I’ve been getting my hair cut at Zazu since I was 10 years old and they had a small little shop above Washington Street, so when I was planning my wedding there was only one place I trusted. Luckily for me TJ has been cutting my hair for almost 8 years at Zazu Hinsdale and Zazu Chicago, so she connected me with the wedding team at Zazu. Working with Jewell was a breeze. She was quick with responses, catered to all our requests and went above and beyond to get 12 of us scheduled in a a three hour chunk of time…and out the door EARLY! She decorated the space, made sure we had COVID-friendly treats and adapted when one of the bridesmaids requested a different service. I cannot more highly recommend for wedding services!I’d also be remiss to not mention the remarkable talents of TJ, who is such an exceptionally talented stylist. My hair has looked phenomenal for years but she outdid herself with my wedding up-do.And a very big shout-out to Angela. She works with my mom and my sister and is an exceptional stylist!

BEWARE! One of their junior assistants blow dried my hair so aggressively, my hair has fallen out so much more since then. Physical pulling of hair, especially wet hair, causes hair loss. They need to educate their stylists!!

Angelina was extremely sweet and truly a master of her craft. I’ve been going to the same stylist 3 hours south for years now. As I’m sure most people know it is hard to find a stylist you trust. I am so glad she wasn’t available or I would have never found Angelina! I love my hair, and she’s found a new regular with me!

My stylist Natalie has been doing my hair for three years and I will never go anywhere else again. She is great with vivid colors, I also love how she cuts and layers my hair. She is very professional and personable.

I go to Angelina for the volume weft hair extensions and I love them! These are by far my favorite type of hair extensions, they last a long time and are a relatively quick install. Angelina is always very professional and great at installing these! She’s also great about scheduling me in if I ever need a quick touch up! If you’re thinking of getting extensions, definitely set up a consultation with Angelina.

I found Trish on Instagram and she does my eyelash extensions! She is awesome and Im a bit picky because I came for the same eyelash girl for 3 years in the city. Im SO happy I found Trish. She listens to exactly what you want and shes SO FAST! Full set takes 45 min to an hour and a fill is 30-45 minutes. Doesnt get better than that! Go to her you wont regret it!

Received a wax the manager at hinsdale was interviewing a friend of mine , the manager was on her cellphone while I was receiving a wax . VERY unprofessional I don’t know if she took a picture but I was very uncomfortable and unhappy she didn’t let my friend finish the Brazilian service , I was as well as employee so I had to quit due to unprofessionalism

Had a great experience. The place was clean and welcoming. My nail tech J does the best job. She is friendly but most importantly she is knowledgeable and creative. If you want super fancy blinged out nails you have to see her! She will get to know your style make suggestions to fit your personality. Love her!

Went to Trish for facial twice now. She is AMAZING!!!! Very knowledgable in what she is doing and really cares about her clients. She gave me instructions on how to implement a daily cleanings/moisturizing routine to help with my eczema. Definitely worth it for me to travel from Indiana to see her to help keep my skin glowing. #TeamTrish

Had eyebrows shaped and eyelashes lifted and tinted by Trish at the Hinsdale location. She was excellent. So good in fact that I followed her from her previous salon. The previous salon was within 1/2 mile of my house, Zazu is 14 miles from my house. Trish is definitely worth the trip.

I had an awesome experience with Trish at Zazu. She is truly an expert when it comes to eyelashes. As I was looking for an alternative to eyelash extensions, she did an amazing job with the eyelash lift and tint treatment. My eyelashes look great and very happy I no longer have to use an eyelash curler! It will last for about 2 months and will definitely be coming back for my next treatment. 😊

I made my appointment for a hot stone massage at 3 pm this past Saturday. They took me in at 3:10, already being late and started doing a Swedish massage. I told to my therapist that am having a hot stone massage, she said no, that she has me down for a Swedish. She realized and said that front desk people made this mistake and she cant do a hot stone on me now, because she needs an hour for the stones to heat. Real bummer to hear that. I was really looking forward to a hot stone, because i have never had it before, and wanted to come to this specific spa because it looks really nice, and just have a relaxing great day.She offered Lava shell instead, but by the time she prepared the shells, it was already 3:20, so she was rushing during my massage, and it definitely wasnt relaxing. Then i went to pay and front desk lady was very rude and wanted to charge me $115, but the price on their menu is $95. Which was very frustrating. Overall very a very bad experience. I wont be coming back here, even though i loved my hairstylist.After Anthony responded to my review, saying to give him a call so that we can make this right, i called couple of times and each time left my phone number, no one ever called me back. Very disappointed in this spa.

Trying to book online is impossible. In order to book an appointment you have to create a username and password. I couldnt remember my password from the last time I booked an appointment, so I tried to reset my password. Unfortunately, the website would not let me create a new password (each password that I entered was denied). Very frustrating.

So happy I went to the salon, love it! I like my hair to look natural blonde. Usually hairstylist bleach my hair then put a toner on which washes off two weeks later. I don’t have the time to go to the salon every two weeks. At Zazu salon Angelina took her time really made sure to use correct strength bleach to make my hair perfectly natural looking.

So happy with my experience here! It was my first time getting my hair cut here. Heather made me feel like a new person! This will definitely be my go to for haircuts in the future. I walked in and they were able to take me within 15 min! 5/5 would recommend.

This hair salon is clean and simple. I get my hair cut here (I dont dye my hair) and it only takes about 30 minutes. Nice and quick. Ive never had a bad experience and the prices are right. My hair dresser talks just the right amount. She asks if anything new is going on but she doesnt talk my ear off, which is nice. It is also always easy for me to get an appointment for when I want.

Emmy did my cut and highlights, I’ll never go to anyone else! My highlights are still strong and she arranged them so they can grow out a bit for the ombré look. Beautiful color; the cut let’s my hair lay perfectly (even though I have a tendency to play with it a lot), no matter what I do to mess it up it goes back nicely. She has a lifelong client here :) !

My wife and I called last minute for deep tissue massage. I wasn’t expecting much with a new therapist. Dalia was excellent, great pressure, and worked hard. I will definitely come back

My wife and I scheduled a couples massage for our wedding anniversary. When we get there, the guy up front tells us that unfortunately they only have one massage therapist available (because the second one was on vacation) and that only one of us can get a massage. Um, no phone call? Did they not know there wouldnt an available therapist? We told them this was for our anniversary and that our entire day was scheduled around this. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told the manager was not there but would be coming in soon. We gave them our number and were told they would be calling us asap to let us know our options, etc. No phone call. No attempt at restitution. Nothing. My wife was so upset because its literally the only day this month that we are free at the same time to celebrate. Needless to say, we will NEVER be stepping back in to this place again. As you can see from other reviews, the customer service/management here is rather spotty. Stay away and choose one of plenty of other high-end salons who actually care about customers.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve always felt welcomed and cared for. I’ve gotten all sorts of services done like hair updo, makeup, eyebrow wax, massage, and nails. More recently they’ve renovated the nail salon area and it looks so fresh and modern. My only less than perfect experience was years ago getting my makeup done because I didn’t know they didn’t have an airbrush setup at that time.

Not what i expected. I feel like they just threw a bandaid on my hair to get me out the door. A Glaze.Willing to give them another try in a future with other services.

I go to TJ all time for a mens haircut. She is the only person I trust to do my hair. We also go there for deep tissue massages too and all the masseuses are really good. Its a little expensive but worth every penny in my opinion.

I absolutely loved my experience with Colleen Culligan! The color & cut was excellent. Although I am not one for small talk, she kept me engaged in conversation, listened to exactly what I wanted, and made it a very pleasurable experience for an introvert like myself.

I have always had a good experience at ZAZU. Friendly, talented Staff and stylists. I have visited a number of stylists and they are all very good. Some know my hair better than others. My facials and waxing services are great. All in all, If anything was ever not the best, we always work it out. That does not happen very often.

Junior stylist didn’t cut how I asked. The ends look very choppy and too short after being told that was all they could do. It was disappointing. The Downtown location seems to be better at paying more attention to client’s desired look.

Sorry to say over recent years service has declined at the Hinsdale location and with all the competition you would like to think the service would be top notch wouldn’t you? I am not the only person that feels this way either more and more of their customers are moving on to other salons in Hinsdale. The biggest difference is from the time you walk in the front door to the time you pay your bill - no one seems to be in charge. It’s like all the departments are individual shops, they don’t seem to know what the other departments are doing. The salon used to be run like an upscale salon, but now its run like a strip mall salon only with upscale prices. The extra touches such as having staff available to pay your meter for you so you could stay longer and not get a parking ticket, so you could shop or get other services or order and pickup lunch for you is gone. It is obvious that management and the other departments don’t get along, management walks around whispering. Front desk rushes you too busy to answer questions or remind you to book next services… Many small things, but they are adding up, buying products is difficult and they changed the hair color line to a product that fades after a few washes. The overall brand of Zazu has changed, it feels like they are under new ownership or are they just getting ready to sell the business?

I got my haircut there about 8 months ago it was ok but there was this very frail looking woman at the front desk shaking im almost positive she was on drugs, i was very concerned and when i asked if she was OK she responded yes she was having a lot of problems, i told the girl who cut my hair i think she needed help and she responded with shes always like that she will be fine which made me NEVER wanna go back this girl clearly needs help. Its a nice salon extremely overpriced for what it is and they should probably get better staff.

I will never be returning to Zazu after the way I was treated. I walked into Zazu after a workout class and a woman working there named Nicole looked at me as if I did not have a pot to pee in. She was extremely disrespectful. I walked in to see if they had any available appointments in the upcoming days and was looked at and treated terribly. Needless to say, I will never be returning there thanks to the disrespectful service.

Pretty marvellous masseuse named Mia who should be internationally famous! They made me and my girlfriend very comfortable, and even tho I was a guy in basically a womens spa they made me feel comfortable and went out of their way to accommodate me.

Arrived early for my 1 week old confirmed appointment and they had given it to someone else. I showed my confirmation on my phone and they said that didnt mean anything because it was not in their computer. Terrible customer service!

I had a horrible experience here!! I got my hair done by angelena and she was so rude right away . I asked for a brown balayage and she just put some highlights in and called it a day and I was charged $200 what a joke!! she is awful it was my first time there and I asked for a senior stylist not one that just got outta school she should go back to school and learn more about hair!!
