Shea does my cleanings who always makes it an easy, enjoyable experience and gets me in and out pretty quick.Dr Tom has done my dental work, and helped get my teeth back on track. He really helps by setting expectations well when he’s doing work, so you know what he’s doing and how long you’ll be in the chair for.The office is also quite nice with an open floor inside, and has modern tools which all help to make coming here an overall great experience.

Dr. Frank DePaola is so passionate about what he does and it shows in ALL he does! He is extremely knowledgeable and always on the cutting edge of what’s new and more importantly, what’s best! I like the team at Dr. Frank DePaola and Associates very much. Yesterday Dr. Thom completed my new crown and he is a real artist and very meticulous in everything he does! The office has all state of the art dental equipment and you really feel that you are getting top notch care.

I love this dentist office. My hygienist is amazing and the Drs are great. I worked in the dental industry for 18 years so I’m always a bit skeptical, but every time I come here it exceeds my expectations. Good appointment times. Super friendly staff. They really do keep up to date on their technology and the projects they use (I know the brands well and they use all the good stuff!). I’ve been for two cleanings and one filling. Absolutely no issues with any of it at all, so glad I found them!!!

My last appointment was with Dr Thomas Shahinian his chair-side manner is warm and, and he keeps the patient informed of what he is doing and why in layman’s language. It’s not often that you’ll hear someone say that they look forward to visiting their dentist, but it’s definitely true in my case. Disappointed in my experience here. I used the office for an Invisalign treatment. As my treatment was coming to an end during the shut down, I was looking for advice on how to prevent my teeth from shifting back without new trays. I had hopes of getting duplicate trays to last until I could get back in for refinements. I reached out first via their website form on 4/16. Message was ignored. Tried again on 5/6, again, nothing. Ive placed 3 phone calls (last call on 5/11) to their answering service...none of my calls were returned. I tried their chat function as recently as 5/8, once again, nothing. I sent another email on 5/12. This was responded with a ...well get back to you by the end of the week, thank you for your continued patience. That timeline has come and gone. Ive given them a full month and they have yet to address the situation. $5k worth of dental work at risk and they cant return a phone call. Its too bad, because I believe the dentists in the office do actually care...you just cant get past the front desk.***UPDATE***Id like to thank the office for reaching out and getting me scheduled as soon as possible to sort everything out. It seems there was a lack of communication between the contracted answering service and the doctors staff. I was told the issue had been addressed and a resolution put in place.

Dr. DePaola is a brilliant dentist. He goes the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of. I got a night guard for grinding using his tensing method and my sleep even improved. I have never felt in better hands.

With it being my first experience at Frank DePaola, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It has a gorgeous clean aesthetic (quite important for a dentist office). Great view of the city but not to mention the employees are super welcoming and are truly concerned about your teeth. Shay was my hygentist for my cleaning, can you say thorough?! I haven’t felt better after a cleaning before. She took her time and made sure my teeth were squeaky clean. Very comforting and just makes you feel at home being in her chair!

I have been seeing Dr. DePaola for over 10 years. He is an incredible clinician who always makes time for questions or urgent issues I have had over the years. I liked him so much I brought the whole family over.

I made an appointment on zocdoc for a sleep apnea consult, but never received confirmation; so when I called the office to confirm the next day, the receptionist told me she didn’t see me in the schedule, and now the time I made the appointment for was no longer available. You’d think she would of attempted to help me as it was their error not mine. Nope! What’s the point of having Zocdoc if they don’t check the appointments? Big disappointment went to another dentist as I was not available at the day and time she suggested.

Dr. DePaola truly goes above and beyond for his patients. I’ve suffered with TMJ syndrome for over 8 years and have always slept with a mouth guard. However I made the jump to get a specialized mouth guard made my Dr Depola and it has made a world of difference in my life. My day to day symptoms have subsided. Dr Depola goes out of his way for his patients to ensure quality care and has worked around my difficult schedule when scheduling appointments.

Really enjoyed my visit compared to other dentists I’ve been to. I mostly worked with the hygienist Jessica I believe her name was so my review is based on my experience with her. She was gentle and friendly, which put my mind at ease. Was thorough with all aspects of the cleaning and X-ray procedure. The space itself is private, clean and set up nicely. The chair was comfortable and I felt relaxed given being at the dentist. Only saw the dentist for a few min who looked at my X-rays and made some recommendations. Overall good experience and I’ll be happy to return in a few months. Would recommend.

Clean, modern, state of the art office! Got a mailer for $79 new patient and tested it out. Ended up joining their membership program which covers all my cleaning, exams and X-rays each year for a minimal monthly fee. Happy with the office experience and staff.

Had my first cleaning/visit today and it was so thorough and comprehensive! The dental hygenist was welcoming and informative, and Dr DePaola took extra time to explain and educate me about my jaw condition TMJ. Typically I doctor hop because it takes me a while to find someone I like but I will definitely stay with this practice. At check out my follow up appointments were easily scheduled.

Dr. DePaola and his entire staff are life savers! After months of severe jaw and tooth pain that went misdiagnosed and mistreated with multiple other dentists, Dr. DePaola took ample time to hear me out and perform multiple tests until he got to the root of the problem. His philosophy of doing everything possible before performing any invasive procedures was reassuring and comforting. As someone who has had many bad experiences with various dentists over the years, I can honestly say that Dr. DePaola and his staff are working primarily for what is in your best interests. I highly recommend especially if you have any anxieties about going to the dentist!

My BF just got billed for dental work that he never even received and on top of that the office went and changed the dentist we had booked the appointment with (because only 1 dentist takes our insurance at DePaola) they instead assigned Dr. DePaola who doesnt take our insurance, so instead we got charged for using an OUT OF NETWORK dentist. Plus our insurance noted that the office submitted a claim for procedures that was NEVER even done.Completely, UNTRUSTWORTHY!

Extremely disappointed. They had billed me after 3 years saying I did not pay for something. Unbelievable timing and lies as I had paid for everything upfront after my appointments.Viola, the office manager, was extremely rude and incompetent. She hung up the phone on me twice to divert from why I was being charged. The staff is a huge disappointment.

I have no idea what DR. DePaola is like as a dentist but his office staff reminds me of five way tag team midget mud wresling. I was trying to get a complex procedure done which required the cooperation of 3 doctors. This is something his office simply could not do. There are 3 or 4 of them with no organization and every time you call you get a different one who knows nothing about the procedure. They also seem incapable of using the telephone. I would tell them if they reached an impass to simply call me. They never did and would just drop the planning on the ground until weeks with nothing happening would cause me to call again. I would call up get someone who knew nothing and the dance continued. I eventually moved on to another dentist. This procedure would have cost 20k at least and the staff treated me like a leper. Great office terrible office staff.

I was there a week ago Dr Katie is sooooo good and she takes her time with the child. My daughter has a fear toward dentists I don’t know why, Dr Katie was the 4th dentist that i introduced my daughter to so they can clean her mouth mind you she wouldn’t even let the previous dentist touch her mouth at all. she made my 3 year old feel so comfortable on that chair, She made my child so happy by troducing her to every tool she was going to use and after that Dr Katie spent some time with my daughter in the play room asking her too cook stuff for her something she didn’t have to do but she did and my daughter still talks about that hot made pretend pretzel she cooked for Dr Katie. I can’t thank her enough for making my child feel so comfortable in her hands and getting the job done. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER.

As someone who hates going to the dentist, just walking through the door causes enough anxiety to just suffer through the pain. My experience here was amazing (if that can be a real thing). From the front desk personnel (Janet) who was very kind and calming who started off my experience in a welcoming manner. The nurses and doctors are very calm and kind which lowers the anxiety level of anyone in the room. Some chairs have a fantastic view of the NYC skyline. Overall, I left feeling like it may not be quite as long between checkups. For me that is a huge deal.

I have been a patient of Dr. Depaola Jr. since the year 2000. I continue to be amazed at his, as well as the staffs, efficiency and competence. I am a doctor myself and I recognize quality patient care. The care that you recieve here is top notch.

Everything about this dentist is awesome. My husband and I have been going for 15+ years and we are so happy. We love how they are on the cutting edge of dental innovation and technology. The doctors attend conferences to learn about new developments and then apply what they learn. It goes way beyond just teeth – they treat the whole mouth/jaw health. Between my husband’s sleep apnea mouth piece and my bruxism and tmj, we certainly have various issues, but we are never treated as a burden, but instead everyone goes out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and getting the best possible treatment. In addition to the usual teeth stuff, such as cleanings, cavities, etc., I also got new front teeth on both the top and bottom (veneers) and the great thing about them is that nobody knows they are not real teeth! I love that. I had worn down my teeth and they were all chipped from grinding, making for a messy smile that I was sheepish about showing. It was well worth the few weeks to get them and get them done amazingly well! I am no longer self-conscious about my smile and now I smile much more genuinely. It may seem superficial, but it is so awesome to have great teeth and a beautiful smile again. And now to protect that smile I was just fitted for a night mouth piece to wear and it’s very comfortable.I could seriously write a testament about how much I love this dentist office. Overall, I think the thing that really makes it special is the people. Everyone from the receptionists, to the assistants, to the hygienist, to the doctors, are amazing! I really cant thank them enough to taking such good care of myself and my family. We definitely recommend!

With all of my treatments from basic cleanings to a root canal, they were extremely thorough to explain all the procedures and show before and after photos. Horrible management and customer service. I paid close to 4,000 for two veneers and I told the dentist immediately after he finished I wanted my teeth filed a bit. However he argued with me that it was the proper length. I thought I would get used to it but I did not. I went back and the manager said I would have to pay for a visit even though the doctor had told me I could come back anytime tofile even without an appointment I could just drop in. I was lied to and I cannot believe that any reasonable dentist with a good reputation would not stand by their work and file down the veneers that I paid for. I was actually going to do Invisalign with him but now I have decided to go elsewhere. Do not waste your time or money on a dentist and office that clearly do not care about their patients.

Megan was my technician and she was so professional and had a wonderful bedside manner.My only issue with the group is their pre-payment policy. I had a full mouth of x-rays and standard cleaning. I had to write a check out for $345 even though I have MetLife as my dental provider.

Beware that this office is fee for service only. Not in any network. However they do submit the claims on your behalf. I only had preventive care done, but everything was clean, efficient and cordial.

The office is not only beautiful, it is also functional and has all the latest and best technology. Its a one-stop shop for our entire familys dental needs. My husband and I regularly go to Dr. DePaola and our 6 year old son sees Dr. Jenny. My son had 5 fillings and yet he still looks forward to going to the dentist!!!I have had root canals, cosmetic work, fillings, as well as regular cleanings at Dr. DePaolas office. I have also had some unique issues taken care of from damage to my teeth due to an accident when I was a child. I love that all my issues are addressed in one place and taken care of excellently! My smile has never been better and I often get compliments on my nice white teeth.The staff is professional, yet warm and friendly. I have also had a surgical procedure done by Dr. Logan and she called me several hours after the procedure as well as the next day to be sure that I was ok and not having any unexpected issues. I appreciated the follow up even though I was fine.I recommend the office often and dont mind at all travelling to Hoboken even though we live out of town.

Every time I go to The Practice at Maxwell Place I am floored with the service from reception to treatment. Due to moving throughout the tri-state area Ive been to so many dental practices and had so many sub-par/horrendous dental experiences. After going to Dr. Depaola and staff I will never go anywhere else (even if I ever wind up moving again which I dont plan to!) Dr. DePaola has such wonderful bedside manner- he always spends a lot of time with you and makes sure to answer any question and does not rush reviewing your concerns. Despite all the patients he deals with he doesnt treat you like another file. I recently had a fantastic experience fitting a new mouthguard (the MicrO2) with Dr. DePaola after 2 previous mouth guards had failed for me when I was living out of state. Dr. DePaola went through a state-of-the art very extensive process with me to fit the guard to ensure the most comfortable custom fit that would also enable compliance and results. I am ecstatic to say the guard is finally working for me fabulously- and I can now sleep better uninterrupted without waking due to apnea and tooth grinding episodes. The rest of the staff is also stellar. Its great to know you can have faith in the quality and depth of staff in a practice which you can indeed at The Practice at Maxwell Place. Last year I had my first root canal, which I was dreading, and to state that it was a breeze is not an understatement. I cant recall any discomfort I experienced under Dr. DePaola and Dr. Logans care. It was amazing! Thank you to Dr. DePaola and staff!
