Horrible experience and I didn’t even go to the appointment. Had to cancel the morning of because of a funeral and they still charged me $400 to cancel the appointment…ridiculous cancellation fee which is almost how much the appointment itself would have cost. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said absolutely not.

Dr. Tanenbaum is one of the most humble, honest and caring practitioners I have known. As a former associate of his, I have seen him help patient after patient.... after patient... over many years. I only wish I had the knowledge and the patience he possesses to treat the ever so challenging and complex conditions of facial pain and TMJ disorders. When you see Dr. Tanenbaum, you are receiving over three decades of education, training, knowledge and experience that make this gentlemans expertise surpass many by far. If you are suffering from a TMJ disorder or facial pain, I hope you are lucky enough to become one of his patients.

I have struggled with TMJ for years, as well as other issues that affect my neck and jaw. My regular dentist gave me something to protect my teeth, but the pain became unbearable. He suggested a specialist, and recommended I go see Dr. Tanenbaum. I am so lucky! He looks at TMJ from a thorough, holistic perspective. He listed to my complaints, and provided a comprehensive plan involving relaxation, mouth guards, and meditation. In just a couple of months, I am feeling so much better!

I originally posted my review on February 17, 2020, however it mysteriously disappeared from Google. Last year I was referred to Dr. Tannembaum’s practice by my primary dentist after he suspected that my oral-facial pain was originating from my temporomandibular joints. When I visited Dr. Tannembaum’s office, he examined my teeth and took a panoramic x-ray of my mouth. Afterwards, he determined that my pain and associated symptoms were due to emotional stress and recommended that I seek cognitive behavioral therapy. I followed Dr. Tannembaum’s advise but the symptoms persisted. A few months later, I was examined by a Neuromuscular Dentist who determined that my symptoms were originating from a misaligned bite. This diagnosis was confirmed with panoramic oral x-rays and other specialized tests, which are unique to measuring the functionality of the mastication muscles. That doctor recommend that I wear a customized bite splint and referred me to a Cranio-Cervical Physical Therapist. This course of treatment has proven effective towards relieving my symptoms. Had Dr. Tannembaum diagnosed me correctly, my condition would have improved sooner. I wasted my time and money by visiting Dr. Tannembaum’s practice.

Dr. Tanenbaum is simply the best. He is gentle and patient. He has great bedside manner and really listens to his patient’s concerns. I was in pain for months until I finally got referred to Dr. Tanenbaum. He has helped me tremendously. I would like to thank him and his staff (everyone is incredible and so nice)! I highly recommend him for anyone suffering with TMJ.

For a few months I was having terrible pain and tightness in my neck and jaw area. After a few visits with treatment from Dr. Tanenbaum I experienced a great deal of relief in those areas. Highly recommend!

I have been a patient of Dr. Tanenbaums with much success for about 15 years now. I only wish I had seen him sooner instead of exhausting other options that didnt work. A great specialist and the only one I would see for TMJ issues.

Dr. Tanenbaum saved my life. After randomly developing tinnitus while at college with no seeming cause (and thus no way to alleviate it), I developed TMJ from over-clenching my jaw from the stress of it. As a result, not only was I in constant discomfort from the tinnitus but in chronic pain in my head, jaw, neck, and even shoulders and there was no escape. Dr. Tanenbaum was the first doctor I saw who seemed to understand how this was affecting me, and set me on the right course. He made a bite plate (which I now swear by), sent me to physical therapy, and was even able to convince my parents, who were understandably apprehensive about certain medications, of how dire my situation was and thus paved the way for me to get the right psychiatric care to deal with the tinnitus. Although Im not 100% better yet and am still under his care, Dr. Tanenbaum has greatly alleviated both my physical and emotional discomfort. I would recommend him to anyone; it is absolutely worth the money.

Dr Tanenbaums services arent cheap but its my health & the results are amazing from the 1st visit. Hes a lifesaver to me and many others where no other board certified specialists could do anything for my head/neck pain. I had actually lost most hearing in the right ear, verified by 3 separate hearing exams at an ENT, and it came back within a day or so after he treated the underlying cause. THE BEST!!

I was suffering for years with TMJ so bad it made my ears ring and buzz. I went to countless dr’s Who had no answers for me. Dr. Tannebaum assessed my situation and did some trigger points shots directly into the problem spots. After a few visits I was feeling like normal. I go back now as needed. I highly recommend Dr. Tannenbaum.
