MPH out patient therapy is great. Staff is very knowledgeable & friendly. Willing to listen to your concerns & will explain so you understand.

I came in for what I thought was going to be an in office procedure. Dr. Kanth at Surgical Associates looked at my ultrasound and said he would have to do it under general anesthesia at the hospital. He explained everything and answered all of the questions I had. He put me at ease about the surgery. I highly recommend them! His nurse was so nice. The ladies at the desk are wonderful and so sweet.

The lab technician in the medical plaza is unprofessional and down right lazy. Took the order to them on Tuesday but my daughter had to fast for it and we couldnt make it back untilMonday because of school. The receptionist and lab tech said to leave the paper with them. Wouldnt you know they lost the order and tried to say that we didnt leave it with them. YES I DID! We got there extra early to be first in line. And now my daughters late for school with no apology even. Maria Parham staff need to do better. NO EXCUSES! Tired of rude people.

Never take your child or love one there. Them nurses and doctors know nothing at all. Where did half of y’all get a degree.

Had an outpatient procedure done, could not have asked for a more friendly staff. Nurses in outpatient surgery were so friendly and very knowledgeable. OR staff was very friendly and kept my husband very informed during surgery. The recovery room staff was also just as friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like the only patient that day, everyone really took time with me and made sure to make my experience excellent. Surgery went great and my recovery process was smoother than expected. Great experience!

I had labs drawn at this facility and my experience was excellent. The registration process was quick and I was met with happy, smiling faces ready to assist me. I had an equally pleasant experience when in the lab. All safety measures were used including name band checks, hand washing, etc. Wonderful employees and experience!

I visited Registration and the Outpatient Laboratory several weeks ago and the staff were great! The testing was quick and painless. Test results came back within a few days and the service couldnt have been better. Kudos to Registration and Outpatient Lab.

Very happy with my procedure at this hospital. Staff was informative and efficient, entire hospital looked clean and kept. Heck, they even offered drink refreshments in the waiting room like it was an airplane flight. Will definitely try to have any future procedures scheduled here instead of the hospital near my home. The extra drive was worth it.

I will never come here again. They put everyone in a small waiting area in the back with no air circulating. Nobody is being treated. I will drive the distance to not have to come here again. Ive been waiting almost 4 hours and have not seen a doctor no pain meds or anything.

I called into Womens care department to ask about a temp doctor they had. I was referred to that doctor. The woman at the reception started yelling at me. She kept saying the work lokum. Horrible service

The staff is overly professional. They show no emotions whatsoever. Theyre all business. I felt like I was being interviewed by a computer.

Worst hospital on planet earth, I came in at 4:22 didnt see a doctor until 8:15 didnt leave until 10:30. I couldve went to Africa and got better service. They give you no details on what you came in for, they start running test on you without telling you what they doing. They dont care about your health at this place. Most of the doctors/nurses look depress, they only there to get a paycheck. The worst part of all, a lady came in with stage 4 cancer, and its just me and her and another person in there and they had this poor lady just seating in the waiting room like a sad puppy. What a waste of space that place is. If you on your way up there I suggest you ride right pass and go straight to Durham.

My daughter gave birth there. It was awful, both times. Asian Dr. who did epidural on her took a phone call while doing the procedure from his wife. The epidural only worked on one side of her body. The hostility on the ward, is palpable. NOT a place to give birth, bond with your newborn, enjoy an important family event. The environment is ridiculous bigoted. Nurses & doctors alike are overwhelmingly white & practice extreme medical neglect of black patients. Emergency room nursing staff is the same. The whole culture of that hospital is adversarial and uncaring to the patients it serves.

Nursing staff not personable at all! They had to be told FOUR times over two days what medicine to give my father. Nurse staff was arguing over something that was not even job or hospital related while while trying to flush out a phishel in his arm....that they couldnt do!! Food trays were sticky and NASTY! Bathrooms had left over body fluids, stick on testing equipment, and pubic hairs. Worst hospital we have ever stepped foot in. UNREAL.

Ive had the occasion to bring my family for services in both the Emergency Department, Radiology and Inpatient stay on PCU. The staff treated us with courtesy and compassion. We are lucky to have such a great hospital in our community.

I had a procedure here and it was excellent. Physician texted me the night prior to ensure I was okay, following pre-procedure orders and confirmed the appointment. The day of the procedure, all staff were kind, accommodating and took the time to explain what was going to happen. It really put me at ease. We’re lucky to have a hospital that treats patients with such care. Very neighborly from the Doctor to all staff and took the stress out of the event. Thanks.

Been hear since around 7pm and all weve gotten are vitals and another blood draw. Its now 1st and no doc or n nurse to be seen and I am tired! Not to mention the patient Im with. This is crazy!!

We were vacationing at Kerr Lake and my husband became sick. He was admitted to Maria Parham Medical Center. He was on the 4th floor in the medical area. He received excellent care from the nursing staff as well as Dr Deal, one of the hospital doctors, and two different surgeons. The entire staff was very caring and attentive to our needs and concerns. Being out of of town and being admitted to the hospital can be very stressful, however the staff cared for us as if we were family. Great job for a small town hospital.

The locals try to give this hospital such a bad name. I have had 1 surgery here, three children here, oand numerous ER visits(boys will be boys) and I have never received horrible service. I have always been treated in a reasonable time frame for my condition. I trust this team with my family!!!

I wet to the ER for what I thought was heart problems. Thankfully it turned out to be a simple panic attack. I have had a pacemaker since I was 4 so Im kind of sensitive to heart related symptoms. These folks, despite being pleasant, really need to get it together. Some how in the 4 hours that I was there, they determined that I didnt need a pacemaker (28 years of experience says otherwise). On top of this they sent me 3 different bills and It took OVER A YEAR to get them to file it correctly with my insurance. I finally had to go down to my health insurance agents office and get them to straighten it out. What a pain in the ass on top of the absolute incompetence show by the Doctor on call that day.

I had outpatient testing and PT services. Excellent service and care. Easy to access and friendly.

This review is regarding the staff of Maria Parham that were on duty around 5:00 this morning (May 20, 2018). My sister was admitted to the hospital early this morning and ultimately transferred to Durham Regional due to the severity of her condition. However, family members were not notified at all (mom is the poc for emergencies). We did not locate her whereabouts until around 2:30 this afternoon. The hospital had her being discharged at 8:00 a.m. It was only when her daughter made several phone calls to determine her location. We finally tracked her down at Durham Regional and she was there since 9:30 a.m. Unfortunately, she was placed in a medically induced coma and could not respond. Upon our arrival back to Henderson, we made contact with the head nurse at Maria Parham who informed us that it is not their policy for the staff to inform family members. In addition, she informed us that upon asking questions of the outgoing staff about my sisters family, she was told (there was no family with her), that should have been a trigger for someone on staff to make contact with the family. My question to her was, if she is in a medically induced coma, how will the family know her location? The nurse was very nice and understanding but she was not the nurse on duty when this all happened, so I couldnt be mad at her. I understand HIPPA, but what is the proper protocol in a situation such as this and there IS an emergency poc listed in her records. My recommendation to any and all, the proper protocol is to bypass Maria Parham and head to Granville Medical Center.

This is by far the worst hospital I have ever stepped foot in. We arrived at 10:50 this morning and here it is 1:13 pm and we still have yet to see a doctor. People came in after us and are being seen before us. This is the very last time that I will ever visit this hospital. Apparently efficentcy is not a priority to this facility. I wouldnt give them any stars except for the fact that the receptionist is very friendly. If anyone needs medical care around this area I advise you to go to Oxford.

They run you through all the tests then they come back and tell you what you told him was wrong with you and charge you a tale of money

Nothing!!!!! I am here now for 8 days. Everyone is nice enough, but no one seems concerned about me as a person, but are exceptional when scanning my wrist band to charge my Medicare and Blue Cross and Blue Schield. If this is Obama Care in action, then the funeral homes will become more wealthy then they already are.

Went last night as my daughter was having pregnancy complications. They couldnt even give her a ultrasound because there is only staff for that 9-5 M-F. They gave her fluids but then told her that she wasnt even dehydrated. Then came in and told her the diagnosis was pregnancy !!! We told them she was pregnant when we got there ! The nurse told her that shes young and pregnancy is unplanned so if she has a miscarriage it would be a good thing ! This is where my grandchild was supposed to be born ! Noooooo way !!! Reporting the Dr and nurse from last night anywhere I can ! Do Not Go Here ! (Triage nurses were amazing though, they need to find a new hospital to work at!!)

WORST HOSPITAL IN THE AREA! They dont care about their patients, because if they did they want have to wait 5 hours just to be seen when theres only 8 patients!!! Smh got to do better!

Here yet again because of low potassium and magnesium, add a horrible UTI. Stayed in ER for 9hrs , where even amongst the gun shot victim and heart attack patient , they in the ER stayed attentive and addressed and managed my issues. After being admitted and being seen by an arrogant(understatement) hospitalist. Dr. Singar, who was my very 1st time meeting him in my 21yrs of being a patient here, he acts as if he has been my Dr and know everything about me and my health plan and tells me that my Dr. who specializes in Crohns disease and proceeds to tell me what my Dr.has done wrong. When asked about my Dr he tells me I know what I am doing and if I didnt think so he can send me home. When I asked a question to him about the plan of my care, he again informs me that he was the Dr not me. 2 secs from me actually putting my hands on him. Turns to walk out my room (w/o coming to no plan of action to help the problem)he turns to tell me, there is always AMA REALLY???. DR. SINGEAR, A LIL FORIEGN INDIAN DR. HE HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE PATIENT OR HIMSELF REALLY TO BEHAVE THAT WAY WITH ANY PATIENT, ESPECIALLY ONE THAT WAS INDUCTED INTO PHI THETA KAPPA ACADEMIC HONOR SOCIETY WITH A 4.0gpa. Yeah ,I understand every word.

This place is horrendous. Every family member I had has died in this bed bug infected abyss known as Maria Parham Hospital. 6 beautiful souls I can never get back because of their negligence.It has to be cursed. No way that its not.Emergency Room is a joke. They think everyone is drug seeking. They almost killed my husband due to this. Saying he was fine, without infection & just seeking pills. 6hrs later, he was layed up in Duke Icu with sepsis & a 50/50 shot of making it. He survived, thankfully. They said if he hadve wasted any more time with their b.s., he would not have made it.Steer clear of this hell hole.

Losers. Lame staff, waiting room in E.R. was empty yet took forever to be seen. Very bad place. Go to Duke if possible. The STUPID racist nurse says Did you save some urine (was never informed to do so) after replying No the dumb nurse says Come on now, how many times have you been to a doctor I should have smacked her. If I see her again, I probably will.

There was almost 50 people in the waiting room the receptionist was no help. She act like she was dumb every time I asked a question then the triage nurse told me to go some where else... I gladly left without being seen this is not exceptable.. I will never return if I can help it.

July 2nd, 2017 ER charge nurse lied to patient to prevent patient from filing a police report against her assalliant. Not only did she provide erroneous legal advice she intimidated patient from calling police.

Waited 7 hours for them treat my blood sugar. I had to remind them that I came in because I had abdominal pains.

My dad went to tbe hospital 9 or 10 months after a heart attack for an infection . they didnt have his pills to keep his heart from fluttering , he needed to take one every 12 hrs ... Didnt get one for 24
