The minute you walk in the door, you are greeted and helped. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. I felt comfortable and safe at all times. Plan to wait at least an hour after you’re appointmentsMy appointment was at 3:15 pm today and it is 4:10 right now. Be sure to take a good book to read if you have an appointment. This also occurred many times when I got cataract surgery

Be careful about dilation. I have never been effected by it with other vision professionals, but on my first visit here, when my appointment was done and my eyes had been dilated and numbed, I could barely see as I departed the office. The examining doctor made light of my driving with impaired vision, saying It doesnt effect driving, because thats long-distance vision. Then he said I could wait another hour or so in the waiting room if I was bothered by it. I had an emergency at home, so I took his word for it and elected to leave instead. I was terrified as I drove home. My vision was severely blurred and I was seeing double. Thankfully, probably because I drove very slowly, I got home OK, However SEVEN hours later my vision is still blurry and Im still seeing double. Its scary. I hope my vision comes back (I have good vision normally). Just be careful about this. I would take Lyft or Uber for an appointment at this office. They are not acting responsibly by telling patients theres no problem driving after a dilation/numbing. P.S. My vision is OK the next day, thank heavens. But I also had a very upset stomach and still do the day after. I Googled dilation and it said that that was a potential side effect of extensive dilation. Why dont doctors tell us about side effects?

Clean..Friendly..prompt..precise with exam. One doesnt feel like your being corralled like a herd of cattle.

Doctors are great ! Just expect to be there at least 2 hrs .

Very good access from Eastern n plenty of parking. Outstanding office ,the staff is very friendly n follow covid 19 practices. The Dr n staff are so nice n professional. They treat u like family n make u feel at home. N that’s good cause the process takes about two hrs. No companions are allowed. Only appointees are allowed. Another safe practice to follow.

I love Dr. McCandless and Bianca (office staff). I have been a client at Wellish for 16 months. From the very beginning, Dr. McCandless was always patient and thorough when answering my endless questions. My vision is better than it has been in forty years. Bianca was always friendly and welcoming. I only wish that I had done lasik years ago!

Dr. May is amazing. He was very thorough and willing to help remove the cyst I have had for over 4 years. The rest of the staff was very friendly and thorough as well. Had a bit of a wait after they dialated my eyes...but it was worth the wait. Will definitely refer them to those I know.

I walked in for my free consultation and was pleased with the cleanliness of the office space and the staff was very friendly. The office seemed well organized and well run. After the technician did me pre test stuff we met Taylor. She was extremely friendly and explained all of the process thoroughly. She answered all of our questions and made me feel very comfortable about having the procedure done with Dr. Wellish. I highly recommend this office if you are considering having Lasik done.

The only reason I gave 5 stars is because we cant give 10. Dr Ortiz fully explain what he was doing and why. I felt like I was getting the VIP treatment the whole time. I got my eyes dilated for the first time. I appreciate the time and care they took during my visit. This is how all appointments should be. They have set the bar high.

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Wellish. They accommodated me after hours in an emergency situation and have been super-professional in follow up and subsequent visits. Dr Wellish performed a complex procedure on my eye and did it after hours without blinking an eye 😉. I hope to never see them again under these circumstances but going forward the Wellish Vision Institute will get all of my family’s business and I would highly recommend to everyone. Thanks doc!

I have had many great experiences at swelling Vision Institute. The first experience was having LASIK surgery. They made me feel so comfortable and the results turned out great. Yesterday morning I woke up and I couldn’t open my eye. It just kept watering. I was able to get an appointment. Dr. McCandeles saw that I had an abrasion on my cornea. He put a protective lens over it and gave me some drops. It feels so much better since he did that. I will go back on Monday to see how it is healing. I would definitely recommend Wellish.

I had to see Dr. May on an emergency basis yesterday due to a stye which suddenly appeared on my lower right eyelid. The friendly and helpful office manager Nicole was able to schedule an appointment for me at 3:40 PM at their newest location on South Eastern in Henderson.I arrived around 3:20 PM and had a very short wait time before the doctor’s assistants administered a preliminary exam to make sure that I had experienced no vision changes. Shortly thereafter, Dr. May arrived to further examine my eye, to render a diagnosis, and to prescribe the proper treatment and follow-up. I was extremely impressed with the courteous and professional treatment that I received from everybody who helped me.I have been going to the Wellish Eye Institute for years because it was actually Dr. Kent Wellish who performed my LASIK surgery way back in 2003. For the past few years, Dr. Mattheis has been treating me at the Box Canyon location and he is another great doctor. I was fortunate yesterday to secure a same- day appointment with Dr. May who is their eyelid specialist. The Wellish Eye Institute has all the bases covered and I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for the highest level of eye care and expertise!

I was legally blind for years I got around with my cane I am completely blind in my right eye for over 25 yearsMy left eye I had lost vision and only had like 10% with no hope according to other doctors I started taking eye vitamins I went to Dr May and he worked with Dr Kirmani to get all my history I walked in on 6/6 now I see in that left eye like never before 95% I am over the moon I am believing in miracles in Dr Mays handsNow I can run my online radio show smoother as of 6/13 @DespejandoLV and my team are very thankful

I had gotten a new eye drop because l was bleeding inside my right eye. They gave me a new eye drop..after a month the bleeding stopped but the whites of my eyes weregetting real red. So l went back and the dr. said that l had developed an allergy to the meds...so he took me off that med. And said when my eyes are better hell check to see how the bleeding is... But first get well.Very nice doctors..and..they have several different offices around Vegas and Henderson. I would highly recommend them.

Incredible and professional practice all around. Dr. Wellish is highly trained and educated, I felt so safe with him during my Lasik and PRK eye surgery. He also has great bedside manner. My eye surgery was the most life changing medical procedure I have ever done... For the first time in my life I can see without corrective lenses! Dr. Wellish’s staff is wonderful as well. Taylor is amazing and very kind. During my pre-OP exam, Bernie and Dr. McCandless answered all of my questions and made me well informed of the procedure and aftercare. Wellish Vision Institute is the best eye practice is Las Vegas!
