My daughter came home from college (out of state) for a checkup and cleaning. All of which is covered by insurance. So after her checkup she was told that they would have to do a series of special cleanings/treatments before they would do a regular cleaning, all of which would come to the cost of several hundreds of dollars. I explained that we just wanted to get a regular cleaning today and would further discuss the other treatment, after I looked into it and would schedule for a later date. I spoke personally to the female dentist and she flat out refused to do the cleaning until we committed to the other stuff, stating that a cleaning would not be beneficial to my daughter. Since when is a cleaning not beneficial? We left without getting her teeth cleaned because I would not commit to all that money on the spot without further investigation. It was basically like if you dont do it their way they will not do their job. And to top it off, they wanted her to get all 4 of her wisdom teeth out that same day.....no way. Funny, I thought patients could make decisions about their own healthcare. We were doing our part and trying to get preventative treatment and was told that it wasnt beneficial and they would not do it. My daughter felt very pressured regarding treatment and $$$ and said she would never go back. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. I would have given ZERO Stars, but it was not an option.

I had my first root canal and crown today. I hadn’t been to a dentist in a while. Dr. Dunning and his assistant were spectacular!!! They worked quickly and efficiently. They comforted me throughout the procedure. It took 1.5 hours. There are rest periods during it. My pain is gone and I’m not even sore or numb!

My daughter and I both had appointments this week. My daughter is 5 and LOVES coming here-it was her second visit. We had seen a pediatric dentist before we moved to the area but are EXTREMELY happy with how kind they are with her at FreshDental.It was my first time at the dentist in over 15 years..yikes! But EVERYONE was so kind and even though I was very nervous when I walked through the door, they all made me feel so comfortable! The dentist was friendly and made jokes to lighten the mood..Jenny did such a great job on my deep clean! I am so glad we decided to give FreshDental a shot! It took me a while to find a dentist in the area after we moved. I called for an appointment and they answered right away and got us scheduled. I was super impressed with the thoroughness of the staff, our exams and all the education they provided as well as options. I will continue to go here and would highly recommend.

Been to a lot of different dental places over the last couple years. This place is by far the best!! Could not ask for a more professional and friendly staff.

I miss Dr. Rhoda. (sp?) I feel as if Dr. Dunning doesn’t take my concerns as seriously as he did. I also feel like I can’t switch doctors because my Invisalign is through Dr. Dunning.

I had a filling fall out last night. I knew I had to go get it fixed as soon as I could. I spend about an hour on the phone trying to find a dentist since I did not have one in North Carolina yet. When I called Fresh Dental, they were able to get me in 3 hours after I called them. Im not the greatest with dentist appointments. I get really nervous. However, from the moment I walked in, they are kind and welcoming. They not only care about your teeth but they care about yourself as well. All the staff I talked to was very friendly. After fixing my filling emergency, I decided to schedule another appointment and got my kids appointments as well.

My dentist is the best and very thorough too! Not only a great dentist, but the best chair side manor ever! He kept me happy and laughing. My dentist retired and I had to find a local dentist to take care of my current tooth issues.

Called last minute with a dental emergency and they were able to get me in the SAME day! Ill be honest I have not been to the dentist in a long time. They were soothing, understanding, and not judgemental at all. They were straight forward with prices and understood I was on a budget. All around amazing people who care about their customers! They worked with my busy schedule and Im ready to go back!

They got me in asap and took care of the problem the same day even though I wasn’t an established patient. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be making them my primary Dentist office.

I typically don’t enjoy dental visits. I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Warm welcomes and such a relaxing environment from the time you enter, until you leave. Before coming here I was terrified of the dentist. The team here is really great at listening to you moving at your pace. The treatment plans are reasonable to you comfort lever. They made me feel so calm and ease about coming in and getting my procedure done.

Disclaimer: I am not a fan of dentists. However, the staff at Fresh Dental was so warm and welcoming that I was a little more at ease. They had to extract a molar. Literally my lifes worst fear...having a tooth removed from my skull. I was comforted and assured I was in good hands. And I was. My Dentist was super cool, and his assistant made everything feel so relaxed and really helped m through the experience. The single best dental experience Ive had. Dr. Rodda was not only attentive, but responsive to my concerns and worked with my fears in a very calm and open manner. Would give 10 stars if they were available. I didnt catch the name of the assistant, which is unfortunate because that indicates that she is HIGHLY skilled and incredibly competent to be able to perform her duties without incident and virtually unnoticed. They both worked together seamlessly and I am very grateful for their help.

Had a dental emergency right before Christmas of last year, called a few places and luckily they had an appointment the next day. After the removal of a bad wisdom tooth, they map out a plan to get my dental care back in order....theyre helpful with scheduling appointments that work for me and one occasion they suggested had me come in twice in the same day so I could get use of all my dental insurance benefits before the new year started. Supremely friendly staff and great doctors. They make sure youre pain free and comfortable throughout all aspects. I had some issues with a wisdom tooth that was pulled called and got in to see a dentist the same day. Great place Ill keep going there hopefully my jobs insurance wont dropped them from our network!!For any dental work you may need give them a shot!

Everyone was very friendly and professional at Fresh Dental. I had 2 teeth pulled and Dr Rodda Rocks! He did a great job got them both out in one piece. No pain just the normal bleeding which is going away from this morning. Very happy with his work.

They even found more problems that another dentist didnt tell me I had in my teeth and Im glad they did. I hadnt been to a dentist in almost ten years. I guess you could say I was afraid. I had broken a tooth some time ago. It never really caused me pain until this past weekend. It took me about two days to go to the ER. This was my only choice as I had no dental insurance at the moment. The ER gave me some much appreciated antibiotics and told me to go see a dentist ASAP. It took me a day to get my insurance straight. I finally got in touch with Fresh Dental early Wednesday afternoon. I was in first thing the next morning, and had my two upper wisdom teeth out by 1pm. Dr. Dunning was amazing, not to mention his assistant whose name I cannot remember. He made sure I was good and numb before he started the extraction. They were simple enough with the post-op instructions. The price after my insurance took place was way more than affordable. Overall, I had a great experience with Fresh Dental, and have already booked my next three appointments.

I am basing my review on my mothers experience this morning. My mother is a cancer patient that needs to take good care of her dental health. The intake/billing associate did not listen to my mothers information on her insurance plan. Listening to the patient is important. Repeating the canned information received from the insurance company associate is not helpful. The potential patient had information on her dental insurance plan that the Fresh Dental associate refused to receive. Our family has advised our mother to seek another practice within the network. People with preexisting conditions have an extremely difficult time with various medical procedures, appointments, and insurance billing. This Fresh Dental associate should have sincerely listened to my mother. There is always a solution to an insurance issue, get the correct plan number. Respect and compassion.

I had a lot of cavity work done in May of 2020 by Dr. Jahal at Fresh Dental. I paid the uncovered portion by my insurance for the procedures (which took a few hours) there in the office, and the rest (I was told) would be covered by my insurance. A few weeks later I was scheduled for a cleaning, and I missed this appointment as the day before my son sustained a life threatening injury due to motor vehicle accident and had been airlifted to CMC in Charlotte. I totally forgot about my appointment, and honestly I was barely keeping it together at that point in time. I got a call from a young man working for Fresh Dental, who, when I answered, was extremely rude and demanded to know why I didnt show up for my appointment. I apologized profusely and explained the circumstances and told him that I had been at the hospital with my son the past three days and didnt know when I could reschedule again. He told me that he could not waive the no show charge (understandable) and then very coarsely said they do not tolerate no call no shows. I get it, its a business, but its not like I didnt show up because I wanted to, my kid almost lost his freaking leg and was unconscious in the hospital. After that conversation, I was done with Fresh Dental. A few weeks later I was billed for additional costs not disclosed by Fresh Dental. Then, three months after my intial appointment, one of my fillings totally popped off and I am now about to undergo oral surgery to remove said tooth because the nerve has been exposed and lymph nodes became infected. The dentist was kind enough and the modern technology and office setting was nice, but the quality of work and kindness from some of the office staff was lacking in my opinion, so Ill be going elsewhere for my dental work for now on.

First time there. The staff and dr were amazing. Had to have 2 root canals and they had a caring attitude through it all. Plan on making them my regular dentist.

Before I visited Dr. Dunning, I had dental pain daily. I noticed relief almost immediately after he performed a dental procedure. Dr. Dunning is diligent, professional, and highly experienced. I recommend Fresh Dental of Hickory because of Dr. Dunning and his assistants.

Be aware this company pushes products that are not needed or warranted. They will tell you it is covered by insurance then send you a bill for those services. I even asked them to get the service pre-authorized and my insurance said that no such call was made. Beware they will lie to you just to get their quota of services rendered regardless of need. Comfort and Care Dentistry of Hickory doesnt push product and is upfront and honest with you. Dont go to Fresh Dental unless you want to be scammed.

Had my first ever cavity filling here, was a very quick and painless experience.

First off let me say this is one of the most amazingly clean dentist offices I have ever been in. The staff was super helpful very attentive and deserve nothing but praise.Now the negative hence the one star. I went in after not being to a dentist in a couple years. They immediately started pushing invisalign on me before anything was done to my teeth. They went through and told me I needed a deep clean which I agreed with, they did not do anything else. Because the convid outbreak and my schedule I had to wait to make the appointment. I was told it would be in the neighborhood of $700 plus dollars. I made an appointment with another dentist who did the deep clean, and the polish for a fraction of the cost!!!!! Like a fourth!!! Money isnt the only driver behind this, time I dont see the point in making three plus appointments and having to pay for it! My cleaning was completed in one sitting! So friendly staff again five 🌟 but the need to over pay for service and waste time no thanks.

I made appointment with Fresh Dental after being let down at another location and was able to come in the next day. Everyone at this facility is awesome! I cannot Express how thankful I am for the Doctors, hygienist and clinical assistants and their immediate responses to my issue. I was explained everything that was going to happen and was able to make a more informed decision. Being a General Manager and dealing with the public, I have learned people are happy with options, and they gave me just that. I was very emotional and had very little patience and they calmed me down, empathized with me and made sure I understood everything going on. Had a great first visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful with informing me of treatment options. The cleaning was a breeze. Checking in and out was painless. Jackie the front manager sat down with me answered and explained in detail all questions I had before and after the visit. Jackie and the team are highly professional and I strongly recommend them to anybody who is thinking of trying this dental practice.

I enjoyed when I first went but ended up with a tooth that is 2 different colors. And the main reason I went to fresh dental is because I had a root canal and crown about 3 years ago and no one believes there is something wrong with it. 1 doctor there saw it in an x-ray to my relief but she was gone the next time I went. They tell me I need 4 crowns, and maybe I do but how would I be comfortable enough I would get the right color teeth.

I am not satisfied with the services they provided. I came in for a routine cleaning and the dentist said I had a cavity. He showed me a picture of a black spot on a tooth. I had no dental pain, so I was debating on getting the cavity filled. The dentist made a snide comment, we can fix the cavity now or pull the tooth later. I scheduled an appointment for a couple days later. The tech numbed my mouth, but before the dentist gave me the local anesthetic there was quite a bit of confusion about where the cavity was. He proceeded to numb my mouth and do some dental work.A week after the cavity had been filled, I still had dental pain. I stopped in to see why I still had pain and the dentist said everything is fine. The dentist showed me a before and after picture of the tooth that he fixed and picture he showed me didnt match the picture I was shown during my first visit. I dont know if they fixed the right tooth... After speaking to another dentist about the pain, they suggested not chewing on the painful side for about a week. This would let the nerve calm down. This did help.About a month after my last visit, I received a bill in the mail that looked like a high school student used Excel to create an invoice. I ignored the bill thinking it was a scam. When received a second bill; I stopped by Fresh Dental to verify this was their invoice and it was.Based on my experience and their level of professionalism, I will not be returning to Fresh Dental.

I have seen many dentist however I finally found someone I want to stick with. He truly cares about your gums and teeth and wants you to have a great smile. Dr Bouali. And his assistant Shari. I have given them reason enough to be done with me. However they are there for us and I appreciate it. The front staff is very kind.

I went for my 2nd visit in less than a year. Appointment was at 9:15 I got there at 9:05. Had to rinse with peroxide because they think it kills the corona virus, then wanted to do more xrays after they did that in October for my first visit. X rays are required once a year not twice! Then for what ever reason they have a doctor come in to do a pre exam which I have never had done. What should have been a easy cleaning and an appointment that lasted no more than an hour turned into 40 mins of nothing but them trying to find a way to bill more services! They lost this patient!

The visit went extremely well and before I left the dentist explained all of my options in great detail - she really took her time and answered all of my questions throughly. I’ve never been to a dentist where they have made me feel as comfortable as this staff had. Fancy was amazing with assisting me with my financial part of my visit, ahhhhh can’t forget about Jennifer who was my hygienist who made me very comfortable and was gentle with my cleaning, she explained to me everything that she was doing before even doing it!!!! Dr.B which is what he told me to call him was awesome!!! He made me laugh and knew when to be serious, was upfront with me about everything that I needed done and he made sure that I understood. I love Dr Johal. She is the best dentist I have ever had. The staff is extremely nice and I have never been left waiting in the reception area or an examination room for long. I highly recommend this practice.

Staff are all wonderful and friendly. Appointments are kept on time and they have a reasonable plan for families without dental insurance.

If you’re looking to get a quality filling on one of your front teeth this is not the place to go. First filling looked great but broke off a week later. Second filling hurt like hell and the color match wasn’t even close. Went back in to get the color redone and they rushed it and made it look awful again and chipped off a week later. All 3 times I went I wasn’t numbed at all and dentist didn’t really seem to care about the quality of how it looked or making sure it would stay on.Went to Compass Dental to see what they thought and got a clear briefing on why the fillings chipped and they took a solid 50 minutes making sure it was right and my bite wasn’t going to break it back off again. Showed me before and after pictures and it was a night and day difference.

Amazing staff! Heard great reviews about the place and decided to go for myself and Im glad I did. Hard to find a place that genuinely cares about their patients.

AMAZING!!!! SMILE SMILE! Coming from someone who has had, YES HAD, a life time fear of going to the dentist ..well never ever again!!. From the moment I walked in the door it was so different from any dental I ever went in before. I was double checking in my mind to be sure I hadnt been there. Nerves were put to ease at the front desk and boy ohhh boy wait until you meet the dentist. These gentlemen are extremely wonderful TALENTED human beings. Wish I knew about this office a long time ago. Dr. Bouali discussed several times not only to myself but also my husband, exactly what he would be doing and what procedures needed to be completed . Yes he will discuss time, price, pain level and recovery time. If you have been putting taking care of your smile like me...this is where you go!! I would never ever tell family or friends to go and where else. No unnecessary things will be done or without discussion. Give your self a fresh smile.
