Unfortunately I’m not even able to share a review of an actual psychiatrist due to the horrific onboarding process and the insensitive treatment by one of the office employees, Sarah. I had an appointment scheduled for a Friday and on Wednesday, Sarah called to let me know that I needed to finish completing the onboarding forms and to let them know if I needed any help. On Thursday, I checked to make sure the forms were all completed and noticed that I couldn’t find the forms or details of my appointment. When I then called and spoke to Sarah, she informed me that when she called on Wednesday, she told me that the forms needed to be completed 48 hours prior to the appointment or the appointment would be cancelled. This was not included in her message at any point (I have the voicemail) and no one even contacted me to notify me that the appointment was cancelled. I had already had my therapist contact the psychiatrist earlier in the week which was a complete waste of both their time considering they cancelled my appointment. This is a horrific experience considering that this is a mental health organization. I had been desperately waiting for this appointment for a month and it was cancelled due to the neglect of this employee named Sarah. The Ross Center should be ashamed of themselves and if this experience is any indication of how they treat their patients, I am relieved that now I am able to go elsewhere.

Personal information is shared to outsiders and is spread. Aside from that, other therapists will earhustle to listen in on your session. Do not recommend.

These guys dropped the ball on me with complete disregard of my mental health. Short post, long story.

Very good choice for talk therapy and related Services, if you do not want medication or seamless path to medication (no psychiatrist on staff or with set relationship to the center). Like most therapist offices, everywhere Ive ever lived, it is very difficult to get someone on the phone!!! this is a huge problem, because when you feel like reaching out for help you need it ASAP. One of many Major flaws of many in our health system. when I did finally manage to speak to someone, things went smoothly, however, and the therapist is excellent. I just wish she would exert more agency over administrative services in the office she has chosen to work out of.

Was seeing someone for about three sessions when I received an email from her stating she was leaving the company. She asked that if I wanted to continue care, I should leave my email and phone number and she’d follow up to have my appt reschedule with another therapist. That never happened. The day before my scheduled appt I called to get it rescheduled myself and they told me my appointment had been cancelled. Absolutely no follow through and it’s down right irresponsible. I tried another woman there that was very strange. I told her about a health concern to which I received a completely off base response. Do not recommend the Ross center.

I tried to see someone twice and it never happened. The 1st time I set an appointment, I asked for a specific person. When I arrived, They had scheduled me with a completely different therapist. When I called to sort out the mix up, they told me the therapist I originally wanted was no longer seeing new patients. The 2nd time I attempted to be seen, I arrived and waited for 30 minutes. When I called the administrative desk, they stated that the therapist left me a voicemail informing me she would not be coming in due to the facility not having heat. Primary communication up to that point had been email, so I never got the message. I sat in a cold waiting room for 30 minutes....for a second time. I am sure the therapists there are great, but the administrative staff do not seem to care at all. They showed no empathy whatsoever. If you are looking for a smooth process, especially if this is your 1st time ever seeing a therapist , I would not suggest going to the Ross Center.

My experience at The Ross Center in Hendersonville was amazing. Staff was very friendly and the ladies at the front desk were very helpful. I was anxious about my appointment but with just my first visit I am confident that my therapist will help me with what I am going through. Will definitely be back and recommend you all. Thank you so much.

I started in trying to get a letter and paperwork filled out for over a month now, not to mention i have called and left several messages and no one has responded. I have visited on 3 separate times and still have not received what I needed.Professionally, this has to be of the most unprofessional place in Middle Tennessee! Take my advice if you have nothing but time then cool because they are going to yake theirs!!!

Dr. Mari Ross-Alexander is a very knowledgeable and experienced Therapist! She and her staff are gracious and accommodating. She also specializes in helping Black males unpack racial- battle fatigue, as well as other traumatized persons. This practice takes a 21st century approach thru the nuances of behavioral science. Personally, Dr. Ross- Alexander, walked me back from feelings of anger and anxiety in the workplace. She gave me strategies that I live by, daily....I strongly recommend this practice to anyone. I dont have anything to say about the actual care, because my husband and I never made it to our appt. The 319 Plus Park location is...I dont even have a word for it. No sign. No landscaping. The building looked abandoned. We got there 20 minutes before our appt and the doors were locked so we couldnt even fill out paperwork. We left and will be looking for a counselor elsewhere.
