The place is always under good leadership ,is very clean for the most part and staff is helpful and nice classes start on time and the kids are always well behaved who go there. I love using the jacuzzi/hot tub but its currently broken for over two to three weeks now its very disappointing because as a rule of mines , I must focus on my recovery just as much as I do my workouts as they both are equally important..Lol unfortunately I see ppl always focused on mainly the nutrition and the fitness but the truth is both are important but SO IS YOUR RECOVERY TIME AFTER YOUVE WORKED OUT. PLEASE FIX THE JACUZZI/HOT TUB ASAP!! I WONT COME BACK AGAIN UNTIL ITS FIXED! Most YMCAs that Ive been to have been redone with recent renovations this one has not and it really needs to update its facility the lockers are old and outdated and the family locker rooms need bigger&better lockers suited for families. And adding a outdoor pool would be very nice addition to any future renovations to this place .. when that happens I will change my rating from 3 to 5 stars!Edit: I am very pleased to say the hot tub has been fixed and I heard there are renovations in the works which they are going to have two YMCAs in the Hammond area so I am very thrilled

This is now a senior citizen building. They dont offer any type of exercise or services of the YMCA.

Ive been coming to the YMCA since I was 6Its always been a safe haven for your mind body heart and soul

The female security officer is the nicest, sweetest, hard working employee they have. She makes the place better with her positive attitude.

This is not a YMCA please remove yourself from YMCA list and Yelp stop it , I got a membership thinking i could go to a YMCA near where Im staying Its been mis labeled for a long time to the point its on purpose
