was very narrow and inconsistent over most of my cervical spine. After much effort, education and following the care plan Dr. Karl layed out... These episodes were reduced from 2-3 weeks a month to 2-3 times per year! Xrays confirmed that these techniques restored my curve and spacing. I am truly grateful to Dr. Karl for his practice, knowledge and kindness. You will find me maintaining myself and getting my crack on just about every Monday morning on Dr. Karl’s table.
