Very knowledgeable and answered my questions. My Doctor left his practice and so I needed a new one. My neighbors told me that Dr. Krenzel was a wonderful doctor and after my office visit Im happy to say that I found myself a new doctor.

He is the best. Every other Dr.wouldnt touch my 3rd.hip replacements. Dr. Said he could do it.after all I wasnt walking the way I was, so we did the surgery .and it is amazing walking great no limp. Love this Dr.

Dr krenzel did a full hip replacement for me 4 years ago and I have been very happy with the new hip. In June of this year I had to have a total knee replacement. I am walking and going on with my life without pain. He is a very kind and generous person who is willing to spend time with you. I feel very comfortable with him as my doctor. I feel sorry that with covid going on other people cannot get the care that they need. Ourpeople in government need to change this so people can get the help that they need now not 6 months from now or a year from now.

Professionals and explanations are in laymans terms for understanding.From ladies to check one in, continuing through x-ray and on to physicians assistant and finally the Doctors thorough examination and surgery, my situation was handled professionally by Dr. Krenzel and entire staff. In fact I recommended 3 individuals and they had the same experience. Highly recommend!

What a difference from my last appointment at ortho Carolina in Hickory. Dr. Krenzel was personable and engaged me in conversation. The first time I did not have a good experience, but this time it was perfect! He was knowledgeable, and gave me advice on how to handle my injury. He also has an amazing sense of humor! Happy he is my doctor!

Great experience from check in person to nurses toX-ray tech to PA to Dr Krenzel to the check out lady. They were all wonderful and took good care of me.

I just had total knee replacement10 days ago. I am already improving daily. The entire staff at Ortho Carolina, Hickory, were extremely professional, pleasant and accommodating. Navigating all of the paperwork for an upcoming surgery can be overwhelming but they assisted with that, as well. Dr. Brian Krenzel, having extended his expertise by completing a Fellowship in Total knee replacement, is highly skilled. He explained the surgery and answered all of my questions, beforehand. Then he very efficiently preformed the surgery. I had absolutely no problems in recovery and am now on the road to recovery!

Really like Dr Krenzel and the staff. Only thing not acceptable is the waiting time always at least 30 minutes or more pass appointment time. Only getting a shot in both knees. Stop double booking to help that problem. Thank you.

Staff great, helped very quickly. Spoke with physician assistant, then Dr Krenzel came in and talked to me. This is my second time seeing Dr. Krenzel, he performed hip replacement for me years ago. Everything was great then and now.

My experience with Dr. Krenzel has been nothing but amazing. Over a year I had suffered from severe arthritis which resulted to bone on bone. Dr. Krenzel told me I would need to have a total knee replacement, which is not what I wanted to hear but I took his advice and accepted his professional decision. He assured me I would be pleased with the final results and he was right!! My surgery was October 1st and returned to work December 7th. I waited 10 weeks just because I’m on my feet a lot at work. I had some swelling from my knee down which I called about and was told that was normal and would have some swelling the first year. If I had to do it all over again, I would and Dr. Krenzel would be my choice for the surgeon! A very satisfied patient!!

Dr. Krenzel replaced my left hip. The recovery was fast. I feel that he did a great job.

Dr Krenzel is an excellent surgeon and has a great bedside manner. I ended up needing a hip replacement after an auto accident. Dr Krenzel explained everything about the surgery before it was scheduled. He preformed a total anterior hip replacement and I was able to go home a few hours later. I recommend Dr Krenzel for anyone needing a hip replacement.

Dr. Krenzel is very straight forward with explaining how he is going to perform the hip replacement surgery and what I can expect post operatives.I look forward to my surgery in 4 weeks and getting my hip pain and issues taken care of.

I was seen quickly by Dr. Krenzels PA about the new pain in my right groin. On X-ray it showed moderate arthritis. PA recommended an injection. While trying to schedule that injection the only date available was Jan 30. I will be leaving on Feb 1 for nine days to go on a medical mission trip to Mexico. The scheduler was able to get me an appointment on Jan 20 as a work in.

Dr. Krenzel and the entire staff at Ortho Carolina are great. He repaired my knee when other doctors would not even attempt knee replacement. P.A. is great. Claire and Stacy the physical therapists that worked with me were well qualified, caring and encouraged me. They helped me immensely. You cant go wrong with this team.

I did not get to see the doctor I paid to see...they sent me a woman P.A..And she goes to.tell me to get ice on my knees and go to Walmart and buy Tylenol for my chronic knee pain...two knees i need partial knee replacement on..I will never go back there ..the need to give me my money back...!!!

A pleasant visit, and we were talking about surgery. Now thats awesome. Dr. Krenzel was great and his staff was amazing. They had the ability to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Hes just a regular guy with an immense knowledge of orthopedic surgery and in my case the knee. Hes brilliant and confident and when he talks, you listen because its said in simple terms. Xrays were taken in house just minutes before our discussion, so convenient. Immediately after the visit I sat with a girl that does the scheduling and she simplified that process. She scheduled the surgery, set up PT, and all to suit my availability and close to home. In summary, Im amazed how I walked in with 50 questions and left a couple hours later with a complete and thorough plan. Im feeling pretty lucky to call this team My team. Rich K.

Dr Krenzel, as well as this staff, are the absolute best. He is a very caring, concerned and knowledgeable, professional doctor. I have gotten along very well with the hip replacement. Many people have told me that they cannot believe that I have had a hip replacement, that I do not look or act like I’ve had it. Dr. Krenzel’s work is phenomenal.

Dr. Krenzel replaced my wifes hip on 4/12)18. Only after a long conversation with her family physican he agreed to the surgery even though she wasnt in the best of health. She has had a slow recovery but we are so grateful to Dr. Krenzel for doing the surgery and trying to make both of our lives better. He can be very straight forward sometimes but he is a great doctor and would recommend him to anyone.

This is an awesome doctor. No one wants to or looks forward to surgery, but I found myself in that very position 8 yrs ago. Dr. Krenzel replaced my hip in 2012. His staff is not only professional but they are friendly also. They are caring and work to get you into the office a quickly as possible. Also a big plus is that they have an in house x-ray dept. Dr. Krenzel also replace both of my knees. He is such a knowledgeable person and talks things over with you to help you see all of your options. He explains things in simple terms so that a person can understand what is needed throughout the whole procedure from the first time talking to follow ups. He is supportive. I have always left his office feeling more confident than when I went in. He is very respectful, knowing all he does, he treats people like they are somebody not just a number on his long list of patients. Dr. Krenzel did my total knee replacement 2 weeks ago. Currently doing all the required in home and also therapy sessions at Ortho Carolina. Each day is getting better. My Orthopedic Doctor that I was seeing for my right ankle told me that I would need to have my right knee replaced before I could even think about replacing my right ankle due to the fact that everything is based from the hip joint to keep the correct alignment for my leg. He recommended I see an Orthopedic Surgeon for my knee replacement due to alot of arthritis and cartilage damage from a previous injury of 30 plus years. I had been hobbling on it for sometime and had been putting it off. He recommended Dr. Brian Krenzel in their practice at Ortho Carolina in Hickory, NCI made an appointment with him and was I surprised that he was a graduate of Duke University as well as a football player for them as well! He is very professional and sets you at ease with what needs to be done. All in all he was the best you or I could have gotten. The surgery went very well and everything is great now . I had a great experience with ortho carolina and dr Krenzel. I had a partial knee replacement and my knee feels great 3 months later. He done a great job and im very happy i had this done. Got to get the other knee done also. I will return to see dr Krenzel when its time to have the right knee done

You couldnt find a better doctor anywhere. He has great bedside manner and talks where you can understand him. He is great about explaining everything and he will work with you any way he can rather than putting you down like some doctors. We even tried to avoid surgery with other treatments, but ended up with knee replacements. I dont care too much for Ortho-Carolina though. Just make sure you deal with them sternly. But even with that, Krenzel is my doctor of choice.
