The staff and management are very caring I had to switch my PCP Last year but have always had good access to my new providers. The Gentlemen that took over the clinic is great with the staff and patients. I have seen him sit with children in the lobby to help the parents and heard him say good morning to patients when he walks through the lobby. He really cares about the clinic, town, and patients.

Will not be going back, my Dr. of over 15 years left because they gave him false information that the Chisholm clinic was closing, went to Hibbing clinic was made to feel like I was some kind of criminal, I have numerous health issues and this new provider didn’t bother to read my chart to get my history, just started cutting all my medications stating you can’t have this if your taking that, felt like he was looking down his nose at me the whole time, I wrote a complaint and got a response and I don’t believe that person looked into what I had to say , they just crumbled under the pressure of the doctor opinion, I have had a long standing relationship with Essentia and have always been treated fairly but this experience left me dumbfounded. I am an adult not some drug addicted person, the word compassion Andre understanding were not used with this provider, I will not mention his name but he needs to be addressed about his holier then thou bedside manner, and should have to answer to someone other then an RN who is not going to go against his wishes

After the new Supervisor came in last May I have seen the morale of the clinic improve even with challenges of COVID the staff gad been great.

I saw one doctor who was acted like I was paranoid with every single thing I mentioned and barely did anything for me. I saw her for a long time thinking it would get better and it never did.I have switched to a NP and she is great and has actually helped me since day one.All the nursing and other staff have been very helpful and nice.The lab techs have helps me a ton when I have had issues passing out or having mini seizures after having blood drawn.

I called about making a Appointment to Establish a PcP was put on Hold 20 mins to start with.. When the RUDE Person came on the Line while I was trying to tell her that I had been a patient of the Duluth Family Medicine Clinic she kept interrupting me. After I called her down and asked her to let me Talk she did.. Then I was informed that they wont have anyone that I could see until September.. This is pure nonsense I have multiple health issues.. I am done with Essentia I will look into FairView now... Not that Essentia will care they have plenty of people roaped in going there.. And dont give me some BS about how you care about people or give me any Email addresses..

Worst experience ever. Both Hibbing and Deer River Essentia Health. Two times now in the matter of three years they’ve drawn blood and “lost it”. How does that even happen? Also had blood drawn for some big time tests I needed done, they had to draw a lot, sent it off to be tested and they “didn’t do it right” so now I have to have it redone. Final thing, a NP prescribed be a muscle relaxant to help with hip pain, good thing I checked before I took it at home. It reacts terrible to a medication I’m on and would’ve almost killed me. And my medication is listed in my chart. Will NOT be going back here again.

Messed up the coding on one of my bills and refuse to fix it after half a dozen different tickets, reviews, etc. wont be back.
