I am able to do shared Banking from Illinois and anywhere else I have gone. I now live in Illinois for 2 years I have had Altura credit Union for over 5 years and have loved their customer service every step of the way. I have 3 accounts with them and get wonderful service with all of them all the time.

Always prefer a credit union over a mass chain banks. This place was fine; line about 4 people long in the early morning on a weekday with 3 tellers. Get to the front and Im told that they can not do a withdrawal from my credit union which is not their bank but the ATM outside would allow...so theres that. Went outside and withdrew my money from their ATM.

I would like to give a shout out to Diana Duncan who was able to give me such Awesome customer service this past week. When I went in to the CU I was worried there was no solution to my situation, before I knew it Diana was ready and willing with the answer. I cannot thank her enough...she restored my faith in humanity! Every branch needs a Diana...lucky for Altura they have employed such a wonderful woman! Thank you Diana, Thank you so much!

This bank is the best. Everyone in the location is very friendly, helpful, and never shy away from a good conversation or laugh.

Great professional friendly service, every time that I walk in. A couple months ago, I had a skimmed card situation and had some fraudulent transactions done. Everything was resolved in a fast prompt time. During all my years banking with Altura, I havent had any issues whatsoever. Thanks for everything.

Ive had this bank for a long time and I have never had a bad experience until today. I dealt with Anthony who was rude. My husband didnt understand why we couldnt do what we can in to have done. So he rudely repeats himself and says like I said... If a customer doesnt understand the first time, heres a thought, explain it in more detail. Dont be rude!! I will never deal with him again.

Do yourself a favor if you use them for a loan and find your own vehicle. Trust me there loans are awesome but the department that finds a vehicle for you is not.

Ive had quite a different experience than other people here. In my experience they have always been polite and reasonably efficient. I havent incured hidden fees, but then I dont go overdrawn.

Just went in with my whole family on Tuesday they are polite and show good customer service.

Since they closed the one on Florida I now have to drive to the far side of town and wait in a long line. Its not this facilities fault. Im not happy with the bank company, having one small facility for the entire city isnt enough. Also, I was denied on requests and have been charged high fees on cashing checks. There are so many other banking options I now ask other Altura customers why they havent left yet.

Ive been with this bank for a while now, overall I would say I am content with them. Ive never had any trouble with their customer service in person (which I highly advise), but customer service over the phone was absolutely terrible! My questions were completely disregarded, spoken over, and was hung up on mid-sentence. VERY DISSATISFIED!

Altura Credit Union basically has a policy that allows them to steal from their account holders. If you have an Altura account that has bills coming directly out of your account and you over draw, they charge you twice. They say that they charge you $30.00 when the money is placed on hold and an additional $30.00 for the over draft.In my case in incurred $60.00 in Courtesy Pay Fees for an overdraft amount of $0.53.I dont believe its legal to charge twice. This particular overdraft was all done within minutes to iniatiate both charges.

Awful awful awful. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Lost important documentation on multiple occasions and took it upon themselves to perform actions to my account without my consent. Atrocious

Really slow. Staff has no control of Basic operations. Noticed some customers waiting for staff, while staff debated about who was doing what. Looked like to many leaders and no workers... This town needs one more credit union

Now that there is only one Altura in town it stinks. I only switched to from my old bank because when I purchased my car at 19 they told me I would get a great discount if I had direct deposit through them, Yah it was like $3, and they also told me after a year of paying good I could switch my car into my name only (my dad co signed), After that year I called but it was going to make my interest jump 20% so I just left it as is. Well its been 8 year since then and the place isnt any better. You MAY get lucky and enter when no one is there but if not then it will be a long wait since they usually only have two or three tellers. Yesterday I went to do a wire transfer and waited almost an hour before I had to leave and go back to work. Hopefully I have better luck today but I doubt it. I cant wait to switch to a different bank.

Good place to have a checking and saving account

Their banking system messed up on a check from a class action lawsuit and now they say I need to get another check to fix the problem they created and now Im being charged a stop check fee. Which I know altura will say its not their reaponsibilty. This bank has gone down hill and I have been with them for 10 years

If youre broke and dont know how to manage your money, youll hate it and talk crap. If you dont struggle with finances and retain common sense, youll love it. Thanks Altura

Horrible service and lack of customer care

I have financed three vehicles here with no problem till I paid the third one off. Altura couldnt get me my pink slip after multiple attempts. I had to haggle with the DMV/altura for eight hours to finally get a maybe I will recieve the pink slip if they accept the info from Altura. I will not be using Altura again due there inability to furnish my pink slip and wasting my valuable time.

They say they are for there customers but in reality they are in it for themselves..they say we want to help you ,but then they say oh I am sorry we cant help you at this moment...they SUCK...
