Love this place, will be returning! We parked our 25 camper over the weekend and managed to easily maneuver it into a spot and hooked up great! We were very thankful for the hookups as it was a hot day so the a/c in the camper was a nice break between riding and hanging out at the lake! Never once had an issue! We even sunbathed on the nice green grass. Thank you Eileen and Conrad for the wonderful service! Helena is lucky to have a place like this!💜
I stayed here with a couple of friends while doing the great divide. This is a great place for anyone traveling by bike, they have a shed to store the bikes that is equipped with all kinds of tools, 2 showers (one outside and one inside), 4 tent pads, 1 bunkhouse, 2, toilets and a washing machine. It was extremely affordable and well within biking distance (~2 miles) from a brewery/restaurant. The hosts were also very hospitable, friendly and thoughtful.
Good people with great service. Awesome visit.
We had a great time in Helena. The weather was overly hot and forest fires made it pretty smoky but the campground was excellent. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We hope to stay again soon. My only critique would be that it will be nice when they have some more shade trees.
We spent an extended weekend here, travel guide from out of state. We stayed in the cabin and were very impressed by the overall value and quality shown in their commitment to customer service. Clean facilities, fresh linen, mini fridge, and fresh coffee every morning. Plus free WiFi and Movie channels if you just want to lounge around. Friendly type of people that run the place. They host an evening outdoors fire Pit where anyone is welcome and there’s always good conversation and stories to be heard. Now that I think about it all, I can’t wait to get back over there for another visit...
Spent 3 nights tent camping. Very nice spot for bikes and to be in the shade. They are very accommodating for bike packers and super friendly. Quick walk to the water to cool off, meet lots of fun people. Definitely recommend staying here!
Very friendly, Conrad is quite the hostess super funny. Lots of fun riding areas. Had me laughing every night my cheeks and ribs hurt from so much laughter. Elieen his wife is very accommodating and friendly. Best down home country feel and comfort. I dont know how any one could give this any lower than a five star review. You dont get any better than this in Mt, iv been every where in Mt and this is by far the most wholesome and got the rustic Mt feel.
What a great venue, plenty of wildlife and trails close by. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. Reasonable fees. I received a lot for my money. Thanks Eileen and Conrad. See you again soon. Bill
Guys! This place is the bomb. I rolled in after 60 miles of trail (mountain passes take it out of you!) and I was tired, dehydrated, and just needed some rest! Sites were super clean and ready to go, all self check in. I planned on trying to find a laundromat to get my clothes and gear cleaned up—turns out the nearest one is miles away BUT THEY HAVE A WASHING MACHINE AND SOAP READY TO GO ON SITE! Score! My first load is drying on the line, second load is almost done. They got a full outdoor kitchen, a shower and the owner was super cool and showed me everything and gave some cool background of how they built the place up. Fire ring get lots of use looks like, the pavilion is a great place to get out of the weather and work on your bikes etc. This place has been a God-Send. Highly recommend! Also they have two super friendly dogs and a cat. They’re the official welcome committee. 🐾🐾🐾-Zack
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and the trails. For the price you cannot beat the amenities!
Conrad is an excellent host, we highly recommend staying here for a few nights. They have put extensive work into this property to make it very comfortable for all who stay.
Stayed in the hut it was very nice and cozy! Loved the view!! Very nice people! Definitely will stay again😊
I love this campground. The facilities are incredibly clean. The pavilion with picnic tables add s a nice touch where you can have dinner out of the sun. The hosrs are good people who go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is fantastic. They will even go out of their way to point out local attractions. Its in a fantastic location close to the centennial trail and the Montana WILD education center. Spring meadow lake State Park is a short walk away where you can go swimming. I cant say enough about this campground. I will definitely be back to stay there.
My family and I had an amazing stay at mtb city! We rolled in on our bikes while doing the great divide mtb route, and were welcomed with ice cream and a bike friendly picnic shelter and camping area. The laundry, shower, and cooking area were just what we needed! The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we really appreciate it.
Great place to relax after a long day of mtb! Lake right next door to cool off and a nice little patio area to hang out with a campfire!
MTBCity is a great stop along the Great Divide. The owners are super flexible - we were able to park our car here while we rode for a week. The acommodations are thoughtful (shower, washing machine, cooking utensils, tables) and have bikepackers in mind.
Love the amenities, they have a cute picnic shelter, kayaks, bikes, they even provided ear plugs for the train. The owners are very helpful and know the area very well!
My partner and I are currently biking the GDMBR, also know as the tour divide which runs from Canada to Mexico. This little campground popped up on our route and decided to not only spend one night in their lovely tent/camping pavilion but a second rest day in their bunkhouse. Eileen and Conrad go more than above and beyond to make this place a haven for bikepackers like us. Hot showers, bathrooms, and laundry are all the little things that count especially after a long week on a bike. Their bunkhouse is incredibly comfy and well stocked, and we were stoked to be able to drink real coffee after being on the road for so long. This place is cozy, affordable and one of our favorite places we have stayed so far on this trip! Thank you so much for your hospitality Eileen and Conrad!
For $10 a night, you cant beat the amenities at MTBCity. A tent site on manicured grass, indoor bathrooms with hot showers, bike storage, and adjacent to town trails. Owners are friendly and accommodating. The only downside to staying here was the sleep quality. The train horns were constant all night and light pollution made it seem like daytime. But, the only way to escape that is to camp in the mountains away from the town.
Loved this camp ground! Well done hosts!
Beautiful place to camp! Definitely recommend!
What a great place! Nice grassy space for tents, good 3-sided shelter and wood-burning stove- which we really needed because it rained/ hailed- and clean bathrooms/ shower, all for an amazing price. Easy access to trails and for riding into town. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! Only regret we didn’t get to meet the hosts- Thanks for creating MTB City!!
The property is beautiful and the owners are very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and very friendly!
I recommend MTBCITY to all MTBers headed to or passing through Helena, MT. Conrad (The owner) was an exceptional host to our group and very knowledgeable about trails in the area. Thanks for making our trip a great experience. We will definitely return.
Highly recomended for all bikers, amazing spot! Conrad (the owner) is so friendly and welcoming, The rec path to town in on the edge of the lot and takes you downtown. There is a beautiful lake just a stones throw away. They have bee hives on the property and we where lucky enough to get to try some honey comb. The best and most affordable spot in helena. The bathrooms and showers are nice and clean.Do your self a favor and check it out yourselves.
Too small for my tent, length of time allowed to stay v. Cost and size unreasonable
