I have been going to this dentist office for 10+ years (as well as another family member) and will keep coming back. The staff is always caring, cheerful, and helpful. The lady in the front helped with sorting out my insurance so it wasnt a headache for me. My hygienist was very clear on explaining my dental health and how to improve on it. The Dr. makes his visit to check my teeth, cheerful and informative. The office is always clean and organized, plus I felt safe navigating around because of all the precautions they take with COVID.

1st time visit on 12/2/20. Great office, excellent COVID protocols to protect both patients and staff.Everyone, from front office staff to support to the dentists were excellent and highly competent which, for me, is a rare find in a dental office. Everyone was thorough and explained things well. Office space and equipment were well maintained and over all the place feels like a high quality space.

Dr. Giang and his amazing staff have taken great care of me and my family for many years. I would not want to go anywhere else!

Ive been going to Southland Dental for quite some time now, and just recently returned for a cleaning somewhat worried about covid and how they were going to handle that. I saw precautionary measures everywhere including sanitation misting, air purifiers, face shields with double masking of staff, and precautionary measures for myself as well to ensure safety for everyone involved there. I always have been impressed with this dental group and as far as I can see, they are continuing to deserve their reputation for professionalism and patient care.

I was made to feel very comfortable, and I felt confident that the Dr. and his staff are very knowledgeable and took the time to discuss my needs.

This dental office is run with one thing in mind: Making profits at any cost - They use fear and authority to try to scare their patients into getting expensive, out-of-pocket services (i.e., not covered by insurance) which the dentist, the dental hygienists, and the office staff claim to be preventative. Find a dentist and dental office that actually puts their patients health first and isnt just looking to charge their patients for unnecessary services to fund their weekend ski trips. Your teeth, gums, and sanity deserve better!

I have been with Southland Dental for many many years and was patient of Eileen, their long time hygienist. She recently retired and I was transferred to Bianca. I was so worried shed never be like Eileen.... I just left my second visit with Bianca, and she was amazing. Very personable, gentle and patient. Five Stars for the team at Southland Dental and especially for Bianca!

Best dentist Ive ever been to.Dr. Tran is super gentle and is really accommodating if you have dental anxiety. All the techs were extremely friendly, and after my first visit Ive been greeted by name the second I walk in the door. Its clear everyone working here cares about their patients. Also very clean and up to date on equipment.

I took my daughter for her dental exam and cleaning . The staff is very professional and follow protocol in efforts to curve covid 19.My daughter was very pleased with how the process went and is looking forward to returning in the future!

I have been to this dentists office years ago but lost my insurance. So when I got insurance from my new job, I couldn’t wait to go back! The staff is super friendly, The doctors are amazing and extremely personable, and they are always open to feedback. But what i Love most of all about this office in particular is the amazing relationships they build with us as patients. The fact that when I returned back and I was remembered regally made me feel special not just as a patient but also as a person.

Southland Dental has always taken the time and effort to not only make your smile beautiful but also make you feel comfortable. Though they are going through construction, they are always professional and truly nice and kind hearted people. I have been with them from 13-23 and never had an issue. My whole family comes regularly and can tell you the same thing.

The Southland Dental Office Staff is very capable. I had a procedure and is went and underwent the process with no major discomfort prior to or following the work. I felt no discomfort in what was a delicate procedure. Patients are interacted with pleasantly by both dental assistants, receptionists and dental assistants.

Ive always disliked sitting in the dentists chair and what comes with it. Anna however did a great job with my deep cleaning. The staff seems to be all smiles. I will be returning. (updated) Ive returned and Anna is still great, and the girls (aka staff) are great.

After decades of anxiety connected with dental care it was hard to break that cycle. I started seeing Dr. Giang & everyone at Southland Dental shortly after my husband passed away. Everyone was so patient & caring. I walk into Southland Dental now relaxed & looking forward to interacting with them. They are exemplary at what they do. My experience at Southland Dental and with Dr. Giang did more harm for me than good. I didn’t get the service I paid for or the privacy I was promised. The staff exposed my personal health issues in front of other patients three times. I called and asked ahead of scheduling the procedure to make sure the office and doctor could attend to an anxious patient, and I was promised care I never received. (The doctor did not complete the procedure, took my money and had a poor dental chair-side manner.) In fact, Dr. Giang was irritated with me when the inflammation I was experiencing, after the work he did, made things take longer than he expected. Dr. Giang seemed to be rushing through the procedure which most likely contributed to the inflammation I was experiencing. So it was very poor patient care. My requests for follow up have been ignored, which is probably a good thing for me. Since that experience, I’m now even more nervous about seeing a dentist.

After trying three other dental providers that were bad, I got my daughters advice and went to Southland Dental. They are terrific! The team has provided the best dental care for me. They are very professional, friendly, and do what is really needed not just what will generate more money. Dental work is not always pleasant but Southland dental is as painless as possible.

Best dentist ever! Been seeing Dr. Muzio for over 15 years, and would never consider another (and Ive had plenty of teeth docs in my 54 years!). Hes an expert in his field, a super nice guy, gentle and accommodating. His hygienists and office staff are great, too - Linda is the only one that knows how to floss my teeth without drawing blood, is thorough but kind. You cant go wrong here - never had anything closely resembling even a bad experience...Southland Dental is great!

I used to be scared to go to dentist, also a very strong gag reflex didnt help. Since coming at Southland dental under Dr. Chans care, all my teeth are fixed and I actually now enjoy going to the dentist for regular cleaning. I got multiple Crowns,fillings and root-canals done here. Compared to the ones i got done before through various other dentists, I can really see the difference myself on the X-rays. The margins are fabulous. I also like Dr. Chan and Support stuff thinking with me to minimize cost and spread out the treatment in a best way possible.I also like the fact that they think about cost/benefit. My family works in dental offices, even though that would be way cheaper for me, i prefer this office (because of quality and patience with people like me) !Awesome support staff too ! Always friendly and flexible !

I have always had a positive experience with Dr Giang. I started going to him many years ago when he was at Gentle Dental and promptly followed when he opened up his own practice at Southland Dental. I would say Dr Giangs greatest traits are his attention to detail and his commitment to get your teeth healthy and looking great. He doesnt sing along to the office music as often anymore when working on my teeth, but that is not necessarily a bad thing! ;) Rest assured - your teeth is in good hands. For those who unfortunately need a tooth implant, Dr Dave does an excellent job. I have had two teeth implants in my life and my last one was by far a more pleasant experience than the first I had over 10 years ago.

Ive been going to Dr. Muzio and the gang at Southland for dental care for many many years. It truly feels more like a visit with friends than a dentist appointment. They always have the latest tools and cutting edge care and procedures and I never worry about an unpleasant or painful visit. The office looks brand new and contemporary---its hard to believe how long they have been there. Incredibly reasonable pricing and customer care that you rarely find these days. I would recommend highly to anyone who wants the best dental care and honest opinions on procedures. I believe they always have the welfare of their patients as number 1 priority and the quality of care has been maintained for so very many years that it really is impressive. My family recently just moved to Hayward 2 years ago and Ive been hesitant to go to a dentist place just because I used to love going to my dentist in san pablo. Im the type of person who would drive out of my way just to get good care.After my first visit I was very nervous and scared just because I was comparing the place from my old dentist.Let me tell you the staff is wonderful and I mean wonderful. Ive received nothing but amazing care from this place. Fay is an all star of an employee and goes beyond and I do mean beyond her means just to take care of you. You will probably see her more than anyone on the office and that is not a bad thing. Dr. Giang is a great doctor that thoroughly explains what it is and needs to be done and does not beat around the Bush. Dr. Dave is the same and makes you feel comfortable when youre on the chair. As we all know that chair can make anyone feel nervous and afraid. But during my visit, both doctors were outstanding.Let me just finish by saying I have recommended this place to my family members and friends who lives in the area. So if you are looking for a fantastic place to get your smile perfected dont hesitate and call!!

I really cannot say enough great things about Southland Dental and their entire staff! I usually have horrible anxiety with dentists but they have completely changed my thoughts and feelings about going to the dentist. I came in for an emergency root canal and was treated with such kindness that I couldnt help but hug my dentist when it was over. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time AND it was virtually painless. Dr. Giang and Melissa made me feel so comfortable and even made me laugh throughout the whole procedure and Dr. Muzio even came by to offer his comfort as well. I will never see another dentist. I found my spot! Plus the staff and Dr. Giang called me the next day to check up on me! Which was also very awesome. Super highly recommended !!!!

Southland Dental Care is the best Full Service Dental place in the East Bay Area. Ive been coming here regularly for almost 20 years, and theyve always been superb in their care, cleanings, and more advanced procedures. They have the most friendly and caring staff around, Faye, Brenda, Debbie and my hyginest Laura all go the extra mile to make you feel great about your care. Also, SL Dental always makes you feel like they go above and beyond in trying to work the best insurance arrangements possible, and never hassle you about paying your bill with more time. And, recently they underwent a complete remodel inside with new walls, paint, and upgraded all their equipment in addition to going fully digital and modern. My Only Complaint is that Im ex Military career, and I could get nostalgic with the universal GRAY tones painting. But its all good, a few paintings, prints, smiling face posters with COLOR would top off an otherwise Perfect Dental office! Thank you Dr. Musio for the many terrific years of great Dental service youve provided me and my family. Dr. Giang is terrific, please add some color to the Office.

Ive waited way too long to write this review just as I waited way too long to seek dental care. Who really wants to go to the dentist right? Thankfully I found Southland Dental. After meeting with Dr Giang the first time I realized my dental fears were unfounded. Dr Giang and his entire staff are so caring and patient focused, providing personalize care I felt comfortable right away. The multiple procedures, and some extensive, have been virtually painless. I however can be a bit of a pain but Ive had terrific treatment from the entire staff. Office personnel to dental assistants and of course Dr Giang who explains everything in detail so the patient can make the best decision. Thank you Southland Dental for many awesome vs fearful dental experiences.

I started coming to Southland Dental after my long time dentist retired. I didnt care for the new Dentist that took over his practice. My Mother, Lillian, recommended Eileen, Hygienist and Dr. Muzio. She said Eileen was very sweet and gentle and Dr. Muzio was a kind and very nice man who was gentle and caring about her teeth. And, of course, Patty, Dr. Muzios assistant was very friendly.
