Where do I begin…between miscommunication on what I wanted my style to be or the tug of war the stylist was having with my hair. Go here if you want your edges to leave your scalp. First of all, I live in Brooklyn, and came here off of the really great reviews from ppl who have been here. Creating an appointment was easy and a simple deposit was requested, everything else was a disappointment. From trying to explain to the hair braider that she was pulling my hair too tight or literally arguing with a mystery person on the phone about the quoted cost. I was also blamed that I didn’t tell my stylist she was making my braids the wrong size, because let’s be honest everyone can see the back of their heads. Honestly, it felt like a scam, as I showed the stylist a picture from there Instagram page of the exact style I wanted, but what I got was the smallest braids known to mankind which subsequently resulted in an additional 20 charge. If you are looking for stylists that value the health of your hair and the actual meaning of protective style don’t go here. I literally have taken numerous photos of the bumps and irritation done to my hairline. No one should have to worry if a protective style is going cause them hair loss. trash and also they spelled braids wrong in their website name…that should have been a sign.

It was the most unprofessional service Ive ever encountered. I scheduled an appointment two months ahead of time. When I called to confirm, I was told that there was no appointment on file by the owner, SONIA. She said she couldnt accommodate after sending her a slew of proof (including my ZELLE and her thank-you notes for money). I sucked it up and made the decision to go to her salon next week, with the condition that she would be doing my hair. She returned and stated that she would not be the one doing hair. Im a small business owner myself, so I understand how things go wrong. However, I will never handle my clients in this manner. Embarrassingly impolite. Say this to say, please confirm your appointment before arrival.

My go to spot for neat braids, prices are reasonable. Downside is the location. Parking is an issue.

I am tender headed so Im kinda of picky as to where i get my hair braided. Because someplace braid your hair very tight. This place hands down is the best there professional, fast, and it doesnt feel like there yanking your scalp off your head.

Visited the salon on 2/8/2020. Seems like everyone was getting knotless braids done with the exception of a few. Arrived at 255pm for a 3pm appointment and waited a little under an hour. There was a staff of 8 woman all working. I expected to wait, so no biggie. I was very impressed with the teamwork of the ladies. They are truly gifted at what they do, and were very pleasant. They communicate with you and do an absolutely PHENOMENAL job! I absolutely ADORE my knotless braids. You can check them out on Instagram at Crowned Braids to see their work. During my time there, they serviced about 15 clients (and that was evening) let me tell you, not one person walked out of there whose hair didnt look good! I will definitely be back and refer others. Btw, I drove from NYC after seeing a friend of mine with consistently great work!

Visited this establishment 3 times and each time was worse then the last. Got Senegalese twists and they are already looking like they are unraveling. Will not use them again.

Jaz does great sew ins but I had my sew in for a month the most and when I took it out she cut my bundles so bad and sew it every which way in my head that it took me two hours to take my hair out I would never let her do another sew in my head again then on top of it she doesn’t use a net she doesn’t grease your hair after she washes it 175 is not worth the headache
