I had to undergo a major hip revision with Dr. Nelson as my primary physician. To have Dr. Nelson treat you is the best choice a person could make. He is a straight shooter and tells you exactly what is going to be done from start to finish. I am totally pleased with Dr. Nelson services and the expert staff that attended to me. For the first time in about 10 years I am pain free!!!

I just recently had a total hip replacement. Although I’m in good health and on the younger spectrum for this procedure, I was still a little anxious. But I knew this was necessary to improve my quality of life. Dr. Stephen Nelson was amazing. From start to finish, he was patient and took his time time explaining things every step of the way. He kept in constant communication with me before, during and after the procedure. The operation itself was smooth and performed in their surgical center rather than a hospital. I was able to spend the night in a suite right there before being discharged. It was helpful to do so. I was up and walking and had two Physical Therapy sessions under my belt before being discharged. I just saw Dr. Nelson for my 2 week post op and I feel fantastic. I’m walking fine with no limp, climbing stairs without pain and ready to take on my athletic activities again. He said everything looked great and I think my incision looked flawless. I still have a few more weeks to heal and follow ups before I am full go. But I’m forever grateful for Dr. Nelson and his team. They have given me a new lease on life.

Dr. Nelson replaced my right knee a year ago 2020,Im pain free. He just replaced the the left knee at Conn. Orthopedic at Midstate in Meriden. His office team and his surgical team are fantastic! Im in therpy now and doing well. He is a caringand wonderful Dr. and easy to talk to. He called the night before surgery to see how I was doing , wanted to answer any questions or concerns I had. Then the next morning I saw him before I went to surgery. I cant say Thank You to him enough, Now I can play with my 3 yr old granddaughter pain free❤

Highly recommend him and Founders Recovery Care, where the surgery was performed & had the option to stay overnight for individual care.
