I’ve been here 3 times now and each time has been a nightmare. When I had my actual procedure the nurses were extremely young and had zero bedside manner. They didn’t explain ANYTHING! Then when I called to speak with the nurse on the phone and ask questions again the experience was awful! I will absolutely be finding a new dermatologist!

I’m very satisfied with my care from Holly Chandler. I highly regard her expertise and never feel rushed. My questions are always welcomed and always answered.

My visit with Holly was again a special treat. She is super kind and an utmost professional like they rarely come. The staff is excellent, courteous and makes a lasting impression as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rydzyk for more than 11 years. She is both charming and competent. Unfortunately, I have decided to leave her care due to how the office and visits are managed. While it is somewhat the culture to wait at the doctors office, this place takes it to a whole new level. You wait too long in the lobby, too long once admitted to the exam room to see the assistant, too long again to see the doctor, too long again to wait for whatever procedure is done, and too long after the procedure. It is normal to be kept waiting 20-40 minutes for each of these steps. This did not just happen one time. It happens on every single visit. This is a system they have designed clearly for the efficiency of the doctor and staff. But it is very disrespectful to the patient/customer. I am taking my business elsewhere. Disappointing. There are better choices out there.

I saw Holly Chandler today for mole check. I feel like I’m visiting a friend not a doctor. I’ve seen her for several years. She has given me good info on skin issues and hair loss.

Dr. Gasch was very rude to the patient and completely uncooperative during the my sons most recent visit. He even made fun of the patient during the exam and told the patient not to waste his time when the patient asked questions. Moreover, he walked away a few times during the exam and distorted the fact in the visit note - extremely hostile, unethical, unprofessional...

Staff is always friendly and professional. I feel very comfortable going to clinic in not so comfortable situations. They are wonderful at explaining the process and making you feel very well taken care of.

Dr. Bernard Gash is the best dermatologist in Beaverton/Portland area. I’ve been his patient for a years and I always get the best treatment from him. Thank you.

Professional nice place for my skin cancer exams.

Very unprofessional I had a confirmed appointment at 8:30 in the morning on February 19th 2021. I received both text messages and emails about this appointment and when I showed up I was told that I didnt have an appointment that morning. But there is basically nothing that they could do and they scheduled me for a appointment two weeks out without talking to me about it and I wont be able to make that appointment because I have other things going on. I would not recommend this place to anybody you will just be wasting your time please find someplace else to get your laser hair done.

I have been here several times over the last few years after a referal from my primary care physician. Hollie and her assistants Patrick and Amanda have been extremely helpful, attentive, and friendly at each appointment. They are always very thorough and make sure to ask questions and let me talk as needed. They show that they care, and make you feel comfortable. Front office staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

About a week before our son was to leave for college, he went to have a lesion checked on his thumb. He was told that it was likely a wart. They proceeded to freeze it off and told him that if that didnt work, then to follow up with a Wart Stick, which he could purchase over the counter at any local drugstore. The procedure in fact did NOT work, so he purchased the Wart Stick for about $10.What lead me to write this review? Now, they are asking me to pay $225, for something that they never gave an estimate for, nor checked to see how much our insurance would cover, not to mention that the $10 Wart Stick did more than the $225 procedure did for getting rid of the wart!!I called to complain about the bill, due to the fact that we were never informed of the charge. The girl on the phone was nice enough to say she understood my frustration and apologized, after informing me that they have since updated their policies, and that shes sorry it wasnt prior to my son going in....Every other medical office I have ever been to has given an estimation of cost prior to proceeding with something of this nature. Then, as an informed person, one can contact their insurance company (many offices do this for their patients) and choose how they wish to proceed. Not just do it, and then send you an unexpected $225 bill. Especially for something as trivial as a wart...

Wow reading some of these negative reviews was surprising to me since my experience was exceptional both times I have been there. I did not need the care of a Dermatologist, I needed some minimally invasive cosmetic procedures on my face to turn the back the hands of time just a little. My first visit was a consultation with a young lady named Andrea. She was very professional and very thorough with her evaluation. We decided on a course of treatment and my second visit was her performing said treatment. She explained everything while she worked on me and I also had input throughout the procedure. Suffice it to say I was extremely pleased with the results. She is very well trained but it takes more than that, she is also an artist who could visualize the after and bring it to life. I would recommend her with no hesitation. I had no issues with the staff in front - they were equally as professional and pleasant.

The center is just a money making machine. They have almost zero concerns for the patient and their problems and just try to lynch money at any cost. My son suffered multiple burns during the blue ray treatment and physician has almost no concerns. The staff has almost no knowledge about how the Excimer machine works and unable to treat the burns caused by inappropriate treatment. I will never take my son there again.

Dr. Gasch and his staff were all very friendly to me. I went in to have him look at some moles/birthmarks. He knew right away what each one was and if any were dangerous. He assured me they were all fine, but we took one out anyways. Quick, easy and painless procedure removing it. Will definitely go back if I ever have any more skin questions!

I went to see Dr. Gasch in 2018 for severe eczema. This odd plastic looking man prescribed me Elidel which is a non-steroidal cream, mostly for children (side note: Im almost 34). The drug was suuuuuuper expensive @$125 a tube. Im pretty sure the rep for that drug sure did some nice things for this office to be promoted because that product was absolute trash. The problem is I needed the stronger steroids to control the redness, itching, and weeping of my skin. Guess what, the next doc I go to is an allergist who actually listened and gave me Densonide .5%. My skin cleared up almost instantly after 2 uses. Point is, dont waste your time and money, go where people listen to you (and look a little less plastic). Also, the densonide was free with my insurance, 2 tubes.

UPDATE: I got their bill and it wasnt good. They added a $250 fee for a cancer screening, which I made very clear to the MA that I did not want. Before you go to this office, make sure you have a recording devise so that you can record the cost that they quote you and make sure you tell them DO NOT give me a VISUAL CANCER SCREENING and make sure you watch the MA write it in your chart! This is where I think most ppl are getting ripped off. The doctor wont even tell you that hes doing it and if your exposing any part of your skin, hell just take his flashlight and quickly run it down your arm or something then bill you $250 bucks! Also, make sure you get pre-authorization from your health ins AND ask how much a procedure will cost before its actually done....GET IT IN WRITING.During my appt, I asked the cost of the procedure before the doctor even walked in the room and I was very clear in telling them I did not want a cancer screening. They were NOT upfront about the price at first and said that they could give me the CPT codes to call my insurance and find out. Well, I work with health ins companies all the time and I know how the process works. So I pressed them for dollar amount that they would be billing my health insurance. I told the MA to go check with their billing dept while I waited. I then asked the MA to write it down for me and to also make sure that she noted in my chart that I DO NOT WANT A VISUAL CANCER SCREENING. This is the only reason I was able to get them to remove the $250 fee. Im grateful for these reviews....otherwise, I would have had no idea that I needed to be prepared to fight them on an unauthorized procedure.Had it not been for their shady billing practices, I would have given them 5 stars.Dr. Gasch was super nice and made me feel comfortable. His MA was also super friendly and knowledgeable. She numbed the area of the incision and was super gentle...I hardly felt a thing and was scared for no reason! Not to mention, Dr. Gaschs sick sense of fashion...that man knows how to dress! I was in and out, in less than an hour. They were also super accommodating by allowing me to make a back-to-back appointment for Botox, which was super convenient.

Dr. Gasch is amazing and the technician Liz Muralt has changed my life. I had rosacea on my face really bad and had to wear heavy makeup to cover the redness. After 2 treatments with Liz I can now wear tinted sunscreen and powder to go to work and my skin looks amazing. Highly recommend!!

Center for Dermatology in Hillsboro denies patient’s needed medical care that has serious illnesses such as cancer based on ability to pay. This includes people who are struggling to pay their deductible payments and the clinic has already received their hundreds or thousands of dollars from insurance. My husband has skin cancer and was in the middle of a three part, time sensitive (3 to 5 weeks) treatment. Due to a small ($240) past due bill they cancelled his appointment without notifying us. We received confirmation of the appointment and drove an hour and a half where we were told the appointment was cancelled. They informed us (even though they have pre-authorization from insurance) that we would need to pay the self-pay cost at the time of the procedure as well as the past due amount putting the cost at over $1,000. Apparently this is the policy at both Center for Dermatology locations. I have never heard of this kind of blatant unethical practice and undeniably poor customer service in health care. There are much more ethical and customer friendly places. Please don’t let this happen to you! My husband will have to begin his treatment all over again, putting him at risk of further cancerous growths.

Had two appointments with them for a skin condition. They were very helpful and the condition cleared up in a couple weeks. I will be going back at least yearly for a mole check. Very friendly but extremely busy so don’t be surprised if you have a bit of a wait.

Ive been going to this location for lasering my acne scars, and preventive acne control. I meet with Elizabeth and Holly respectively. They are both amazing and helpful providers and my skin has really improved thanks to them. The staff has always been friendly.

I have been seeing Dr gasch for years now. He is always upbeat and thorough. I love his staff. Front desk is always gteat. Have seen Liz for some issues and she remembers me even though its been a while since I was in. Normally go to the Hillsboro office.

LOVE Dr. Gasch! He came highly recommended to me. One of my good friends looks better every year so I asked, “What’s your secret?” She exclaimed, “Dr. Gasch!” So I made an appt immediately and now see why he’s every woman’s best kept secret. Front staff is awesome but the cancellation policy sucks big time. They charge 100$ even if you call to cancel in 24 hrs time.

Dr. Ryzdick is one of the best people in the world. She really cares; she even called me back when she was on a vacation, far far away, which involved scuba diving. I am treated with love and respect.

I have never been seen so many times, 7 out of 10 appointments, and still no answers. Only thousands of dollars paid to then. And their considered specialists? They are Only in it for the money! Pure Robbery!

As soon as I told the lady that the time for an appointment that she was offering wasnt going to work for me she hung up on me. There was no sorry we couldnt make it work, not even a goodbye or have a good day. Rude.

Update 2021 back with new rash and hair loss due to meds and stress. The product treatment I was given was successful to people on the staff and I hope it works for me. And it does no require expensive meds or procedures! Dr Gaush is great at honing in on the problem by LISTENING and asking questions.I love that I can go in with many issues and they let me combine it with a yearly check up! I wish all my other doctors would do that!I have been successfully treated for rosacia, facial spider veins (laser) and a mystery rash on 30% of my body that stumped my primary care. I wanted to rip my skin off but I was well on my way to recovery once I had the correct RX from Dr Gasch. I found out I was allergic to my hair products and some types of clothing dye. bam problem solved

We read some great reviews about this office but have been disappointed. My husband went to get treatment for some difficult warts on his thumb and after two different types of treatment, the warts are still there. My husband was also frustrated with Dr. Gaschs arrogant manner. I went and saw Dr. Rydsic for a skin condition. After two appointments, I have no answers and am no further educated and my condition is still progressively getting worse. Dr. Rydsic and her assistant were not forthcoming with information and only offered textbook answers when pressed. I will not be going back.

My husband recently saw Dr. Gasch for an abnormality on his nose. He did some initial treatment for questionable spots around his face, but referred us to the Skin Cancer Surgery Center for Mohs treatment. The identification of cancer by Dr. Gasch was critical. And we thank him greatly for this, and for the surgery recommendation.I have since identified an area on my nose that I decided to see a doctor for. Dr. Gasch was booked so the reception staff could see an earlier appointment with Dr. Rydzig. So Im seeing her this week. Ill report out on that after my visit.The reception staff was great, answered phones quickly, and reviewed open schedules quickly. The only negative I could have there is I was hearing another receptionist quite loudly in the background. Id recommend noise cancelling headsets for them.
