Had a fractured tooth extracted by Dr. Hughes and I didnt feel a thing. No pain! He took the time to explain what he was going to do beforehand and made me feel at ease. Highly recommend if youre like me and are anxious about dentist appointments or even if youre not! He is very good at his craft.

Most comfortable i have felt at a dentist. I went just for info on a crown and ended up switch over completely for regular dental visits too! Love the staff, felt genuinely cared for.

Dr. Hughes and his office staff are wonderful. I had a seamless hygiene appointment and comprehensive exam today. It was most thorough exam I have ever had and Dr. Hughes explained everything in detail. I am considering dental implant surgery to replace the crowns/bridge I have now. He has been doing implants for many years and I trust his opinion and skill. An added bonus is that I can be sedated for the procedure! I highly recommend Dr. Hughes and his staff.

Visited Dr. Hughes when I first moved into Marion IL (2019). Had filling that fell out. Went to him to have it re-seated. He charged me $200.00 for this! Wow. I was shocked. Never went back. Figured I was paying for his deluxe office space. Not good.

Dr. Hughes is a wonderful dentist, he takes his time to listen to his patients and is very professional; he also makes sure you are comfortable throughout your procedures. I have intense sometimes crippling anxiety and panic when it comes to going to the dentist. I really liked that they gave you forms to fill out allowing them to know a detailed medical history. The staff at Hughes dental arts center are very nice and understanding, making you feel like they already know you. Dr Hughes was very patient and didnt mind that I was crying the whole time. Dr Hughes even wiped tears from my eye; Talking to me every step of the way explaining things and reassuring me, saying its okay and youre going to be fine, before He even started the exam. I have been to a handful of dentists never feeling as comfortable as I did at Hughes dental arts center. I can honestly say I am not as nervous for the next visit, Ill probably still cry and that will be ok. Dare I say, I found my forever dentist. Highly recommend anybody with fairs or phobias about dentist give Hughes dental arts center a try.

They are a bit more expensive than most and they don’t do pre treatment estimates with my insurance carrier which is Delta Dental. It’s overall a great dental practice that I recommend highly.

This was my first visit to Dr Hughes dental center and I was very impressed. I have a severe fear of dentists, always have. I have made bare minimum visits because of this fear but I do like my smile and believe your smile and appearance makes your first impression very important to others. Took so long to get my teeth fixed by him. I had problems right after the last opponent. Got blown off many times. In constant pain for two years with one crown then it finally fell out. He had forced it down and I felt and heard a snap. The outside tooth was broken and forced down into my gum. Sad thing is it wasn’t abscessed or any pain. I truly believe it could of been filled. The crown behind it he done abscessed all the way to my jaw bone. Luckily it was removed before I had serious problems. The filling he did on the other side cracked down the middle because it wasn’t filled properly. Actually none of them were. He will put you off if any problems occur after he is finished with you or you are out of money. My teeth were supposed to look like they had no fillings which turned out to be puddles of white fillers. Suppose to last the rest of my life. Talked me into going threw a teeth whitened process that cracked the enamel on all my teeth. Now I’m hoping for one implant so I can chew on the left side. The other one won’t last much longer because he chipped it digging out the lead fillings. I have ran into a few others with the same problems after he done their teeth. Way overpriced and will just to destroy your teeth and push you aside. He had to of known he cracked that tooth. Over 5000$Now they say I was never there and don’t know me, typical. I have 25 people that would say different and could look up my credit card charges. You want ??? Let’s go !!

Have only done my initial exam, but I was very pleased with the way I was treated. I almost cancelled the appointment because I had an appointment in the same area within an hour of this one. When I mentioned this to the receptionist. she assured me that they would be able to get me taken care of in time to make both appointments. At no time did I feel like they were rushing through to get me out, any questions that I had were answered fully and Ann even called my second appointment to let them know I was on my way. Ann, JP and Dr. Hughes are all very friendly .

All from Dr Hughes, to J.P., to Ann and the rest make each appointment an enjoyable experience. The dental work is excellent, but that’s the easy part. Making the dental patient feel relaxed, comfortable and feel that you are more than a client is something few achieve. They are tops in a field that is frequently is viewed as an unpleasant experience. How many people can say they enjoy going to the dentist? I can.

I have a huge fear of the dentist. It had been years since I worked up the nerve to go. First Anne the front manager is happy and so welcoming and put me at ease a little. Then the dental assistants were so nice and gentle and made me relax a bit more. Then Dr Hughes. He made me look at dental work completely different. He took the time to answer all my questions. Explains everything before he does it. Checks on me throughout to make sure Im ok and comfortable. Hes professional and well AWESOME. I moved an hour away and still make the drive. I wouldnt want to go anywhere else!

Dr. Hughes is the first dentist Ive been treated by whom I like going to. I chose Dr. Hughes as my oral surgeon and general dentist in 2012 and now cant imagine going anywhere else for my dental care. I have issues getting numb and have had to endure many procedures over the years that were unpleasant due to my over sensitivity... that is until I found Hughes Dental Arts. Dr. Hughes has always made my comfort during a procedure a top priority. Ive had extensive work done over the last 6 years and its always been a positive experience. After an extensive oral surgery, Dr. Hughes cared enough to call me at home that evening to see how I was doing. I wish other dental and medical professionals had that level of concern for their patients... the world would be a better place.And speaking of making the world a better place, I would be remiss if I didnt mention how wonderful Anne, Hughes Dental Arts’ office manager and receptionist is. This gal is a one-woman army. She wears so many hats at Hughes that her name should be on the sign. She is not only extremely competent and capable, but warm, friendly and caring. My first visit to Hughes, she greeted me by name before I could introduced myself. Ive been to a few great doctors over the years but never returned because their office staff were either dolts or impossible to deal with. Getting to talk to Anne for a few minutes is one of the reasons I look forward to my dental appointments.

Dr. Hughes is by far one of the best dentists i have ever been to. His staff is really friendly and the office is always clean. From the time you sit down in his dentist chair you get his undivided attention until your procedure is over. He does not leave you waiting for 30 minutes while working on someone else. I have gone to Dr. Hughes since 2011. He has done invisalign, veneers, crowns, bridge, and root canal on me. He never done anything that didnt need to be done, and he is very good. My veneers are awesome. He has never hurt me. On the days when I had a lot of work done he would call that night to check on me. His office is always clean and neat, and he along with his staff make you feel at ease. You wont go wrong choosing to have work done in his office.

I found Dr. Hughes after years and years of horrible dental experiences. Ive now been a patient there for over 2.5 years and no longer have to have sedation for my fear. The staff will listen to your questions and get you the answers.

I had seen Dr. Hughes on several occasions. #1 was the xray which took the whole session, so the office visit was extra. #2 when having my teeth cleaned I asked for pain meds. during the cleaning in which Dr. Hughes said they used nitrous, so I said that would be fine. After wasting my time on every visit I found out that there wasnt even any gas in the bottles...no refund that was promised. Dr. Hughes would tell me one thing, his assistant would tell me another. After so many times of this I quit going. He is a liar & is in it only for the money. If he cant find something wronh he will invent it & drag it on forever. DONT go to this so called dentist. He wants to keep you coming in so he can collect on office visits & then some! Very diappointed.

I have been going to dr Hughs for almost six years now, when I first started with dr Hughs my mouth was a mess, I had another dentist to tell me all my teeth needed to be pulled I went for a second opinion with dr Hughs and he said they didnt need to be pulled and did a program that saved all my teeth my teeth have never looked better thanks to dr Hughs I would recommend dr Hughs to any family and friends I would give him 10 stars if I could thank you dr hughs your the best!
