Ive stayed at Wildhaven Sonoma multiple times and have always loved my experience while there. The tents are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful for suggesting things to do during my visits. I love their private access to the Russian River as well! Overall great experience and would suggest for solo travelers, couples, or families.

Absolutely do not book during harvest if you’re a medium sleeper. This does not reflect on the staff as they were very sweet and accommodating. Wild haven sits on Alexander Valley Road and is a main thoroughfare for the trucks during harvest season. Started anywhere from 230 am until 430 am and continued full on. I ended up booking other accommodations after two nights.

I planned an offsite at Wildhaven for work! This was the perfect Covid friendly work offsite. The team at Wildhaven was so easy to work with and very accommodating to our group. This was also a very unique venue to mix up our traditional hotel off-sites and my group loved every minute of it! I will definitely continue to work with Wildhaven for future offsite!

This is my first camping an This is my first camping and I love it ! 🥰 This place is cozy and clear. Staff are speedy and kind, they are nice. 😉 The utilities are well arranged and condition of things are clean and convenient. I made reservation on weekday and this place is not busy so I enjoyed the calm and comfortable time and saved money than weekend time. They have private riverside and we enjoyed swimming there. And around here are many wineries so I like this point, too. I visited the Mill Creek Winery near here, and I love it ! 🍷 I made a wonderful memories thanks to Wildheaven. : -) 💜

It was a great experience. The tents were clean and the beds comfortable. The river was floatable and cool from the 100 degree heat. And then we got a thunderstorm in the night and it was so cozy to listen to the rain in our tent. All in all a wonderful place!

Arrived on site around 6:30pm to check in for the night and it was an easy process as they text you day of to check in from 3pm-7pm. It was super easy to check in at the gate and get directed to the tent. I booked a riverside tent and a standard tent for me and my friends and it was great to see that the tents were clean and towels were provided. There were enough bathrooms and showers for everyone there and I believe there were about 38 tents in their lot in total. I also appreciated that they provided outdoor sinks so you can wash your hands and brush your teeth outside. There were picnic tables and fire pits at every tent and a private parking spot and the only difference the riverside tent provided was just a hammock, closer (2 min) access to the River entrance, heated pad for your bed, and Amazon Echo so if you dont care for those amenities, a standard tent will do just fine. The river being at your foot was great so you can take a dip and also take in the serene sites. The only complaint I have was that we were so close to the freeway, we hear cars all night long so a little difficult to sleep but they do provide you with some ear plugs. The staff was super nice and you can easily buy firewood, kindling, and matches for $12.99 a bundle if you did not bring your own. I would definitely go back and stay a little longer to enjoy the site.

We reserved 4 tents for my daughters 16th birthday and had an amazing time. The tents were large, clean and beautiful. I called them little outdoor hotel rooms. The property itself was immaculate, showers and restrooms were constantly cleaned, nice community dish washing area was a plus. They also prove free coffee every morning which was nice. Easy access to the River with outside showers too. The River was pretty packed with families and limited space. The staff were all welcoming and there to help with anything you need. Yes, they are strict with night time noise levels to ensure a relaxing experience . If you want a late night party camping experience, this isn’t for you.We stayed up to star watch and hang out, just spoke quietly and had zero issues so I’m guessing others that had issues with management simply didn’t respect the camp resort rules and must’ve been super loud.. 🤷🏻‍♀️We’ll definitely be back yearly!

Our stay at Wildhaven Sonoma was amazing! Our tent cabin was quite spacious and very clean, even with 2 adults and 3 kids. Everything was ready and set up when we arrived. The river was a short walk from our cabin. Also, the service was great and the personnel were all super friendly. It felt like a family business where everyone was so personable. All in all, everything was well thought out (from the gate and steps going down the river, ropes attached to the rock for easy hike, to a separate sink outside the bathroom to wash hands and brush teeth, another separate sink to wash the dishes with dish soap and sponge provided, a grill and stove in case you didnt bring your own, ear plugs for the light sleepers, hammock, coffee in the morning, and much more)! Did I mention that this place is reasonably priced?!?! Weve been to a couple of glamping places in Bay Area and this was by far the best experience we had (all things considered). We will go back again for sure (for a longer stay next time).

Wildhaven epitomizes the heart of his dreams. We had an AMAZING experience at Wildhaven! We drove up from LA and it was worth the long drive in my opinion. As a huge fan of the tent cabins in Yosemite, this reminded me of an elevated version of those. The tents are so nice and much bigger than other tent cabins Ive stayed in. You feel secluded in nature but realistically youre only 10min away from town and 20-30 min away from some gorgeous wineries. When we went it wasnt warm, so unfortunately we couldnt enjoy any water activities, but I think that just means we need to go back again soon! I highly recommend visiting Wildhaven!

The camp site and amenities were great, however we were very disappointed with the manager and how he tried to handle us. So the camp site shuts down at 10pm which means they would like no noise after 10. Who goes camping with a noise shut down at 10 you may as well go to a hotel. He had staff move us to an area where loud talking was aloud, mind you it was at least 2-3 different camp groups in the loud talking area. The next day he sent us all text messages complaining about our noise…dude we are camping what do you expect. The staff was very cool and set us up again the next night in the same area and the manager Erik told staff to not turn the lights on for us an eventually told them to call the police. Good thing the staff was hanging out with us or it would have been a problem. So don’t stay here if you want to hang out and enjoy your family and friends after 10 pm

Nice place, good size, clean tent and awesome bed. Hosts are very good, super clean toilet and showers. The biggest damper is how close each tent is next to each other, takes away the whole idea of ca/glamping. Literally the neighbors snore to *art could be heard. Let alone their own discussions.Plus the place is very close to busy Alexander valley road. It can get very noisy, while this cannot be controlled, probably hosts could rethink their placement of tents.Overall good for one night, if you dont mind noise from neighbors.

I camp quite a bit in Colorado, the old fashion way...leaky tents, thin sleeping pads, musty sleeping bags, and tons of equipment, enough to fill my car. Dont get me wrong, I love CO camping, but getting to glamp at Wildhaven in the gorgeous Sonoma valley was such a TREAT! I brought NO camping equipment. None. We had first time smore makers, kids from ages 3 to 78, and we made lasting memories for all. The tents are spacious and clean, the beds are a DREAM! There is traffic noise, but even as a super light sleeper, with the aid of the provided ear plugs, I slept soundly and awoke refreshed and ready to make the most of our stay. Our group enjoyed: the Russian River just down the stairs from our tents; Healdsburg is a wonderful town with a great farmers market, yummy restaurants and gorgeous shops and galleries just 10 minutes away; touring some vineyards; picnicking at Sonoma Lake with local foods sold at the Wildhaven store; conversing with super friendly staff and other Wildhaven guests; and cooking over the fire pits--kabobs and smores, served with local wine. There are gas grills too, but we did not need them. Showers, clean and with hot water! I felt spoiled; no reason to be overwhelmed setting up and breaking down campsites, its all done for you. Fun and fond memories of cozy and comfortable accommodations. Now if the owners would open a site in Colorado, I could clear out my closet of all my camping supplies! Thank you Wildhaven!

I was thrilled when my boyfriend took me here for a special occasion. He knows I love camping, but Im such a wimp when it comes to being cold. Our tent came with its own firepit and heater, and the bed had a heated mattress, so we stayed cozy the whole time. I was surprised at how big and clean our tent was. The bathrooms (the worst part about real camping) were super clean and airy. Huge plus! The store was stocked with a nice variety of quality boutique food and drinks - as expected for Healdsburg :) There was such a wholesome vibe to the entire experience - the town, the river (steps from our tent), the hikes, and the sunsets - so romantic!

This is a beautiful camp ground that for the most part is a five star if it wasn’t for the highway noise. So let me start with all the goods . The camp grounds have a beautiful river and the surrounding area is very picturesque. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding warm and soft . Cleanliness was spot on ! Both the bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The check in was friendly and helpful . Now for the bad - non stop highway traffic noise . They provide ear plugs but I personally find them hard to sleep in. We paid extra for the upgrade for a more “private” tent and supposedly better location - don’t waste your money . All this did was put us closer to all the other rv’s , campers, and the highway . We would have been better off not paying the upgrade. Staff had us all camped on top of each other even though there were rows completely empty. And trust me when I say highway noise spoils the location .

From the rooms to the bathrooms and showers, you will always have a cleanly experience. While the facilities themselves are perfect, the real advantage Wildhaven has is the friendliness of the staff. So apparently the place caters to obnoxious guests like her. She kept on referencing their FAQ that said you can’t speak at night. So if you are a person who doesn’t like to speak after 9pm you will enjoy this place.

A little bit of tranquility with views of the water. Loved the direct access to the river when it got hot. Attentive and warm hosts with good facilities

My dearest friend and I just recently spent a weekend at Wildhaven Sonoma, our first overnight trip together, and I should also add both of our first time trying glamping, and I have to say it truly did not disappoint. I enjoy both camping and traveling, as much as I possibly can, so I was definitely curious to see how this experience would be, particularly when we’re all adjusting to travel in a life of new restrictions with COVID-19. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, it was an amazing experience. They truly bridge the gap, offering guests the “experience of camping,” while staying in beautiful safari-style tents, completely furnished with a full bed, linens, bedside tables and lights, along with small details like a space to hang jackets, and a small heater, which heated the space quite quickly and efficiently as we noticed the temperatures starting to drop overnight, which we certainly didn’t mind, nor noticed, as we stayed nice and warm in our beautifully furnished tent. While staying there I certainly noticed just how relaxed I felt instantly, definitely reminiscent of the experiences I’ve had while camping. The staff definitely made us feel so welcome, providing us with a tour when we arrived, along with providing an informative and interactive experience with texts we received throughout our stay—once the day of our arrival with all of the details we would need for our check-in and stay, and again throughout the weekend with any new information or updates that we needed to know. The property itself, though, really is the gem that is Wildhaven. Just a short ten minute drive out of Healdsburg, your drive to the property takes you past a couple of wineries and into Sonoma wine country itself, which we definitely enjoyed some of as part of our stay. Beautifully tucked away from the road, the tents overlook the Russian River, which guests are afforded their own private access to along with several spots along the river to either enjoy a swim, a paddle on a kayak or stand-up paddle-board, for guests that have brought their own, or just to sit back and enjoy the views, which I know I definitely loved doing. So, I have to confess, one of the features of Wildhaven we loved the most, though, as odd as it may sound, was their amazing shower buildings. I may enjoy camping, but let’s be honest, I don’t like to rough it *that* much, so when I first discovered they have a shower building with an entire bathroom and sink included, I was pretty much in heaven. *laughs* The property has two shower buildings, one with three standard shower stalls with a changing area, as well as a larger, ADA shower building, with two standard size stalls on the back side. While there I truly felt spoiled with hot showers that didn’t cut me off, and there was never a wait for, with more than enough space to change in. I don’t know about you, but I know that for me, this was huge.We truly loved our stay at Wildhaven, and our entire weekend spent exploring Healdsburg and the surrounding Sonoma wine country that it afforded us. The attention to detail and service they offer to each of their guests really shines through in the space and all that they do here. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Such an incredibly beautiful place to stay to take in the area and to reconnect with nature and the ones you love.

Wildhaven is still very new, and has the potential to be amazing - sharing my key takeaways:- Glamping tents are very close to each other - you will get to know your neighbours well, sound travels, and all tents are lined up in rows, so there are no secluded spots.- You can hear the road next to the property - its not that busy or noisy, but be aware. They do provide earplugs, just in case.- Shower block is still under construction but will be great when its finished.- Clientele - far more families than wed bargained for; the place was overrun with screaming children and scooters. Yes, theres river access, but it was like a kids swimming pool.- Tents are nicely appointed - simple but effective, with electric plugs by the bed, a fan and hanging rack. Beds are comfortable. Quiet time between 10pm and 7am (I think).- Staff were super helpful - we sent a text for more pillows, and they were quickly delivered.- Good fire ring with grill for cooking on. Firewood available for $10 a bundle (which is enough for about one night), which was bone dry and came with matches.- Water from the taps tasted a bit funny, but was potable. Id recommend bringing a big bottle of spring water instead.- 5 mins cycling (along an admittedly busy/fast road) gets you to Medlock Ames, fantastic winery with lovely patio/olive grove seating.

Had a great time with my wife & 2 kids! The adjacent river was CRYSTAL CLEAR, and the electricity in the tent was a godsend when it came time for the kids to wind down for the night.

We have no camping experience so Wildhaven was the best choice we could have made. The tent was so comfortable with bed for us and cots for the kids (they wanted to use sleeping bags), we enjoyed the wood fire bbq, as much as the gas bbq available so we could even make ourself a pasta and boil the water for coffee. The kids were so happy. The river was amazing, only a few steps away from the tents, we spent all day bathing, playing with sand and rocks, fishing, exploring..The showers are beautiful and clean. Already looking for a date to go back. My only complain is that unfortunately, nothing to do with Wildhaven, we came across a group of people that behaved as if they owned the place..loud voices, loud music, they even projected a movie at night on the tent with loud speakers. I was hoping management would shut them down but it went on way past 10pm. The day after at dinner time they started the same behavior (which was also going on down the beach at daytime with loud music and extra loud voices) so I asked the person on duty if loud music was allowed. He promptly went to them and told them to shut it down. Soon after another tent put music on, not so loud but still I could clearly hear it 4 tents away..nobody went to tell them to turn it off..Anyways, aside from this, I want to go back as soon as possible!!

Great spot. Views are off the charts. Right on the water. You can almost fall out of your posh tent and land in a 1/2 dozen vinyards. On my list anytime I want to stay in the area. Glamping++

Overall we enjoyed our experience. It’s a great area, in a nice location, with all of the amenities. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful. The only complaint we really had was on a few different occasions we would be sitting in our tent, by the fire, or trying to relax on the patio, and one of the employees that was cleaning the other tents nearby was blasting her Right Wing political podcast extremely loud, with obviously no headphones. It got to the point where we left for the day, hoping when we came back she’d be done. And the next day it happened again. It didn’t ruin our experience, but we thought it was very strange, and rude. But like I said previously, we were able to put that aside and enjoy our time for the most part. If that didn’t happen, I’d probably be giving 4 or 5 stars.
